On my iPhone, my messages are not deleting, and freezing my phone

I've been trying to delete some of my conversations from my iphone 5, but every time that I do and close the messages app, the entire list goes blank and freezes my phone. Also, whenever I tried to send a new message the message wouldn't send. Then I restarted my phone, and opened the message app again, and all of the messages that I tried to delete showed up again. I've been trying to do this for about a month now, with no luck. I updated to the iOS 8.1.2 software update, but it still does this every time.
Is there any way to fix this? I've tried deleting the messages and then syncing my iPhone, but it still doesn't work. I'd rather not do a reset and lose all of my messages. Thanks!

Have a look at this solution: There are apparently more users suffering from phantom photos that cannot be deleted: Changing the date makes the photos in "Recently deleted" visible again:

I managed to get rid of the phantom usage. Restoring iPhone and resetting the phone settings/data do not work for me.
I had to move the Date on my phone earlier by 1,2,3 months and found the phantom photos in the Recently Deleted Folder. Next, I deleted the photos manually from the Recently Deleted Folder and the usage got freed up from my iPhone.

ALV messages are not deleted

Hello all,
Once again I have a problem with my ALV and the management of error messages.
When I report a message in my ALV "check_data" method, I use the following code :
      lo_message_manager->report_attribute_error_message( message_text   = l_msgtext
                                                          element        = lr_element_alv
                                                          is_permanent   = abap_true
                                                          attribute_name = ls_tbc-att_name ).
And at the beginning of my process I always clear the existing messages using :
lo_message_manager->clear_messages( INCLUDING_PERMANENT_MSG = abap_true ).
However, when I make two inputs, the messages from the first input are not deleted.
Is it a bug ? Am I missing a step ?
Impossible to find any thread in this forum or any OSS Note about that type of error.

I guess my post is not interesting anyone...
I would like to add one more thing:
When I have error messages on my first input, and if there are other error messages on the same cell at the second input, all error messages of the first input are deleted except the messages regarding the modified cell, that's why I end up with two error messages for the same cell.

N9 IMAP4 messages are not deleted on the server

Emails deleted on N9 are not deleted (nor marked for deletion) in IMAP4 account on the server? I can see "unprocessed" emails in modest/evolution/thunderbird/webmail (after resync) which I have already deleted on the N9. I have deleted the account, set it up again on the N9, these deleted messages are there back (just like all other email clients and webmail show them). Need this feature working, otherwise email on N9 is useless. Paul

Hey Hey, I fixed my N9 IMAP mail!!!
First off, when I sent mail, I noticed it wasn't going to my primary Sent folder, but a legacy folder on my IMAP server called "Sent Messages".
Even after deleting this folder from the server, mail still was not captured to the correct "Sent" folder and I still got the connection error messages on every Sync.
So I cleaned house on my IMAP server and deleted all kinds of old folders like:
.INBOX/Sent
.INBOX/Trash
BadTrash
OldTrash
OldSent
Sent Messages
Then I removed and re-added the IMAP account on my N9, and BANG it works!
No more connection error messages, sent mail goes to the correct place, and deleted messages are deleted from the server.
Obviously, the problem as previously stated in this thread is when the N9 client initially connects to an IMAP account. It seems to latch onto the first Trash and Sent messages it finds, even if you don't use those folder.
In my case, it latched onto "Sent Message" for sent, and some invalid file for Trash (hence the connection error messages).
Much better now, but I can't help to wonder what kind of IMAP logic is lacking on the N9 that Modest had on the N900 to have these kinds of problems....

Messages are NOT deleted from tables XI_AF_MSG and XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT

I set the retention period to 7 days (1 week)
I also set the default ARCHIVE and DELETE jobs and ALL are working fine.
However, messages with OLD dates are NOT deleted from the tables XI_AF_MSG and XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT.
These tables 32GB in the DBD table space.
I tried to use the URL:
http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/archiving/reorgdb.jsp
BUT to NO avail.
How do I DELETE or ARCHIVE these messages ?

