On Line Gallery

How do I move my online gallery to my website?
Is there a way to copy the html for the gallery so that it can be pasted into the website page text? Or is the process far more complicated?
I've read everything and even talked to tech support.
Unfortunately, the advice I got was not correct so I'm back where I started.

I'm building the webpage through SBI and I do have a user name and password.
I can put images, word links, image links, and all kinds of things into the site through the use of SBI's block building system and by adding some html.
I can create inert galleries but haven't figured out how to do sliding galleries/slide shows on the site.
Creating the gallery on Photoshop 6 is easy, but haven't gotten beyond that.
I'm sure the solution lies in gaining an understanding of what to do with all of the files created by Photoshop when you create a gallery.
I was hoping that someone might have done it already and could share the process with me.
Pretty sure that the ISP has nothing to do with what I need.

How to reorder images in Shared Photo Streams

I share several Photo Streams and when i add an image that is older it appears as the most recent not in the correct date order. Is there a way to correct this behaviour...... I undersand the principles of a Photo Stream but i am trying to use the Shared Streams as an online gallery where i want to control the displayed order.

Seems a little conterproductive.....
A shared stream is meant to be a stream and not an on-line gallery. You are supposed to drop a photo into the stream every now and than to send to your friends and family, and they will send their photos back. Only, since it is the only way supported by Apple to keep an online album of photos in iCloud, we all want to use it differently from how it has been intended.
Send feedback to Apple with a feature request - hopefully the next version of shared streams will allow sorting of the items.

Aperture and multiple Macs

We're two users that have have one iMac and three MacBooks, one Pro, one regular and one Air.
Thanks to the very useful tips provided in this magnificent forum, we've managed to consolidate our two iPhoto libraries and migrate them over to Aperture. We're now having a rather large single Aperture "master" library on our iMac. This is also the place where we do all our image imports and editing.
What I'm looking for is practical experiences to get a subset of images from our iMac to our MacBooks, both for viewing on the road as well as to sync with a variety of iOS devices. Note that there's no need to do editing on the MacBooks, so it's a one way transfer only.
What I've been looking at until now:
Obviously MobileMe galleries are an option and I do hope these survive in Steve's future iCloud.
Put images to share in a dedicated folder and export this as a separate Aperture library. Disadvantage is that Aperture runs rather slow on our regular MacBook and MacBook Air.
Transfer Aperture images to an iPhoto library. Disadvantage is that for example slide shows cannot be exported this way.
Love to hear what other forum members do in real life.

Does it still run slowly in Quick Preview mode? Quick Preview loads only the Previews of images, and does not read or load the Master + Version. It's designed to improve performance during quick reviewing, keywording, etc.
This has the advantage of giving you the Aperture interface, with which you are familiar. And should the need arise, you could always merge back an adjusted or otherwise altered image.
The only other thing that comes to mind is one of the many alternatives to MobileMe -- something which allows you to host a on-line gallery of images. The disadvantages there are: must have on-line access; cost; maintenance.

CS3: Save For Web and keeping EXIF data???

I thought CS3 made a change to allow maintaining EXIF data within a file when using the Save For Web Option. I have Not found any option or preference for this. And when I use the Save For Web option, I loose the original time/date the images were captured. Since I use 2 different cameras where the file names are different, I rely on this Image Creation date when sorting them within an on-line gallery.
So my question is, IS there truly a way within CS3 to maintain an images EXIF data?

I've done this in the past, however... These images then show a color shift when displayed in a web gallery. I am trying to avoid this, that's why when I heard (thru several sources) that in CS3 the "{Save for Web" could/would leave EXIF data intact vs. earlier versions of Photoshop. The "Save for Web" option does display image colors correctly.
This is bad enough, when, while calibrated, colors in Wen galleries appear different between my Mac and PC displays (desktop & laptops)
...but then this is a different issue all together.

Upgrading from Panther to Tiger on a G4

Is it worth me buying Tiger from eBay? I want to install iLife08 because .Mac won't let me publish photos to my .Mac on-line gallery any longer.
I have bought another 512 MB of RAM and was going to install the Leopard discs that came with my new MacBook but Tekserve told me it might slow down a non-Intel Mac and that Tiger would be better.
I am no expert and want to extend the life of my iMac so would be grateful for any views. thanks, Jane.

If your Mac meets the Tiger System Requirements, Tiger is available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If your Mac meets the Leopard System Requirements, the Full Retail Version, of the Leopard Install DVD, can also be purchased at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, or a Full Retail Version, of the Leopard DVD, can also be purchased, sometimes less expensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, FastMac, HardCore Mac, AllMac, etc.
This is the correct one Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger, (DVD) Retail, selling for $159.95, at FastMac.
And at HardCore Mac, selling for $199.99.
Notice that both, are more expensive, than, the The Apple Store (U.S.), selling for $129.00.
As sig posted, be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
Tiger and Leopard are on DVD.
The discs should look exactly like the images in the above links, and not say Upgrade, CPU Drop-in DVD, or "This software is part of a hardware bundle purchase - not to be sold seperately." on them.

