On latest upgrade iTunes store fail to open

After upgrading latest upgrade all fine other than unable to access store.

The problems appears to be related to upgrading your iTunes to 10.4.1 in Windows 7 (in my case).  You need to do a full uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.  You need to uninstall all 6 iTunes related components and in the right order. See this link for more assistance...

  • Upgrade iTunes now Secure link to iTunes Store Fails

    Hello,
I am running Windows 7 32bit. My iTunes worked until I upgraded the software in iTunes, I have tried all of the suggestions that have been posted in the discussion board but nothing resolves my issue.
I even have uninstalled the latest version and installed the previous iTunes version and still get the same issue.

    Thanks

Hi everyone, I wanted to add to what was said to sovling the problem with the secure link to itunes store failed. I had tryed what was said above and still had no luck. But wasen't till i had tryed just one step before. So here it is and hopfully this is the solution that will help others that had the same problem as me, fix it once and for all.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7
1.Go to start menu. Click All Programs > Accessories> right-click "Command Prompt" and click on "Run as Administrator".
    2. type ipconfig /flushdns and hit return.  (this is the part that really helped!)
    3. type netsh winsock reset and hit return.
    4 restart your computer
    After restart launch iTunes.

  • After upgrading my iphone 5 to IOS 7, the iTunes Store won't open. Is there a fix for this?

After upgrading my iphone 5 to IOS 7, the iTunes Store won't open. Is there a fix for this?

I had the same thing yesterday. After google gave me nothing and after I was sure my phone had enough charge to restart, I did a reset on my phone...
Holding down the Power button, volume button and selector button on the front - for about 30 secs (or untill I knew the beeping had stopped).
I cant remember if I then restarted it or it it restarted itself, but now its back to normal! No memory loss from the phone either.
Freeked me out as its a new iphone 4s but glad to have it back! Without having to take it to get fixed by a pro.
    Hope that helps

  • HT3204 My itunes store will not open. I get a blank page. When diagnostics ran it said secure link to itunes failed. What do I do?

Itunes store will not open. I get a blank page. When I ran diagnostics error message said secure link to itunes failed. I have internet access, have turned off my security, and I can go to explorer and get on itunes.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Hellow every one. i just updated my iphone 5 with the ios7. unfortunately i experience different type of bugs...the most important one to me is that the itunes store do not open at all. i'm disappointed with this version of iOS. my itunes version is updated and my mc version is also updated
my question is: how can i make itues store to work? how can i go back to the previous version of ios?

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.
    $19.99 - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

Now what?

Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

  • HT203163 I am not able to access to iphone updates/store; as secure link to itunes store failed. I tried to turn firewall off, reinstall itunes and other troubleshoot options but none of them works.....

I am not able to access to iphone updates/store; it displays the message under diagnostics 'secure link to itunes store failed'.
I tried to turn firewall off, reinstall itunes and other troubleshoot options but none of them works......
    Please help.

Update:  I tried the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" after everything else either fizzled out or hung up. After going all the way thru the recovery process (up to 100%), I finally got an error message.....it didn't work. And now, when I fire up the computer, I don't even get to that menu with the recovery options....the only thing I can boot into is the screens with the various ways to run your OS (in "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", etc).
I'm not a techie, but I'm guessing at this point, the part of my hard drive that got damaged in the fall was, at the very least, the partition with the recovery data. Couple that with the fact that this cheapo Toshiba laptop didn't even come with recovery disk (or ANY kind of disk, even basic installation software!), I'm screwed: I don't see any way to get a workable computer now without some kind of disk to boot from. So NOW my concern is more about spending the $$ for a new OS and THEN finding out the hard drive has other problems too...is broken in some other way to boot.
How to check this? As I said, I did run "chkdsk" back when I could get into the recovery menu and run the fix-it programs. It didn't note any problems. Thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (which I never liked), but I have to know that the computer is otherwise ok....how to be sure?

I keep getting an unknown error when trying to connect to the store. I ran diagnostics and it says secure link to itunes store failed. I've tried all suggestions from apple and nothing will work.
    Please Help

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me...  I only had to reset the iTunes cache
    1) Open iTunes
    2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
    3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
    4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.

