On my Iphone 5 Icloud keeps asking the password

Icloud keeps asking the ID apple password. no way to find a solution. what shall I do?

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • (iOS 7) iCloud keeps asking for password when performing a backup

    Hi everyone
since upgrading my iPad and iPhone to iOS 7, everytime the daily backup to iCloud is about to start, the password popup kicks in and I'm prompted to type it in .
I've tried already to sign out and sign in again but still this problem is affecting me. Both iPhone and iPad share the same account
    Thank for you help

    i have htis as well. 4s ios7.
i noticed it started after i begain playing clash of clans which is a memory intense game.
icloud will ask for pwd at night which is when i plug in.
it seems to still run backups as it ran last night.
however twice now when I have it plugged in during the day and enter my icloud password i'll lose all my contacts. have to power off/power on and they eventually sync back.
    really annoying.
i'll try quitting high mem apps before plugging in.. maybe that will help

  • I deleted my old email address and added a new one, after my iPhone died iCloud keeps popping up asking for the password of my old email address. I can't remember my password and the account is still gone, it pops up every few seconds. How can I fix this?

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

  • Icloud keeps asking password in iPhone

    Absolutely exasperating.
On iPhone 5, since a week iCloud keeps asking passwords, and telling me password is incorrrect.
Then, it says account is unavailable. Then it says it cannot retrieve mail.
On Macs, all accounts perform flawlessly.
But, previously, I had a problem with password since many weeks being not recognized by iCloud even from Macs.
    Passwords ARE correct.
I tried everything (close iCloud, suppressing/recreating account, reinitializing password, reinitializing iPhone,
    reinstalling iOS, etc.).
I saw many threads related, since a year or so, and no apparent solution.
Apple is not often annoying, but here they really need to clean their act with this.

If you've restored the iPhone to factory settings without a backup, re-added the iCloud account on the device and still have those issues, I'd recommend you call AppleCare

  • HT204053 I have an iTunes (Apple) id but the iCloud keeps asking me to sign in...

I have an iTunes (Apple) id that works fine but the iCloud keeps asking me to sign in and then says that the password is incorrect when I know it isn't. Have tried a password reset that works for everything else (App Store, iTunes etc) but iCloud still won't accept it. Any ideas?

You would have to access http://appleid.apple.com to find the email address but as you've reset the password you can't get into that. You will have to contact Support: the iTunes Store is probably the best place to start. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column.

    Hi Gavin229,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you have changed your AppleID information or password, you will need to sign out of your existing iCloud or iTunes Store accounts and sign back in with the new information.

Though it's unlikely to be wrong if things were set up properly in the first place, as a check go to Mail Preferences>Accounts and check that the server setting for IMAP (incoming) is imap.mail.me.com (not just mail.me.com).
Your next step either way would be to go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign out, then sign back in again. (You can ignore warnings about data disappearing - your calendars etc. will disappear when you sign out but reappear when you sign back in).

  • Im asking icloud? how to change it if my iphone is now resset but appear in my iphone is icloud linked but my password i forget? what can i do???

im asking icloud? how to change it if my iphone is now reset but appear in my iphone is icloud linked but my password i forget? what can i do???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
