On Government websites with interactive fill in forms the Info appears but when I hit "Save" it deletes that section
on FEMA AFG Grant App. & CCR (Central Contractor Registration) Fill in the blanks show as completed & when you click on "Save" the form goes blank & no information is retained. This is not the case when MS Explorer is used ( by another computer).
But i want them to overwrite the original. it is not a problem if the y save a copy as well, but the original must be overwritten.
This is not possible as it is "currently open". It is not possible to just make changes in the doc, save and close?

I have a 4th gen. Itouch wiht IOS4 and i want to update it, but when i click the update button in ITunes it says "contacting IPod software server" and it looks like it is loading. However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.
If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

My history will drop down from the navigation bar and highlight the letters I am typing so I can choose a previous page if I want to. But when I press enter to tell it to go to a site the drop down does not go away I have to click somewhere to make it go away. Problems with unrestricted fill in forms
i am using OpenOffice to create a fill in form. the security is wide open as i want folks to be able to fill in and save the form.
with Preview on Mac OS X, this is working fine, i can save and then reopen and the fields are filled in. With Adobe Reader on OS X (9.4.3 and 10.0.1 have both been tried), i can fill in but am being told i can't save the form.
if i fill in and save a form with Preview, then open it with Reader, the filled in fields only become visible when i select them. haven't explored any further, but this sure seems like a bug somewhere.The bug is with Preview. It has rather limited support for PDF forms and in fact corrupts them when it is used to save them, as indicated above. It's crazy that PDF forms have been available since Acrobat 3 but that Apple cannot (or refuses to) get it right. Adobe introduced usage rights quite a while ago (Acrobat 5.1?). They unlock features normally not available in Reader, such as saving a filled-in form. Non-Adobe software is free to do whatever it wants as far as editing and saving a PDF, even ignore the security restrictions. Some do allow more than Adobe Reader, such as FoxIt Reader, which allows saving a filled-in form and adding annotations. -

I filled in this form with important data. And saved it. I have since opened it and printed it again. Now when I open it the fields become blank I can see them for a split second as it clears them.

Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader. -
Running Acrobat X Pro.
Occasionally, a website with a PDF triggers Reader to be installed on my system.
NEVER want reader (that's why i bought Pro).
How do i keep Reader from EVER being installed?I don't get a pop-up. Something triggers the Reader installer to be loaded on my system. This occurs without my knowledge. Then, the next time i go to open a PDF, instead of it opening immediately with Acrobat Pro, I get the first screen of the installation stuff for Reader (Accept/Decline Terms of use, etc.). At this point, i get out of the install, go into control panel and uninstall Reader (which is listed as a loaded program, even though i haven't finished the install). After i uninstall reader and open a PDF, it opens correctly with Acrobat Pro. This happens once or twice a month at least. Is it possible that the Adobe Acrobat Update Service task loads Reader on my system at some interval? How do i block Reader form EVER being installed or loaded?

Can't connect to websites with any browser. Bookmarks do not work but bookmarks through bookmarks edit works just fine.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -

I need to update my apps in the App Store, but when i try to update, the Sign Up Apple ID pop up box came out with different Apple ID. How can I change it to mine? My iTunes Store already log in with my own Apple ID.

I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks (only happens with this app)it asks for the other account's password(which my ex changed by now). I don't understand why this happens when I'm logged into my account and it only happens with that app. Please help, I need to update. :/
Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

I have an apple iphone 4gs... It is synced with my outlook exchange in the office. If I do a search for emails that also checks the server then all of a sudden I end up with various amounts unread email with the inbox saying "Inbox 71" ..which is not true. The only way to make the inbox on the iphone back to 0 is to delete the account then re install it.

We have an older IMac (preIcloud) and just purchased a new Macbook Air. Our Iphones are set-up to synch with the IMAC and my calendars on the IMac & the phone look the same. But when I open ICal on the MacBook Air my calendar is missing items? Help.
Are you wanting to import iCal to the MacBook Air. Since iCloud doesn't work with 10.6 OSX you probably don't have any data in iCloud yet?

I have a iPhone 4 and lately it has been shutting down randomly when I still have battery left. It also doesn't turn back on, until I plug it in to the charger. But when I plug it in, the low battery sign shows up then comes to the lock screen with like 68% left.