  • HT3204 When doing a "Network Connectivity Test" on my PC, as to iStore Connectivity, it says "Secure Link to iTunes Store failed". And when trying to "authorize" my computer to sync ringtones I downloaded to my PC, I keep getting an errot message.

When doing a "Network Connectivity Test" on my PC, while in iTunes, it tells me that "Secure Link to iTunes Store Failed", yet I'm connected to the internet.  I was unable to "authorize" my PC with an error message, as well, giving me the code (-3212), saying I was not connected to the internet, yet I am.  I can open browser after browser, and navigate just fine.  In going through the iTunes Help menu, I am running the tests offered in the drop-downs, but I keep getting the afore-mentioned errors.

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

  • Tried everything, but "Secured link to iTunes Store failed"

Hi all, I so hope you can help!
I can't connect to the iTunes Store, which also means I can't do any Home Sharing (this being my ultimate goal in solving my problem). I've got Windows 7 home edition, 64-bit, and the newest iTunes. Running diagnostics on this iTunes verifies that I can connect to the internet, but it says that "Secured link to iTunes Store failed".
I've tried what feels like everything! Trying to read tens and tens of threads on the matter here.. my tried solutions have been:
    1. Reinstalling iTunes, the latest version 11.0.1.12
    2. Running the command promt as an administrator, with "netsh winsock reset"
    3. Command promt with "sfc /scannow" (finding no problems)
    4. Agreeing to all windows updates
    5. Updating and repairing QuickTime
I don't know what to do, I really need this to start working! Any ideas? Please!
I've also tried everything from this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18106897#18106897

  • Secure Link for iTunes store failed... Got anything?

Every time I try to open up iTunes store, it wouldn't open. I ran the diagnostics report and it said the ( for first time ) that "Secure link for iTunes store failed". The second time I ran it, just to make sure, said that "secure link for iTunes store is successful. I got confused. So I copied the successful report for you guys to see if there's a problem. **NOTE** I never had or downloaded Norton, or Proxyserver, I even checked to see if it was on the computer. I have Windows Firewall, and Verizon Security, and my computer is a Window's 7. Here's the successful report of the diagnostics so you techies out there could figure what the problem is:

  • Error code: 3194 when restoring.. "Secure link to iTunes store failed" when diagnostics is ran..

as mentioned in the title, I have encountered 2 errors, one is when I am trying to restore my iphone and the other when iTunes diagnotics feature is ran..
I have read the information about the diagnostics result and saw something like "connection attempt to firmware update server unsuccessful". Because of this information I have concluded that the "error code 3194" happens because iTunes itself is unable to connect to the "firmware update server".
I am using Windows 7 64-bit and iTunes is now on the latest version.
below are the things I have done so far, but to no avail:
    - removed/disabled my antivirus program
    - put iTunes to exception list of WIndows Firewall
    - disabled windows firewall and windows defender
    - re-installed iTunes and made sure that it is of the latest version (version 10.6.1)
    - performed recommendation from: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17409780#17409780
    - perform flush dns command using command prompt
In addition to the steps I mentioned, I also tried running the diagnostics on two other computers running on different versions on iTunes, 10.5 and 10.6.0. I also did the same steps as above on these two computers, but I am getting the "secure connection to iTunes store failed" when the diagnostics were ran.
thanks for any help that you can give.

I think its weird that I experienced both the 3194 error code and "secure link to the itunes store failed" diagnostics error on three computers running on different OS (XP, vista and 7), itunes version and connectivity types (wireless and cabled). Could it be possible that there is a problem on Apple's server?
    Are you still there, shintenhouji?
    Perhaps try the following document:

(I've seen a few cases in recent times of this sort of thing being associated with LSP issues.)

  • HT1689 The iTunes Store won't open on my iPod, what happened?

My iTunes Store won't open. When it is clicked, it just flashes back to the home screen. I restarted it and turned it off and back on, but nothing helped. This all started after I upgraded to iOS 7.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