1. When using the URL:

    I did NOT get any ERROR messages.
    Thousands of messages where DELETED successfully.
    However, the number of rows in XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT did NOT reduce.
2. I used the default archiving and deletion customizations and jobs.
   However, I ran them manually a few times a day with NO change in the
   number of rows in XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT
   What do you mean by "customized any Archiving for adapter Engine" ?
. In RWB, I do see the default job is running
Have you customized any Archiving for adapter Engine or You are using default arciving which runs every 24 hrs.
3. I did ser the retention period for the adapter engine messages in visual admin in seconds...

          a servlet that posts a message to persistent JMS queue, which will be eventually
          consumed by an MDB. Even though consumption is successful, the message is not
          deleted from JMS store.
          The message will be redelivered after server restart and is still not deleted
          from JMS store. I verified this using file store and JDBC store. The messages
          actually stay in the JMSSTORE table till doom's day.
          I couldn't reproduce the case with WLS 6.1 sp 3. Exactly the application code
          was used in all cases.
          Subsequently I ran the same case with various ServerDebug DebugJMSXXX-flags set,
          and discovered that WLS 6.1 sp3 logs 'asyncDeleteL' and 'ZZZDelete' for the consumed
          message. WLS 6.1 sp4 didn't log this information.
          I'm running WLS 6.1 on WinNT and Win2000.

I've am having exactly this problem with wl 5.1....
          I first saw it with 5.1 sp8....
          In the release notes for 5.1 sp10, the following CR was fixed, which seemed
          like it might have been my problem:
          CR 45915
          Fixed a JMS problem with messages begin left in the queue after received messages had been acknowledged. When a high volume of
          messages was sent to a queue and a consumer retrieved those messages and sent them to another queue, the messages were not being
          removed from the first queue even though they were acknowledged.
          We upgraded to 5.1 sp12, and it appeared that the incidence of that problem was reduced.
          However it still occurs once or twice a week, with 5.1 sp12....
          My situation is a little bit different, in that my consumer retieves a message, and sends another
          message to the SAME queue instead of another queue as described in the CR above...
          It does happen under heavy load, etc....
          Don't know if this has been reported and identified for wl 5.1 sp12 or not...
          It is of course a really difficult to deal with bug....

Messages are not deleted from the DB

Hi, in the OCS Database, as i understand, all the messages that are deleted goes to a collection folder (id=4). The Problem is that none was deleted so far from it! All the old messages are still archived on the DB and i want to erase them all, how????

this information on database platform in use is essential!
In that db2 version, there is no native "truncate table" statement (this statement is executed at the very end of a table switch), and the DBSL implemented the abap truncate statment using the following DB2 native commands:
"IMPORT FROM /dev/null of DEL REPLACE INTO <table name>"
In SAP enviornment, the default behavior of the above command does not release the physical storage associated with an object because of the following database registry setting:
<i> DB2_TRUNCATE_REUSESTORAGE=IMPORT [DB2_WORKLOAD]
Hence, an offlince table reorg is necessary after the truncate.
For a detailed description of this registry variable DB2_TRUNCATE_REUSESTORAGE, please refer to the following IBM online doc:

Problem : My messages are not deleted

Hello everyone, (sorry for my english)
I have an iPhone iOS 7.0.4 and 5C, and I have a problem about messages.
When I delete a conversation (either with Messages or iMessage) it's impossible for me to send messages to anyone else, I absolutely have to turn off my iPhone, then, when I turn back on the messages, it is obviously not sent, and the conversation expected to be deleted reappear.
I tried to delete the messages and wait a whole night, when I restart the iPhone, conversations reappeared.
I wonder if this problem also happens for you.
Ps: When I delete only one message from the conversation, it's the same problem, I can not send sms then.

Switched to Android but iPhone text messages are not received

PLEASE HELP! I sold my 3GS on 3 network and switched to a Galaxy S3 on Orange. I have ported my number across. Before I sold my iphone I did a factory restore. My problem is that when iphone users send me a text message, I do not receive it. Their phones still think I am on iMessage. I need to know how to disable my iMessage account even though I have no access to an iphone. I have removed the device from my apple support profile and also from icloud.com. I have absolutely no idea how to solve this and I'm pretty disappointed with Apple that by doing a factory reset, didn't remove my number from the imessage account. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

New Iphone 6 messages are not being read

I just bought the new iPhone 6 (64gb) about 3 days ago. The problem I am facing is that every time I get a message on my phone (be it text or iMessage), I open it, reply to it, and then quit the application but the blue badge icon (implying that I have an unread message) is still on. I went to the Apple store yesterday and changed my phone but the new one still has the same problem. I have to read the messages twice for the blue badge icon to disappear. I tried restarting the phone, resetting it, turning the badge icon on and off, basically everything I read on different forums. Nothing worked. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this or is this a common bug with iOS 8?

