On/off ringtone and vibrate repeatedly turn themselves back on

Hello,
I've had this issue since I bought the tablet, which is otherwise fantastic: In the sound settings I've turned OFF the "tablet on/off ringtone" and the "vibrate on touch" settings (checkmark removed). The problem is, these settings turn themselves on again, seemingly radomly. I then have to manually removed the checkmarks again.
The ringtone is especially annoying as it bothers my wife and wakes the baby when turning the device on, thinking it will be silent.
I haven't found any mention of this except for this post.
Note: I sent back the first tablet due to this problem. The replacement does it exactly the same, however.

Note: on the first one I performed two system updates to the next builds, but this didn't change anything.
Is this issue known and is it being addressed?

Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

That is referred to recovery mode. At this point your only option is to restore to factory & then from a backup if you have one

Plug it in to wall power. If it doesn't automatically come on within 15 minutes, try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. You might need to hold the buttons for as long as a minute.
If it still doesn't turn on, you likely have a hardware problem.

Try to Update your iPad to iOS 6.1.4 when connected to iTunes via USB too.. You do not need to touch anything on your iPad to update your iPad either..

Hey, in case you haven't been able to find a solution to your original problem with airport turning off, i seem to have found the solution for my MacBook Pro. I called Apple Care and they had me to shut down my computer. Then, while holding down the four keys: command, option, R and P, push the power button to turn on the computer. Do not let up on the four keys until the start up chime has sounded twice. Then let up on the four keys and the OS will boot up as usual. They said what that does is reset your "sleep" parameters on your computer. This seemed to have solved my problem.

I am at Snow Leopard and have only played a bit in IMOVIE - so can't speak for Mavericks - but -
In general as I work a lot in Photoshop - when you are happy with something save it and continue on - If you have Time Machine Running and you want to try things next that may or may not work - force a time machine backup - that way the version you are happy with will be available for 24 hours (and wish this was a setting one could extend)
If you turn off your mac - or end a program without consciously saving something you may lose what you worked on.
If IMOVIE did not ask if you want to recover what you were doing your update may be gone - but try posting new question - asking about automatic backups in IMOVIE and how they work.

I suggest you immediately make a backup of your data. You don't know if or when the computer will show some symptoms from the drop. You may want to, for piece of mind, take the computer to an authorised service center for assessment. No one here can assess any internal damage you may have done.

If I leave the phone (thus not doing anything to it) for an extended period of time say 2 hrs. It will have turned off and you can't turn it back on unless you plug it in, but it's got heaps of "Battery" left.
Ever so often it will turn off randomly as well, and can't turn it on again.

If your iPhone is powering off, this is not normal.
Try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If no change after doing so, your iPhone has a hardware problem. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.
