On my recently installed Firefox, I can't access information on one website (using password and user name), but I can on my old IE

To avoid some of the issues related to Microsoft's stopping support for Windows XP, I recently installed Firefox, which has been working well. I kept Internet Explorer on my computer, though. I am a patient at a facility that has an online chart where one can go to get messages, test results, etc. When I am on Firefox and try to access this chart by entering my user name and password, I am denied access and keep getting a message that my session has timed out. When I try the same thing with Internet Explorer, which I would prefer not to use, I do get access. It seems to me that I have to add Firefox to my computer's system somehow (and maybe delete IE) in order for this to work. Can someone tell me how to do this, please?

Usually sites recognize that your session is still alive using cookies. Can you think of any changes you might have made to Firefox's cookie settings to increase your privacy or reduce tracking? Or any add-ons along those lines?
As a test, try logging in to the site (1) in Firefox's Safe Mode (2) in a Private Browsing window. This will help bypass restrictive cookie settings, as well as other filtering behaviors of extensions, to see whether those are a factor.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
''Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run''
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Then open a private browsing window using either:
* Ctrl+Shift+p
* "3-bar" menu button > New Private Window
* File menu > New Private Window
In that window, try logging in. Any difference?

Remove a saved password here: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
You may also need to remove the cookies from that website.<br />

How can I hide the password and user name in url???

Hi experts,
I'm creating a login page and know I have a problem.
The Username and password are verified in a Java class, after checking the user and password, the user should be linked to the portal.
So far everything has worked well.
But when I call the lin like this
res.sendRedirect ("/ irj / portal j_user =" + UserN + "& j_password =" + passw);
then the user name and Pwasswort appears in the url.
Can someone tell me how can I hide the password and user name???

If there is no specific reason that you have to use sendredirect...thne you can try request.forward.....

Hi, I have this exact same problem. I haven't been using an iRig, just a cheap USB-jack cable. I managed to do this with the first cable I bought, but since it broke I've been unable to find a replacement that allows me to hear the drums while recording. DId you manage to get over this issue? Have you tried logging out of your account on your iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in to see if that 'refreshes' the account on it and if it then works ?

New Ipod Touch 5g can't access Internet in home network (using Linksys E4200 router). But, OK with other Wifi.

Just bought new Ipod Touch 5g. I found out it can't access Internet in home network. not really cannot access, but very slow to open any web page, App Store failed to access, etc. But, OK with other Wifi (office & starbucks). Someone busted my driver side window and went straight to my trunk and they took my Nikon camera and my Macbook Pro 15" along with my other belongings for photography. I called 911 when I got the email from findmyiphone app but they took 6 hours to see me. I live in Vallejo CA. I have been checking my app and they opened my laptop again so I was able to track it again. It was still on the same house that I saw. I match the map from findmyiphone to google earth and got the address. But 911 still can't me out. They even told me that they will not keep following a stolen laptop. I was happy about this app but I can only see the theive using it. I WISH SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. I just got back from the police station and I talked to a cop who was in the parking lot. He just told me that "we can go there and knock and ask but when they said no we can just back out".
I don't know what else to do. I already locked the device using the same app. The fact that I know where it is hurts a lot and I feel helpless at the same time.

Same thing here, my Air was stolen back in December, it was turned on for the first time just 10 minutes ago. Only problem is they are in MA, I'm here in CA. I don't know what to do... It's already been reported as stolen with the MA State Police and there was no fixed address to link it to, I think it was a moving car. Anyhow, they turned it back off so the signal is lost now. Hi Chris,
You cannot access the methods of the Flash 8 movie from Flex.
And you can't do it the other way around either.
The only way to communicate is to create a LocalConnection on
each side.

With the old firefox it would remember my passwords and user-name. Now I have to log in to all these sites every time I go on line and reopen automatically

Why won't my firefox 4 automatically open to the sites I click on. With the new firefox 4 I have to reenter both username and password the first time I log on everyday.

If your Firefox is set up to clear cookies on exit it will forget your login information therefor you will have to login again. But if you make you privacy settings look like this in the picture it will work again.

OK, hubby figured this out for me. Apple support were nice people but could not get the answer. Network Solutions online info was incorrect or incomplete. I do not remember exactly. However, the email that Network sent was EXACT. No info as to password reset but they gave the correct port numbers and .....Connection!