Mark, my issue was a result of too much fatigue and too few brains. I had merely forgotten to turn on pairing on my bluetooth device. Once I realized my idiotic mistake, it worked immediately. Don’t know what the problem on your side could be. I believe the newest bluetooth technology (iPhone 6) is backward compatible with the oldest bluetooth technology (headphones) so it should work. Messages are NOT threading and more

HELP!!!
Thunderbird 31 Windows 8.1 which I migrated from XP
a) I finally managed to migrate my TB profile to new computer. All messages and folders arrived. I erased about 3000 old messages. leaving about 1500.. Suddenly they all disappeared except for that days newest messages. Have been living with that, until I figure it out.
b) Also, messages have not been threading. I downloaded Conversation add on. All the old messages came back ( all 4500, i.e. including the ones that I erased)
Problems:
1/ The conversation add on changed the column titles, so I could not resort emails- for example by sender- in order to erase irrelevant emails again. With 4500 emails, going through 1 at a time is a problem. I preferred the simple threading that came in TB
2/ So, I uninstalled the add on, it reverted back, and all the old emails disappeared again.
What would make me really happy ;~)
1. To have simple threaded messages like I had in my old computer a mere 2 weeks ago
2. To have all my emails ( after thinning) back or at the least least I would be OK with even all the emails but with the simple headings so that I could at least redo the deleting.
I will honestly be forever and beyond grateful if someone could solve this

first, make sure your menu is turned on. Right click the toolbar and make sure there is a tick beside the menubar on the menu.
View menu > Folders > all
View menu > Sort by > Threaded
File menu > Compact folders.

I keep getting a server error and my emails are not deleting and showing up multiple times

I am getting emails multiple times and they aren't deleting. They keep coming back. I then get a server errer that mail.me may be a false server pretending to be mail.me. Don't know how to fix this.

My outbound messages are not processing in XI

Hi All,
When i try to test my scenario i.e sending message from SRM to MDM , all my messages are struck in the Queue in XI. Even i deleted queues in SMQ2 , my messages are not processing and in sceduled for outbound processing stage. Even i restard also its on pending status. Please help me How to process my messages which is pending in XI.

go to sxmb_moni->monitor processed messages
select ur message.. scroll towards right..
click on ur message queue ID.
check if there is any errored out message in that queue.
if yes .. delete that message,
and release the queue by unlocking that.

yesterday i open my laptop(model 6530s) and clean motherboard but after setup when i start laptop that time on top right corner showing one message MOUSE NOT DELETED and mouse pad not working any more ..Now what can i doi tryed to open motherboard battery but still same ...so pleas give me some idea what can i do now

Read and deleted messages are not being updated on my iphone 4s

I have a new user who is having a synchronization issue with his iPhone. When he reads emails on his desktop, the messages on his iPhone 4s show as being unread. Also, when he delets messages on his desktop email, messages are not being deleted on his iPhone. I have never seen this issue before and do not know what to do. Please help. Thank you!

The end user just started with the company a week ago and he is using Outlook 2010. We never had this issue in the past. Active sync has been enabled on user’s account and he was able to configure the firm's Exchange email profile on his iPhone. Although he is able to receive messages on his mobile device, it does not sync with his desktop email. I asked him to delete the profile on the device and create it again, but he wants to do that as a last option.

After downloading IOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5, my email messages are not automatically coming through. I have to open my mailbox and wait for messages to download. Do I need to reset or change settings for mail? Please help.

Hi Chris. Thanks, for the suggestions re: my email issues. They were helpful and yes I did check all items you referenced. I even contacted Apple support and spent about 40 minutes on phone checking all settings. However, after all these efforts, my mail and calendar issues were not resolved. Apple Support finally recommended deleting the mail account and then reloading it - and it worked! I am now receiving my emails and calendar appts. in real time again.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone elest has a similar problem with mail/calendar after downloaing i.O.S. 8.1 onto iPhone 5.
