On my I pad mini I keep getting "cannot get mail" the connection to the server failed. but everything is Ok I can get mail. Why do I get this message??
On my I pad Mini I keep getting the message "Cannot get Mail" The connection to the server has failed.
But this is not the case everything works OK so why do I get the message
An iOS fluke or mail app glitch maybe. Not sure anyone will know why you get it. Do you're ever close the mail app? Try closing it and reset the iPad and see if the message goes away.
Assuming that you are running iOS 7, in order to close apps, you drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Mail app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

when try to get mail it says "canot get mail, the connection to ther server failed", how do I fix this issue?
Check your username, password and account settings for that email account.
If they all look right, then try deleting the account, and re-adding it. -
I have used Firefox for a number of years but some time ago I got a virus on my computer. I loaded eset nod32, removed the virus and cleaned the old files etc. using ccleaner.com. Now I keep getting the "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" message and I haven't been able to use firefox since then. I have uninstalled and re-installed it several times with no avail. I suspect there is something in my windows frrewall stopping it.
If you want to check the Firewall, follow this-
1. Click Start Menu > Control Panel > Security Center.
2. Under the "Manage security settings for" click Windows Firewall.
3. On the Exceptions tab, do one of the following-
1. If Mozilla Firefox Firefox is there in the list, make sure it's checked.
2. If Mozilla Firefox is not there, close the Windows Firewall window. -
I keep getting an error pop-up when I try to access my email. The pop-up says Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I get this pop-up on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad. I can still access my email, but the pop-up is real annoying. Can someone please help me with this? -Stu
Hi StuNYC,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing an alert message when opening Mail on your iOS devices. Do you have multiple email accounts setup on the devices? Take a look at the article below, it provides suggestions that will resolve most issues that cause an alert like that to appear in when starting the Mail app.

I have mac osx 10.6.8 and I keep getting update notices that do nothing, just search for update server. Happens every day. What can you or I do to fix this? Other people I work with and use macs have the same issue.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

I've been working on our church website and all of a sudden this week, my computer will not connect to the site. I keep getting a message saying that the the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?
The "The connection was reset" error message can be caused by a bug fix for the BEAST (Browser Exploit Against SSL/TLS) attack that the server doesn't handle.

I got an iPad mini over Christmas and have had no issues setting up/managing my email until yesterday. I've had my Exchange email working for almost a month, and yesterday I stopped getting emails and getting the error: "Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed."
I tried resetting the device (multiple times) and deleting and recreating the Exchange account (multiple times). This is getting annoying because it worked fine up until yesterday. I'm not aware of any updates to the device, or any changes that have occurred since yesterday.Due to a screen issue, I had my iPhone 5 replaced two days ago. I repeated deleted the mail account and kept adding it but this did not make any difference. When I attempted to setup the new phone with my Google (Gmail via exchange active sync) accounts I was receiving this same "Cannot Get Mail" error. From what I was able to gather, this problem should be affecting Gmail accounts set up via Exchange. When originally purchasing the phone I was assisted and directed to set up my Gmail account through Exchange because it had the ability to use "ActiveSync" and push not only mail and calendars, but all of my contacts as well. I found this article regarding the subject.
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2413283,00.asp
What it came down to was having to delete my Gmail via Exchange account and separate it into two different accounts, a regular gmail account for my mail and a CardDAV account for my contacts.
Here is what I did. Google is changing their system and for new registrars Exchange ActiveSync will not work so you will be unable to register your account via Exchange and have your mail, calenders, and contacts all pushed together. I find this change really annoying. If you are having problems accessing your contacts after deleting the mail account, like I was, here is the work around.
To circumvent this issue go to Setting > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDAV Account: Under server ender google.com, then your email user name and password, then click next to verify the information.
I hope this helps. -

I keep getting a "The connectioin to the server failed" when trying to use hotmail
Go into Settings, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select the Hotmail account and check the account settings. Did you set it up with the Hotmail preset? Has this account ever worked on the iPhone? What other troubleshooting have you done?