Once Tiger 10.4.x is installed, you can use the PPC 10.4.11 Combo Update, to upgrade to the current version.
If Leopard 10.5.x is installed, use the Mac OS X 10.5.2 Combo Update.

For optimum performance, more is recommended.

Pixelated Line Art in Photo Gallery

Hi
I am designing a photo gallery that externally loads jpegs
via XML. I have an actionscript that allows the jpegs to randomly
rotate at an angle as they load onto the stage. The jpegs contain
mostly logos that are line art. It works great but the images are
pixelated when they are at an angle since they are logos/line art.
I can't seem to find a solution to solve this pixelation problem. I
tried loading gif files instead but for some reason gifs does not
load correctly.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Although photo appears beautiful on phone screen, when reviewed in gallery, half the picture has a large line going through it. Any ideas? I went to VZN and they replaced my first new phone 3 days ago for this same issue.

I'm sorry your pictures appear different in your gallery sillyymom. I know its frustrating with viewing important images. Are you using a 3rd party picture application? do you have any apps that may be conflicting with your pictures. Have you tried to review your picture settings?

Help with a weird little blue line in the bottom right corner of my lightbox gallery?

I get a weird little blue line in the bottom right corner of my lightbox gallery when viewing in Safari and Chrome. Its not there when looking in Dreamweaver or Firefox. I'm going crazy! Can anyone help?

I have added to following code to sample_lightbox_layout.css

That fixes the dash, which is an underline. The default style for a link is an underline and since it was not defined the tag gets the default style for the underline.

Missing images in web gallery- strange lines??

When I make a web gallery and publish to .mac a couple of images appear to be missing or are cropped.. its really odd.. everything looks fine in the preview. Also I sometimes get these really strange thin lines through my images.. I usually dont notice them until I get my prints done.. Has either of these happened to anyone? Thanks.

In the past I've experienced the same problem with some web galleries. The problem went away after I quit Aperture & then opened it up again. I then went and republished the problem gallery without a hitch.
I too have experienced lines running through my images, but it's been quite some time -- The upgrades that Apple has released appear to have corrected the problems. It might be helpful for you to list what printing settings you are using, there are tons of people here who should be able to help.

If we want to create an on-line art gallery using the java programming,so what should we want to include inside it and what is the first step we should do before we try to write the program.

Web Gallery dissapears on my Iphoto but remains on line

It is maybe a settings issue but some web galleries dissapear from my i-photo although they are still showing on line. and I can not add/remove photos from those libraries.

First what version of iPhoto are you using? The latest is 7.1.2 and it had fixed many Gallery issues - if you have not updated you should do that first
a couple of things to look at
when you say the Galleries disappear I assume that you mean that they no longer appears in your source list (the left hand sidebar in the iPhoto window)
If they are not there look in preferences under gallery and see it they are there
If not then you can delete them via the finder - finder --web ==> sites ==> _gallery and drag the gallery(s) you want to delete to the trash and empty trash
If the galleries are complicated (not just a single album or event) you may want to print a list of the photo in the web gallery to make reproducing it easier. I generally make an album for my gallery then create the gallery from that album both as back up and to keep me from doing lots of editing while it is published - That can be slow and (used to I think now) sometimes create duplicates and other problems

Line no longer allows a thumb-nail gallery view and will not save names of drawings. No one is available on Adobe chat is able to address these issues.

Is anyone having problems with line and iOS 8? I can't save or name my files or see them in gallery view.

I'm running iOS 8.0.2 and it is working okay for me. I'm able to view all the projects and their drawings and when not in an individual drawing and can use pinch or expand gestures to zoom in or out for the project/drawings thumbnail view.
I can rename projects doing the following (click to view larger)
You might try these if you're having difficulties
Completely power off and back on your iPad. long hold the power button
Backup any projects/drawing you want to save and reinstall the app

I have up loaded a gallery of viedos and photos to my URL page, which I can bring up on my computer, but cannot be seen on another computer. How do I upload a gallery to my photshop.com web page, which can be seen by people I send the URL?

Whenever you upload anything to photoshop.com, you need mark the gallery shared. If it's publically shared, URL should be accessible by anyone. For private sharing, you have to send the email through Photoshop.com. Select the album and go to sharing option.

Image gallery will not work when on-line

Can anyone see whats wrong with this page? It looks as though its not finding the images.

Its fine on the local drive, so I'd assume that I've not uploaded all the necessary files, except that I created the whole show in one folder ('slideshow') so that contains all the images, the xml and script files etc - I've uploaded the whole folder in one go so can't see what could be missing.

Hi - by process of elimination I think it must be an absolute link. The script file is correctly referenced, I can't see any incorrect references in the html or the xml so if I've understood this correctly it can only be in the swf. The problem with this is that the swf file is accessed online, I think. I've not dealt with this kind of thing before and am struggling to work out how to access it to look at it.
I'm pasting in the code from the page below - it would be great if you could have a look and let me know if you can see what I should do next.
