On how many computers am I allowed to install a copy of Acrobat Pro?

On how many computers an I allowed to install a copy of Acrobat Pro?

According to the End User License Agreement (EULA) law, it is recommended to install the Adobe Software on only two computers and that is mentioned on the End User License Agreement when installing the Software provided the Software is not used simultaneously.
However, you can install the Software on the third Computer by de-activating the Software from one of the older one and then install it on the new one so that you can avoid any error message while activating the Software.

    >install it on an indefinite number of computers?
You can put the install disc in 1 or 2 or 2000 drives... but that doesn't mean that the activation will work on more than two at a time
Since activation is required to use the program... you are limited to 2 installs at a time
As has been discussed in other threads, you must DE-activate one of your two allowed activations before you may activate on another computer
PS - I think I have also read in the forums that there is some limit to how many times you may activate and deactivate and activate again (no, I don't know the number... I just remember that there was some discussion of such)

Not sure what you mean by "Adobe Pro"; there are several Adobe programs that have the suffix "Pro".
Anyway, most Adobe software you can install & activate on two computers.

  • How many computers can version 12 be installed on?

We have multiple computers 1 desktop and 2 laptops. I primarily use my main laptop, but my desktop is faster for video editing. I see this is user id based when installing the trial and know that the way adobe is handling programs has changed along with other companies.

Regarding specically the words "With version 12..."
I am not sure if you are referring to something special in version 12 that I have not encountered or something else.
Be it Premiere Elements 12 or versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 12, I could and can always install a given purchased  version on as many computers as I would like beyond "2". But, I could not use (have active) the purchased serial number for a given version on more than 2 of my computers.
And, as I wrote in post 1,
Deactivation is not the same as uninstalling.
True, in Premiere Elements 12 deactivation takes a twist in that Help Menu/Deactivate of earlier versions is replaced by Help Menu/Sign Out. But, in both cases, it translates into Deactivation of the program on a given computer.
Did you mean to imply anything different.
    Thanks.

  • How many computers can you install Lion after purchasing from App store. My wife and I have our own Apple ID will it accept 2 different ID

I have a MacBook Pro and an iMac . My wife has a MacBook and an iMac. How many computers are you allowed to install from one download. We both use Apple products and have our own Apple ID. Can I download Lion on her computers after I have both of mine installed? Or does she have to buy LION again using her Apple ID# ?

A single purchase of Lion will allow you to download it multiple times as long as you use your Apple ID.
If your wife wishes to install Lion, she must sign into the App Store with your Apple ID.

  • How many  installs of Aperture allowed?

A while back I downloaded the Trial Version of Aperture 2.1.2 onto my G5, then subsequently bought the full version which was also a download. Entered the serial number & I was on my way.
Now I've bought a MacBook Pro and would like to install Aperture on it so as to Upgrade to version 3 at some point in the near future. My question is how many computers are you allowed to have Aperture on? When I try to enter the serial number after installing the Trial on the MBP the registration is not accepting it. My only options are to Quit or continue using it in Trial mode for 30 days. Can anyone shed some light on getting Aperture legitimately onto my MacBook Pro?

Would I be better to try to update the 2.1.2 to the last version 2.1.4 and then try the serial number?
Yes, that is what I would try.
You may also need to install the ProKit 6.0.1:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1318
Here is another link that you might need to use due to your already trying to launch 2.1.2 which will have you move the file to the desktop (to the best of my knowledge this file holds the serial number info):

For Aperture 2, I recall the file is named something different but similar at the same time as the 'Aperture System ID' - sorry it's been a while since I ran the trial of that version.

  • On how many of my computers am I allowed to install Premier elements if I purchase it ?

On how many of my computers am I allowed to install Premier elements if I purchase it ?
Is the software provided on a CD ?

If have Premiere Elements just on your old computer and you decide to buy a new computer and use the same purchased S/N Premiere Elements on the new, there are several options....keep in mind that your goal is NOT to have installed this purchased serial number on more than two of your computers.
    a. If you want to sell the old computer and/or never want to use Premiere Elements version x on it, then Deactivate in the Help Menu/Deactivate of the program if that option is there. Then close the program and uninstall via the typical Control Panel route.
    or
    b. You could leave Premiere Elements on the old computer and just install the same purchased serial number Premiere Elements on the new. The matter of having to buy a new Premiere Elements may come up only if you then want to leave a Premiere Elements with the same serial number on the old and new computers and then buy a 3rd computer and want to put Premiere Elements with that purchased serial number on that as well - not removing the program from old and new.
Focus on....each purchased serial number represents a license and that license does not permit you to put that purchased serial number on any more than 2 computers.
Please review and see if the above helps. If you have one purchased copy of Premiere Elements along with a serial number unique to it and just two computers are involved (old and new), it is not clear to me when you talk about a 3rd license. If you do not see my point, please let me know and I will try to explain another way. No problem.
    Thanks

  • How many computers can I install on?

Hey everyone I was wondering how many computers I would be allowed to install my Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection on? Also if it changes anything it will be the student pricing for the master collection. Thanks a lot!

In general, you can install Adobe software on one computer. In addition to that you can also install the software on an additional portable/home computer for the exclusive use of the primary user. That, in effect means, you can activate upto two installations with one serial number.
Any more that two, and you'll get an activation error.
The details are in the Adobe End User Licence Agreement (EULA).

Sure , you can install on both Mac as well as PC .

Copied from the License agreement on my machine:
    B. iWork Single User License. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software (whether
trial or full version) on a single Apple-labeled computer at a time. This License does not allow the Apple Software
to exist on more than one computer at a time, and you may not make the Apple Software available over a
network where it could be used by multiple computers at the same time. You may make one copy of the Apple
Software in machine-readable form for backup purposes only; provided that the backup copy must include all
copyright or other proprietary notices contained on the original.
    C. iWork Family Pack License. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on up
to a maximum of five (5) Apple-labeled computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same
household and used by persons who occupy that same household. By "household" we mean a person or persons

  • If I buy Logic pro, how many computers can I install it on?

if I buy Logic pro, how many computers can I install it on? will the spp-store let me download again if get new computer?

The license agreement for the DVD version of Logic is different... and  only allows for you to install it on two computers (Specifically one desktop and one laptop) In additiont you are supposed to only actually run Logic on one of them at a time and not both at the same time...
So in your instance, you should, according to your license agreement, remove Logic from your older Macbook in order to install it on your new MacBook Pro....
However, if I were you, I would contact Apple to confirm this as there is some discussion as to if this license agreement is still in force or if Logic, once it is updated via the App Store Update routines in Mountain Lion, then is covered by the App Store agreement which allows unlimited installs of Logic Pro on any computer you own...
It's a very grey area... and there is nothing stopping you from installing Logic on all three Macs except for that license agreement as the physical check that used to be present in Logic Pro, to prevent you using it on more than one Mac at a time, was removed a while back... so read into that, what you will.
Again, to be absolutely sure, legally speaking, contact Apple and ask them for guidance... (and if possible get it in writing from them, if they give you the go ahead to install and use Logic Pro on a third computer)
