On my M30 Windows XP Home can't update to SP2

Hi
A few days back I just did a recovery from the toshiba recovery CD.
Now I am trying to update the computer to service pack2.
But everytime I update, the updater could install my sercurity updates.
Why is it so. I bought this computer on Nov of 2004

Are you trying to install SP2 from its own CD or are you downloading it from the Microsoft Windows Update web site ?
If you are using the CD then you will need to make sure that you have any pre-requisite maintenance applied first before you can install SP2.
It may be better to use Windows Update to install the maintenance since this will check what fix level your notebook is at and then ship the required updates in the correct order.

Windows 7 hamachi can't update

So i was recentlyt pass to Windows 10, but with Hamachi who doesn't work i retrograded to windows 7. But the update of this day who fix windows 10 problem won't update. i'm trying, but the update won't installing, there are blocked. I can't upgrade, this was about 4 hours who hamachi try to update now, but it won't.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Windows XP Home can't find HP printer connected via Ethernet

I posted this on the Bonjour forum, but this might be a better place for it. So:
We just got an HP Photosmart D7260, which I've connected to our network via Ethernet.
My MacBook and Kittendaddy's eMac found it with no problem, but when I boot into XP Home, the Printer Wizard can't find it, and Bonjour sees it but can't find the correct driver (even though I've installed it). When I click on "Have disk", it takes me to the disk contents but I can't seem to find the file it wants.
Any ideas?
God, why is everything so complicated when it comes to Windows? It drives me crazy, I tell you.

Windows 7 Machine - Can't update itunes. Can't uninstall it either. What can I do to correct this?

I am running Windows 7 and I am unable to update my itunes from 10.6.0.40 (as per Itunes section 'about') to the latest version 10.6.3.
It says the feature i am trying to use in on a network resource that is not available. 'itunes.msi' can't be found.
'AppData\Local\Apple\Apple SoftwareUpdate\iTunes.msi' Its asking me to verify that I have access to this.
I tried to uninstall itunes as per control panel but I am not able to do that either as its asks to verify that I have access to 'itunes.msi'
Please if anyone knows how to fix this I will be most greatful.

G780 - Windows 8.1 can't update because of System_DRV

Hi !
I want to update my lenovo G780 from 8 to 8.1. After many many tries, I found out that the problem was the System_DRV partition. It's marked as the active partition and windows says that it's too small (200Mo) to install 8.1 on it so I read that I have to mark the C: partition as active.
Can I do that without having boot problems or whatever I don't know ?

This issue might have occurred as the image of Windows 8 will be in the Hidden partition in the other drive, I suggest you to backup the Windows 8 OS (Operating System) in a USB Flash drive before upgrading to Windows 8.1. I do not yet own an IPod Nano, but I am planning on buying one. The question that I need to know is about the wording of the requirements for Windows XP. It says XP Home or Pro with Service Pack 2, but I don't know whether that means it requires Windows XP Home (without SP2) or Windows XP Pro with SP2; or if it requires Windows XP Home or Pro, both needing SP2 installed. I have XP Home with no Service Pack installed, and do not want to install it due to a conflict it has with another program that I use on my computer. If anyone could help me with this, thank you very much. Also, if you have Windows XP Home, please post if your IPod Nano is working and if you have SP2 or not. Thank you.

Don't worry, you can install iTunes on Windows 7. Just make sure the recipient knows to download the correct version of the installer.

I can't update my itunes.. in the middle of installation of the new itunes, it says there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program required for this install to complete could not be run.

Assuming that you have a desktop icon for Acrobat 6, right-click on it, Properties, tab Compatibility, then check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)'.

I just tried running the Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test both in normal mode and in safe mode. Both times it indicated a failed read test on the HDD. The last two tests also failed. I forget what those tests were called.
I am really beginning to think I have a bad HDD and the problem just happens to be in the reserved partition where my factory system software resides.

I also have an iphone 5 and everything seems to work fine with it.
I see all movies and music available to be sync but when I click on the sync button, the process starts, the bottom bar shows an increase in consumed space then nothing happens and the bar goes back as nothing was added.

I'd like to ask you something:
I'm trying to synchronize all my iPod's (I have as many as 4 iPods: 2 iPod touch a 8 GB each and 2 iPod classic a 160 GB each) with my iTunes software (Version 11.3.1 which is installed on a Windows PC (Windows Vista Home Premium)). Unfortunately, the iTunes software refuses to run the command "synchronize with the iPod connected" regarding each and every iPod I have. iTunes just declares:
Synchronizing is impossible because I wouldn't hold the access authorization / rights for this operation.
I uploaded the songs at issue to my iTunes folder from CD's (all songs are in AAC format now).
What is this access authorization, why was something like that invented and what can I do to get it?
How do I have to proceed in detail?
What would it cost?
I am brand new here and have never ever made a post in any support community anywhere in the world in my life. Well, and I am not excessively knowledgeable about the particular computer or mac language but I know the very basics or can find out about them.
Anyways - can you help me please?

Yes, others have experienced the problem, a simple search of the forums would have revealed that and the simple solution.
Termporarily disable any security software on the computer.

TS1538 I have an iPod Touch IOS 4.2.1 that Windows 7 home premium can't see. Says there's a driver problem. My other one with IOS 5.1.1 works on the same cable and computer. I don't know where to go.

I have an iPod Touch with 4.2.1 that won't connect to my Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. It gives a "USB Device Not Recognized" error when I plug it in to a USB port. My wife's (newer) iPod Touch with IOS 5.1.1 works just fine with no errors. I'm using the same port - I just moved the cable from one iPod to the other. I've tried the various different drivers using Update Drivers. I let it search the internet and it says "The best driver software is already installed", but the device shows as "Unknown Device". I did the browse my computer, unchecked the "Show compatible hardware", and selected Apple, Inc.. There were two Apple iPod USB Drivers. One was 6.0.9999.53 and the other was 6.0.9999.61. Neither of these works. I'm thinking that the maybe I need to upgrade the iPod touch software version - but I don't know how to get to it. Can this be loaded over WiFi? Any other ideas?

Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1
