On eftps.gov site-they say "Make sure the security lock is closed Secured browser padlock on your browser" and they show a yellow padlock. I cannot find this yellow padlock on my screen. It does show - https: Is that the same thing ? Help

The new computer here did not grab the Bookmarks from the previous, and yesterday I thought I had them loaded, and today went to Worker-Bee side and they are not showing.
About those add-ons... I have no idea, but think I got everything up to date yesterday. I will look at your earlier reply tomorrow or this weekend when I have more time at home to learn from it.

I'm using Firefox 4 Beta and I tryed install update but I dont got success. Now every time that I go start the browser is displayed the mensage: "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again"
My release is installed not in default drive C:\. I installed in the other Partition on my PC.
I don't have other release installed.Try a clean re-install.
* Download the setup file from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/RC (this is for the Firefox 4 release candidate)
* Uninstall Firefox, do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data"
* Delete the Firefox installation directory - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
* Re-install Firefox
This process does not remove the Firefox user data such as bookmarks and passwords which are stored elsewhere in the profile folder.

Help>About Firefox> says I am using Firefox/3.6.10./GTB7.1 I get a note from Mozilla that there is an update. I download it after granting permission to change my machine. I say OK. A green bar slides across the monitor announcing that the update is being downloaded. When I then assume it is being installed I get the following error: The update could not be installed. I click on Firefox and it says that Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few minutes. Then I get "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." this cycle never ends. Do I need to deinstall Firefox and re-install? If I do that, do i lose all of my bookmarks, etc?

I have lost my Napster music from my Sonos system controlled via the Sonos app controller. Sonos Helpline suggest the following -

However, when I look in Settings I cannot see anything which has Manage Services. Any ideas as to how I can find what they are suggesting?My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

i have a tower from a company that was given to me, i downloaded firefox 5 version i cannot go to my bank site or go to my credit card site i get problem loading program, make sure that firefox is permitted to access the web. what do i have to do to get to the sites i want. do i have to download any plugins to go to the sites or is there a security problem? i dont knwo what to do
There should be a User Agent Switcher menu item under Tools, which gives you the browser names you can impersonate.
The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.
There is also a User Agent Switcher button, you can add it using View -> Toolbars -> Customize, and dragging the button to your toolbar.

You can just start trying IE versions (or the versions it says on the site) until it lets you in. -
I followed the instructions on the support page. I did a Windows restart. I cannot see how other copies of Firefox could be running. No other apps have been launched and Task Manager only shows one copy of Firefox and no other apps. I have tried several times and always get the same result.

My OS is Windows XP version service pack 3. I even tried to install FF4 but it never get installed. As I mentioned my FF keeps trying to update itself but it gives the error message I provided in title. Now I don't have access to my FF browser and my life is stopped because I have all my passwords saved on FF. I restarted my notebook but it stills try to update itself giving the same error message. I can not also upgrade my Adobe reader 7.0.7 to 10 I have tried more than 10 times but it never gets upgraded. I had this Adobe problem since long time ago.

Get this message everytime I try to upgrade from FF6 to 7. I have rebooted and tried again twice and still nothing. Shortly after I get the failed to install message FF6 starts up by itself. When I load Firefox (since an upgrade to 3.6) I get error messages before it starts stating the quote above. The message does not specify which update and so when stability problems arose I stopped using Firefox in preference for another browser. I also get a message prompting me about Java which doesn't happen with any other browser. If I cannot get rid of these messages then I will continue to prefer other browsers.
No, if I used the version of Firefox that I had then not only did I have the problem that I described but also it crashed regularly.
As I said, the latest version does not appear to have these problems so with any luck I will be able to say that the upgrade has resolved the issues but it is too soon to be sure.
