Help! Was using my iPad yesterday set it down for 10 minutes and all of a sudden received "server not responding" and "Cannot verify server" error messages. Cannot open/connect to iTunes to update software. Wifi is working with strong signal. Followed other message board suggestions: forgot network and readded, renewed lease, turned wifi off/on, reset network settings, reset all settings, powered off/on, rebooted, checked router. Internet works fine on laptop. I'm so frustrated and don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

    As long as you are connecting to the right router (check SSID) and are inputting the encryption key okay (WEP default) it should work fine, nothing else needed. Maybe try a router reboot/reset if it's still giving a trouble.

    Can you load a webpage in Safari with that wifi connection? If so then it's a problem with the iTunes Store app connection. If not then your wifi isn't fully functional and you need to troubleshoot that first.

    I have an issue where intermittently iphone 6 and 6 plus is wifi connected but internet does not work. iMessage works though.  Toggling the wifi setting clears
    the issue temporarily but it occurs again.  Running iOS 8.3 now.  This was the case on iOS 8.1 and 8.2 as well. 
    I have tried the typical troubleshooting steps (reboot/reset network settings/disabling location services for wifi/upgrade/etc)
    My router is an EA9200 router with 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.  It is configured with all bands with the same name.
    All other devices in my house works perfectly fine and has no disconnects (ipad/macbook air/tv's/receivers)
    My thought is that iphone 6 cannot handle well the moving around between bands. 
    Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you tried to reboot your router by turning off the power (you may have to unplug it from the power source), then waiting about 30 seconds, then turning it back on?  This seems to solve a lot of problems.

    Because the retina 15 only has a wifi connection (no ethernet), that's the connection I'm stuck with for the notebook. But on the 27iMac, I did have both ethernet and wifi enabled. When I turned the wifi off on the 27, therer was a brief moment when both computers were showing their counterparts when I tried to make a network connection. BUT, after a few seconds of 'searching', the computer I was trying to connect to disappeared from the Network list.
    So I tried the opposite; the retina can only connect thru wifi, so that's a given. I swithched my ethernet off and then enabed the wifi on the 27 and ....same thing: When I try a network connection, there are a few seconds of 'searching', then the ony option I'm left with is share screen, which doesn't work either.
    I've read the 'dropped' network is a problem with the retina, but the odd thing is that I never lose my internet connection—that continues to work fine, as does Air Drop—but I can't seem to connect, network-wise.
    Any ideas about the dropped network?

    Thanks for the suggestion Romit. I believe the reported error code was installer app code rather than Windows error code.
    I have now had my broadband installed so have retried this install again, rather than on original public wifi. I'm pleased to say that it has all installed very well. I'm therefore pretty sure that it was an internet performance issue.
    Hope this helps anyone in the future.

I have nearly exhausted every possible solution to the problem as seen from the support page for this error message.     I have a new Ipad and it is connected to TalkTalk wifi. But the problem is that Safari will not load a single web page?
    Are there any known issues with this problem. My PC connects to the same wifi network and is running fine.
    The build bar for the web page I try to access turns 3/4 blue but then gives an error message, 'cannot connect to server'
    TalkTalk call centre kept saying that they do not support Ipad? But would not elaborate!
    Apple call centre updated IOS 6.1.2 and reset network settings but no solution as yet.
    Do I need to take this back?
    Has anyone had a similar problem?

    Does this happen all the time? Does it happen on a specific site? What internet connection do you have?

    So I got an iPad2 last week Saturday, and the Internet was working great, but this week I have continuously been receiving an error saying: Cannot Open Page: Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. I check to make sure that I'm connected, and when I try to go on safari the page loads for about 30 secs and the error appears.
    I have tried everything thus far I.E.
         Turn the device on/off
         Reset my network setting
         Pressed forget this network and tried to reconnect
         Turned my airplane mode on/off
    But nothing is working. I got this as a graduation gift and it ***** that I can't use it. So someone please advise me on what I should do! :-(

    If that doesn't help, are you trying to connect only with a single WiFi access point? If so, can other devices connect to that WiFi, or have you tried the iPad with another WiFi connection to confirm that the problem isn't with your WiFi or Internet connection?

    I cleaned up all of my music on my external hardrive. I moved the cleaned up librery to iTunes. I connected my 30G iPod and I reset the content on the iPod, but now I can not sync with the computer and Itunes frezes and gives me an error saying that Itunes is not responding.     It's impossible to know exactly what the cause of the issue was on that one specific page, during a specific window. The Internet is a mysterious place and sometimes routing from a website to a specific computer can be a disjointed, frustrating process.
    I honestly, wouldn't worry about it at this time. If it becomes a repeating occurrence then I'd say there might be an issue.
