On Line Account 2 log ins

Hello,
Hope someone can help me-I have a BT account but 2 email addresses are registered to it so I can log on using 2 different email addresses and 2 different passwords-one was a work address and I no longer want emails going there telling people my bill is available on line!  I want to deactivate and delete this work email address log in and it's password but there does not seem to be a straightforward way to do this through my account.  I don't see anywhere where it tells you how many different profiles are attached to the account number or anywhere it allows you to delete one.
Can anyone advise?

    Hi Allan, thanks for that. I've already set up a log in for my wife and that is all working fine. The problem is that when she logs in and opens iTunes and trys to associate her library with her iTunes account she gets the error message "This computer is already associated with another iTunes account". Whilst this is true, the computer is associated with my iTunes account under my separate log in, which should have nothing to do with hers. If she transfers the association to her account it will lock me out of my content on my log in for 90 days - I'm trying to work out how to associate each of the log in accounts with a separate iTunes account so we can access our music independently of one another without locking each other out. Hope that makes sense!

    Load the library which doesn't contain the songs and drag them into the open iTunes application window. If you need to move them between different computer user accounts, put them into /Users/Shared/.

    This common login is supposed to be one reason why Adobe can't implement NNTP. But what function does it serve? I've commented in another thread, and below is more or less, what i said there...
    That, i think, was the most assinine idea anyone ever came up with. I see no reason for not having separate log ins for store and forums / downloads. In fact, i can't think of one good reason to combine the two.
    If i were a user of the Adobe store, i would definitely prefer to have a separate login and password for that area. I think most people would. I see a lot of aliases in the forums. In the store, you'd want to use your real name for tax and audit purposes. Moreover, what's to stop people creating two identities anyway? So, the whole purpose of a common id is meaningless.
    Am sure, that even at this stage, it wouldn't be too difficult to separate the two. For instance, whenever i open the forums i see a welcome at the top of the screen. Right above 'Home'. Yet, i still have to login to the forums... what give? Idiotic.
    Adding to the above, doing away with this single log in would also mean an end to this frustration of suddenly getting logged off, randomly staying logged in, etc., etc.

    I have a Windows 7 HP desk top - rather new and functioning well. My email is free from AOL - Internet connection is AT&T. In logging on to the email account it is the typical user name/password process. When I now click on email log in or other log ins - the log in data entry space caret is barely visible and the typing I enter is barely visible, but when the entry data is correct my log in is accepted. And in all my Bookmarks only the icons are visible until I rest my mouse pointer on the icon.     Mountain Lion has created new user log-ins and moved old Users to a separate folder.
    The new users are set-up as "standard" and the old ones were "Administrators"
    All files are missing, i.e. no desktop files etc. But they are located in a folder called "Users 1" which is a new folder.
    Can anyone help?

    1/ boot on Recovery part (command R)
    2/ find "terminal" in disk utilities
    and write "resetpassword" for root. Enter a new password for the root user.
    3/ reboot as root user (or when your are login, log out and typing to open a other user "root")
    in the "system pref" panel, open "users and groups" and then create new user with the same name, same password.. normally it must be asking you about "You are already an account with the same name" say yes. And it's done.
    4/ Log out. re-log as the normal user. desactivated the root user.

  • Sharing between user log-ins

    Hello everyone -
    Yesterday my desktop icons and shortcuts magically disappeared as I was having some trouble opening Photoshop. I am able to open applications in OS9, but nothing running on OS10 will open. Interestingly enough, if I open Word using OS9, and hit apple/o, the browse box will open and I can select items from my desktop and they'll open - I just can't see the items on the desktop.
    I created a second user log-in and have been going between the 2 log-ins, opening desktop items and saving them to the hard drive. But I've noticed that when I'm on my new log-in and I go to Users/Kacie/Library and try to open Contextual Menus, it's not there as an option - so I can't ctrl+click, etc.
    Any ideas on how to fix my machine? I'm not sure if I should just uninstall OS10 or what I'm missing here...

    Kaciegrrl, you can check the permissions on your Desktop folder in the following way.
    - On the Finder menu bar, click File > New Finder Window.
    - In the Finder window that opens up, select the Desktop icon.
    - Go to the Finder menu bar and select File > Get Info.
    - In the Desktop Info window that opens up, click the triangle by Ownership and Permissions so that it points down.
    - Click the triangle by Details so that it points down.
    - You should have the following settings:
    You can Read & Write
    Owner is set to your account name
    Access under owner is Read & Write
    - If your system is set differently, then modify it to be this way. If the padlock is locked, you will have to click on it and give your password in order to open the padlock and make these changes. Lock the padlock afterwards.
    - If you do reset your access or ownership, I suggest that you also click the button that says Apply to enclosed items.

    When I downloaded Firefox 4 (which I really like, by the way) my ability to manage credit cards and log-ins through my Norton account disappeared from the tool bar never to return. Consequently, if I want to shop, I go to another browser where my Norton buttons appear on the tool bar. I thought I heard a "fix" for this would be coming sometime...but that's only rumor.     how do i get my log ins to stay in alphabetical order? i log in to 52 accounts everyday. if i don't log into them in the same order, they get all screwed up. (which makes it hard to find a log in). pressing the first letter of the name does not make it any easier because 30 of my accounts are numbered jcn01 thru jcn30. about 6 months ago, firefox used to do it, but since then i updated several times and this may be the problem. is there a certain setting that i am forgetting to set? can u please help, thanks a lot.

    The Music app, Songs view should already be sorted by song Name. The sort order is modified by any Sort Name so a song title like "The Blues" will normally sort under "B" instead of "T".
    If yours isn't sorting properly reset the device. If that doesn't fix it, backup the device, restore as a new device, then restore from the backup.

    I have a tacacs server running for accounting purpose only (so I use local authentiation). So I can collect all accounting logs only.

    As you can see, I can't see any command lines, such as show int ip b.   I can see all routers and switches logs, but ASA logs shows only like above. No mather what commands I used, it only shows above logs. Do i miss something? I like to capture all commands lines when users use ASDM because we use always ASDM.
    I used Free tacacs+ server, not ACS.

    In the ACS View Reports (Monitoring & Reports >     Reports >     Catalog >     AAA Protocol) you can select the
    radio button and by selecting 'Run' on the bottom run a specific query. Without that by default you will see only a report from one day.
    For the 2nd question, yes the ACS View is designed to store that information, however if needed you can send the logs to an external syslog server or perfrom regular backups of the ACS View database.

    if i authorize a computer under my itunes account will it work for all users on that machine?  My kids have different log ins on the same computer.  But we all use my account

    Ok thank you. So itunes needs to be open for both people at the same time in order to share? I used to use homeshare when i was in a flatshare and could access libraries even if my flatmates were not in and their computers turned off so was hoping that it would also work on separate log-ins.
    And given the above out only option would be for me to import the songs i want into my library using the source folder as the same that he stores his music in on the hard-drive?

    I just asked the same thing and did some research. Some people have said  that the UDID code is like banned from instagram, but your account isn't. I'm able to use it on my phone but not on my iPod.

    They can, but not at the same time.
    If one user left iTunes running, and another user tries to use iTunes from a different Windows user ID, that second user will get an error message.  If they really want to use iTunes, they either have to beg the first user to log in and close iTunes, or else they have to restart the computer.
    If you are asking the technical reason why, it is something about context switching.
