A reset has nothing to do with Internet access or data access.
A reset is simply pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the white Apple logo appears.

Did you restore a backup after you restored to factory settings? If you restored a backup, you should try restoring as new, but if hope that support already told you this.
Have you tried using another WiFi networK? Do you have a computer running iTunes? If so, can you download apps or music on the computer? -

Theres almost a trick to it for first time users, goto SETTINGS...General......Cellular (if Verizon) ....Personal Hotspot, turn it on.....turn on wifi on your Mac, select your Iphone. Enter password.
If you take too long doing it, youll need turn turn off and on real quick the "personal hotspot" slider on the Phone.......then go quick again thur the Mac. -
forgot my adminpassword, i have tried the reboot with initial disk didn't work, i am able to get into my computer with name and password, but this same name and password doesn't work as an administrators password when i want to download or change things.

It's probably that your Keychain password is not the same as your login password. If you configured your computer to log you in automatically, you may not have used your login password in so long you forgot it.
There is no way to retrieve the "login" Keychain password, but you can reset the Keychain from the Preferences menu: select it in the Keychain Access menu and select "Reset My Default Keychain". This will create a new, empty Keychain but the old one will be saved should you ever remember its password.
The result of this is that you will have to supply passwords for everything that requires it, since without your Keychain they will no longer automatically fill themselves. However, once you supply them and store them in your new Keychain, they will be remembered. -

For the past month I've been trying to update my iphone 4 (Verizon) from 4.2.6. I've got iTunes 10.2.2.14. My computer runs Windows XP.
When I try to update, I get a 3194 error message. I've tried everything that's been suggested in the forums here to fix this problem, including even uninstalling my antivirus, not just disabling it. Nothing works. I've tried resolving it through Apple Care, to no avail. Can someone please help me resolve this? This is a stock phone, it has not been jailbroken or customized. Internet problems! MacBook. I have tried every tip I've found online so far. please help
Internet works fine on all other devices. It does NOT work properly on my MacBook. I get good speed tests (ping:8ms Download Speed: 23.31 Upload speed: 4.95) and streaming video is fast, but browsing is incredibly slow. When sites eventually load they are faulty and pictures are broken. that's if the the site loads at all. I get all kinds of different results. page not availible ect.
I brought my MacBook to school and then everything worked fine. I can't figure out if it is my network or my MacBook that is the problem.
I have tried:
- using different browsers
- using multiple different DNS adresses
- Changing location
- Renewing DHCP
- Flushcache in terminal
- deleting all knowt networks
- restarting the computer
- changing MTU from 1500 to 1453
- turning off IPv6
altso when I run network diagnostic, IPS, intenet and server shows red, but I'm still conected and streaming videos and stuff. and when I run software update it takes forever and ends up telling me I am not connected to the internet.
Don't assume I know what I'm doing. All the things I've tried comes from tips online. I am an comlpete idiot when it comes to computers and especially internet stuff..

Drag this to the desktop (which will create a backup) Do not trash
Try loging out, shut down. Then login and try retrying, if no joy you can drag that file back to it's original location (it will ask if you want to replace. click yes)
Then we can try a couple of other things, this is not an uncommom issue, and does not seem to have a definitive solution that I have yet to to see.
I have however had some sucess by doing a comlpete a reset on the 10.6.8 machine in networkwork utililities (applications/utilities/Networkutility .app and running thru the prompts. -

As I've said, brand new iPod touch. I only synced it Friday night, put some music on it. This morning tried to connect to iTunes and got a message saying the pairing record was missing? Computer isn't recognising it either, but it charges off the computer just fine. Have tried everything including changing USB port, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes twice, literally everything I've found on forums. Anyone help me out here? Touch thinks it is a camera and doesn't work - please help!!
I've looked at the other threads posted here but nothing seems to work. My Touch is still recognised in the Device Manager as a camera and the screen on the Touch itself still thinks that I need to connect the USB cable to my Touch, even though it is already connected. I've tried updating the drivers with the driver in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\ folder, but that doesn't work either. Any other tips please?
lol you guys must be macking around with those cracks on the Internet...try to put your iPod to recovery mode and it should be fine, follow this:
- Make sure the phone/touch is on. The phone/touch must also be docked or plugged in to your USB cable.
- Press and hold the Power and Home buttons on the phone until the screen shuts off.
- Release the Power button immediately. Keep pressing the Home button.
- You should see a number of horizontal lines invade the now-off screen, and it will be slightly disturbing. If you just see just flat blackness turn your phone back on and try again.
- Your computer will recognize an "Apple Restore (DFU) Device". Open iTunes and it will complain about needing to restore.
- Now just restore and everything will be back to normal. -
My iphone 4s has no sound. Music doesn't play and phone doesn't ring. The speaker phone doesn't work either. It only vibrates. Can anyone help? I have tried all possible ways of trying to fix this issue. Someone mentioned that the speaker is bad.
