Why? How to correct?
As I hinted.. dropouts of wireless are not unusual at all on the AC model.. and AFAIK there is not much in the way of a fix.
The ipad might be using 2.4ghz which will work better than 5ghz.
Do a full factory reset of the TC.
Give it all short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Including a different name for the 5ghz band. I want to try and force bands to see if it is only 5ghz giving trouble.
Then set channels for the 2.4ghz.. try in turn, 11, 6, 1 in that order.
Setting bands for 5ghz does nothing apparently..
Join the MBP to the 2.4ghz and see if it suffers the same problems.. if so that is not it..
Then I think you might need to check the MBP as it might have issues.. did you upgrade install Mavericks? Did the issue exist before mavericks if you did upgrade?

I have Os Lion on my mac book pro, im not a fan of this because i cant run many games, i have the disk for snow leopard my machine came with but i get a error saying "unable to unmount disc" when i try erase my hard drive i just want OS SL back any help?
many thanks Carl.You must boot from another drive in order to erase the system drive.
Try starting up with Snow Leopard DVD inserted and C depress. That should get you booted from the DVD. Then start Disk Utitlity from DVD and erase the disk then you should be able to install Snow Leopard.
Remember that everything will be removed from the disk when you erase it and install Snow Leopard so backup first.

I have accidently shut down my Mac Book Pro during windows 7 installation . When I re started it it began to say " Press any key to boot from CD or DVD " but the keyboard is not working . So I cannot boot It and the CD is also in the drive . Please help me to boot back to Mac book Pro and give me a way to start the key bord .

Insert the Windows installation disc into the optical drive or insert the USB flash drive with Windows into a USB port on your Mac. Select the Windows installation disk icon, then click the arrow beneath it. Quickly press any key on your keyboard to start the installer. Follow the onscreen instructions to repair or reinstall Windows.

When my Mac Book Pro is asleep and I lift the cover the screen goes dark and I have to press the F2 key to get it back. What do I need to do to prevent this?

Choose the method for:

Mac book pro (late 2013) has a lag when sculpting and rotating models in Zbrush, but only when using my Wacom-capture tablet (if I use a mouse or trackpad its fine no lag).
Also Premiere Pro CS5 playback is almost like watching footage in slow motion, Premiere Pro is installed on the main drive but the footage is on an external drive connected with USB 2.
I'm wondering if it is just a problem with the Mac USB drivers maybe not supporting USB 2 ? (Because I have also installed Window 7 on this same MacBookPro and tested the same software "Zbrush and Premiere Pro" And they both work perfectly on the Bootcamp Windows 7 install, and so its using the same hardware so it has to be the drivers right ?)

That is a really great question! It took some digging to find the answer!
On an older Mac, about 2010 or older, you need access to one of:
• The Mac App Store ( such as on a Mac with a working 10.6.8 or better)
• working Recovery HD
• a bootable 10.7 Installer, on thumb drive, Hard drive, or DVD
So for ONE 2010 or older Mac with a bad drive, you would have to buy the US$70 Apple thumb drive, or have previously made a DVD or Hard Drive when you previously downloaded 10.7. Or you re-install 10.6.8 then overwrite it with the downloaded 10.7.
• another Mac with 10.7 installed so you could transfer Recovery HD to the down Mac with "Lion Recovery Disk Assistant"

On some 2010 and most 2011 models, if Recovery HD is messed up or not Installed, but you have a working Broadband connection [with DHCP enabled], the Firmware has been upgraded so it will boot from the Internet and do the whole job using "Lion Internet Recovery" as described in the second section of this glossy article:

I need to do live streaming with a Mac Book Pro 2011, using a new model of Sony HD camcorder (http://store.sony.co...ber=HDRAX2000/H) ..this camcorder model does not have firewire out/input ..it comes only with a component video output, USB, HDMI and composite A/V video output..
I wonder how can I plug this camcorder to the firewire port of my laptop? ThanxI can't broadcast with the built in iSight webcam... how would I zoom in or zoom out? or how would I pan? I've seem people doing it walking with their laptops but that's not an option for me... there's nothing wrong with my USB ports but that's neither an option to stream video because as far as I know through USB you can't connect video in apple operating systems ..you can for sure plug any video cam or photo camera through usb but as a drive to transfer data not as a live video camera... is by firewire an old interface developed by apple that you can connect all sorts of cameras to apple computers... unfortunately my new sony HDR-AX2000 camcorder doesn't have firewire output...

I have a Mac book pro ( 7,1 version ) bought in the US and want to see some videos, pictures and movies on a Sony TV with HDMI connection (in Europe).
When connecting both the pc and the tv, I get on the tv the opening screen of a mac book pro but although a movie is playing on the pc it does not show on the tv. Do I have to change something in the displays on the system preference screen ?
Thanks for helping out.By 'opening screen' do you mean the spiral galaxy desktop? If so, then, with the TV connected to the MBP, open System Preferences ➜ Displays ➜ Arrangement. You will see an image of two screens. At the top of the smaller of the two screens in the image is a small bar, this represents the menu bar at the top of your display. Drag this small bar to the top of the larger of the two screens in the image. The menu bar and dock will now appear on the TV which is now the primary display and all the action will take place there.

When booting up on my Mac Book Pro side it gets stuck on a gray screen and wont boot even when in safe mode. I have cleared the P/Ram and still have acces to the partioned windows side on the same computer. How should I procede to get my Mac OS running again.
