On my Ipod touch 4G screen cracked

I don't know what happened!
Tonight I put the iPod to charge, and when I woke up it cracked the glass.
But IPod gets very hot when I charge it....maybe it was something to do? Or is it a normally?
Can i repaired it under my guarantee? Or is it hopeless? =((((
P.s. Sorry for my bad english.

Yesterday I called the number of service centers, almost everywhere I've been told that this is not a warranty repair and only one, that it is possible to do it under warranty. I went there and they told me said that may happen. And they'll get me new IPOD, but I don't know when.....maybe some weeks
Refer to several service centers, try to find one where this problem will solve.

My Ipod Touch 4G screen has cracked. I got it as a Christmas gift in 2010. Will Apple replace the screen? And how much will it cost?

There might some cases, in which Apple did that, but the fact remains:

I just got an iPod touch 5th generation back in November and while I was out in my garage trying to find something on a shelf while standing on a stool, I dropped my iPod touch the screen cracked a bit- anyone know repair prices from Apple?

So I dropped it... And the screen cracked a bit. It's fairly new (got it in November) but I noticed Apple doesn't cover accidents like mine. Anyone know the prices for getting a replacement/ repair? It's not that bad of a crack, but it's annoying and new so..Yah. Any help with prices for a replacement/warranty would be helpful and on how I should do it. Maybe I can get a replacement for cheap or free cuz I got it recently and I've never complained to Apple before? I know it's my mistake but I'd be thankful if you guys could help! Thanks!

Sorry, but the warranty does not cover accidental damage no matter how recently you got your iPod. As to servicing, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". It is also possible to purchase parts and find instructions on doing a repair yourself, though it's not particularly easy. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform a repair yourself, all further support from Apple will be void.

So i bought a replacement. But i thought i had everything. I only had the screen and digitizer. So i bought the lcd part. I am wondering does it click together or do you need adhesive.

Like any warranty it does not cover damage. You would have to pay like everyone else.

Apple will only give you a 10% discount if you turn that one in and purchase the new one.
I do not know if the WalMart warranty covers accidental damage like a broken screen.

The warranty does not cover accedental damage like a broken screen. However, some time the Genius at the Genius Bar of an Apple store will replace the iPod at not cost. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and ask. If not under warranty, Apple will exchange yours for:

I've tried restoring it, backing it up, resetting the settings, and the placing it on a table and thumping the back....i dont have a warranty any more so i cant just take it back and get a new one. is there any ideas that will actually work or is there any way i can buy a warranty for my ipod touch?
