On one of my "older" laptops, I'm runninig OS 10.4.11 and I can't find a version of iTunes that will run. Where can I locate the correct version?
Apple has a couple of published but still somewhat hidden links to various versions that represent the last version that runs on particular platforms. The Roger Wilmut1's link to 9.1.1 is one of them, for Tiger OS.
However, there are many, many versions still available on servers (at least the last time I tried) but the URLs are not easy to find (I have a list of about 20 versions). They are still on the official Apple server, just no links pointing to them from Apple's pages.
Even though I have Tiger OS I still use iTunes 7.5 Most of the bells and whistles in the newer versions seemed to be for marketing the iTunes Store (which has nothing I want and I prefer the CD at the same price) and garnering data about your music tastes (Genius) but the Store won't work with iTunes 9 anyway. If you're interested in a particular version let me know, otherwise 9.1.1 is the latest for Tiger.

To more easily find compatible apps:

Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -

Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything on your new computer, then sync the iphone to that comptuer.

unfortunately system requirements, (in general), are usually the MINIMUM required to run the program. the more complex your intended use of the software is, the more you need to consider beefing up the 'system requiremets'.

We own 5 Apple devices but for some reason I cannot get iTunes to recognize one of the iPads. The other 4 show up just fine and we can sync and do all the stuff we are supposed to do, but this one device is never recognized. I've tried updating the software, reinstalling iTunes, using different ports on the laptop, different cables...just about everything. I have NEVER been able to connect this one device, but all the others are fine. I'm at my wits end. Is there someone out there who can help a relative novice figure out what's going on? I have an Ipod Touch 2 and rebuilt my laptop. Reinstalled ITUNES and can't find my applications on ITunes after login. I tried to activate Itunes again but it didn't. How can I get my applications to display on ITUNEs?
It sounds like you essentially have a new computer and unless you restored from a backup your iTunes library would be empty. You can transfer your iTunes purchases from your iPod to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
SInce you changed syncing computers. after you move the stuff you need to restore the iPod to factory defaults and sync the stuff back to your iPod. If you had the iPod backup file you could restore from backup.

Can I go back to an older version of iTunes that'll support both my iPhone 4S w/iOS6 and my 2009 MacBook running Leapord 10.5.8? I simply want everything to work the way it had been forever until recently. However, I can't imagine Apple would intentionally make their own products obsolete by rendering them useless through a software "upgrade." My MacBook is only 3 yrs old so I feel like I am simply missing 1 piece to this puzzle in order for things to start working again. I have my MacBook, iPod and iPhone 4S all set up to install updates automatically so if I need to uninstall certain updates and revert back to ones that work will that even be an option? Thanks

How do I transfer my bookmarks from one computer to another? I have Firefox Home on my phone and I can get them there, but I want to have the same bookmarks on my home computer as I do on my work computer. If I have a user name then where do I sign into Firefox, it should be that easy but I can't seem to figure it out.
