On my Iphone 4 facetime is on and the person I am trying to connect to has it on but, facetime doesn't work. Why?

Both parties must be connected via Wifi for Facetime to work.
If wifi is not a possibility, I recommend you try Skype's video calling funtionality as that works over wifi and 3G.

I recieved my OS X 10.4.1 install discs today so I put disc into my iBook and rebooted it. As I did the apple logo appeared after the bong, no loading wheel appeared then a load of writing appeared. Second, which exact set of installer discs? They have to be black colored retail discs, not grey ones which came with a specific model Mac and will only boot that model.
What are the exact specifications of the computer? Does it have sufficient RAM? You're asking a lot for a G3 to run Tiger. -
My iPhone 4 turns off (crashes) after accesing any apps, It work fine when plugged to charger (power supply). I tried all troubleshooting steps suggested by Apple but it doesn't work. I backed up my phone. I restored it several times. Even I re-installed iphone software. Also I restored it as a new iphone but doesn't work. What could be the problem and what are the availble solutions?
We can't know if there's a "fixture" because we can't examine your phone. But Apple can. Make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.

I am running Windows XP, SP3. I have tried to run Firefox 4 several times but it doesn't work properly. The main page comes up showing the logo, below that is the search box, and below that is another box with nothing in it.
The external DVD/CD Writer will Not appear on your desktop when you attach it to your iMac. It will appear in "Finder", which is in your Dock.

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! It makes simple things like deleting a number from my password login extreamly differcult. Please can someone help?!?! Thanks.
Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom.
Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF. -

You are not using iTunes Match are you? If you are, you have to turn it off on the device before you sync with iTunes but I'm not sure how that impacts manually managing music in iTunes. I would also assume that if you use Match, the songs would download from the cloud by using Match on the device.

This is sort of a long shot, but it's easy to try and won't hurt anything. Close all the apps on the iPad in the recents tray and reboot the iPad, then try again. I saw this work for someone else a while back that couldn't download or sync music, but I think it was probably just a coincidence, but as I said, it will not hurt to try.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I unlocked my phone using sn0w whatever and I have cydia and the only website that was helpful told me to download this hack software but it does not work because I have too high of a firmware on my phone. What do I do?!!
What makes you think I can't use my phone in another country or with another sim. You obviously can't, but we are hardly going to talk about hacking an Apple phone on the Apple site. By the way mine is officially unlocked so can swap sims within seconds.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then alright thats one step down. I would recommend this article as well, specifically sections 1, 3, and 5 which will resolve it if the issue is due to software.

when using facetime, the other person cannot hear me. I can hear them and we can see each other. my microphone works
This typically happens when you're using FaceTime on a WiFi connection that is either not too strong or not too fast.

Why? It doesn't change the fact that they are not answering my call. If they want to let me know why, they will.
It used to be the case that my carrier would put a beep at the end of the ring tone if the person you were calling was on another call. But they stopped it ages ago. -
