On iTunes it says My Shuffle has stuff on it that it doesn't?!?
I plugged my iPod into my computer and started iTunes and I looked at the contents of my iPod and it says a little less than half of it is "other" when I have no podcasts or video, just audio on it! Help!
Try resetting your iPod shuffle.
If that doesn't work, a restore should take care of it.

How do I stop my itunes from saying my session has timed out when i'm trying to download a song
How do I stop my itunes from saying my session has timed out when i'm trying to download a song
What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem. -
When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?
This device is not eligible for the requested build (Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194")
Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw. -

My iPod classic, which is 6 years old is corrupted. A message that says ''Connect to iTunes to restore'' keeps on blinking on the screen, But when I connected it to iTunes it says an error has occured and my iPod has hung after i've disconnected it.
Hi,
Time to take your iPod in for service.
You can make a Genius Bar reservation in advance if you are in the U.S.

itunes keeps saying 'your session has timed out. try again" everytime i try to do anything on itunes
I had this problem, but it was because I was clicking on an external link. Try instead going straight into iTunes, then going to the Podcast section. At the bottom of the "Podcast Quick Links" section, there's a text, "Submit a Podcast." Click on this instead. Once I did, I got to the same page as before, but it did process the feed.
Good luck! -
what do i do when i try to open my ipod nano in itunes and it says "an ipod has been detected, but could not ne identified properly"
Hello rachel167,
I would use this:
iPod nano: Error message saying that iPod 'could not be identified ...
Ensure you use every step.
Hope this helps.

What would cause iTunes to say: "The song “All Prayed Out” could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" when the music library has not been moved or modified? This is the case for many, but not all the songs in my library.
But I can't... find... it... It's not there.
Unless you're talking about the entire Mozilla Firefox folder (which isn't what the thing you copied says,) there is no installation folder. -
When loging in to Itunes it says my password has not yet been used with itunes
When loging in to itunes it says that my password has not yet been used with itunes
are you really on ios 4? why is it jailbroken?
in ios 7 its settings - safari - block cookies
Peace, Clyde -
I upgraded to 11.1.14.62 this morning. Not iTunes is saying "An iPod had been detected but could not be identified properly". I unlugged/replugged in. I reset the iPod, I removed iTunes and reinstalled. I'ver tried three different cables.
When I put the iPod in disk mode it shows up briefly as a disk then goes away.
Any ideas?Hi there - I've spoken with Apple and here is their response (worked for me). You need to uninstall not only iTunes, but also (in this order):
1) iTunes
2) Apple Software Update
3) Apple Mobile Device Support
4) Bonjour
5) Apple Application Support
Then you restart your computer.
Then you install the latest version of iTunes (which will reinstall all those things you uninstalled).
Then you restart your computer again.
Mine is working perfectly again now.
I hope it works for you,
Carmen. -
HT5622 My itunes is saying I have to authorize my computer that is alredy on the list?
My ITunes account is wanting me to authorize my computer that is already on the list of devices. My device count says 4, and I understand iPhone are not counted against your totals, so I really only have three devices authorized that I know of. Now this computer is a Windows 8.1, I have a second hard drive in it for extra storage, and that may be part of the problem? Well the real problem is windows 8.1 is total trash... But I have a lot of music on it I want to get into my ITunes library before I trash tis dell desktop, because it has lost all sound, and will not play anything, and not even the geeks at best buy can fix it.. Can anyone give me some simple advice if their is such a thing.. I am worn out reading articles on win 8 that get me no where, and Microsoft tech support has no idea what is going on down at their office, or have no idea what customer service is either.
Basically I have 4 devices on my account, one being a iPhone, and this machine in question is already on the list of devices. Yet it says I am at my limit of 5, but is only showing 4? Dose that make sense to anyone?
Thanks, JohnPerhaps you've lost track of an authorization at some point. Deauthorize all then authorize the computers that you use with your account. See Deauthorize your computer using iTunes and iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases if there are further problems.
See this migrate iTunes library post for suggestions on moving your library to a new computer or archiving it before you restore the one that you have.

Help,,,,,!!
This evening my iTunes account decided that there was an issue with a previous item I'd downloaded and made me go to my account to re-enter my bank info as it was 'apparently' invalid and not accepted.
Has anyone else had this? I have tried re-entering my bank info about 5 times and still every time it keeps saying payment method declined.
There is nothing wrong with the card as I have made other purchases with that card online today.
This is my only bank card so cannot use another one and now have outstanding stuff to pay for on iTunes!.?!
Can anyone help me!!!!!!It's not a debit card, is it? The iTunes Store apparently no longer accepts debit cards. The current valid payment methods are listed here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552
If it is a debit card, you can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.
http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
If it's a true credit card, make sure the billing information you're entering matches the billing information on your card statement exactly. If you're certain that it does, contact the iTunes Store and request assistance.
Regards.
