step3, hold the cover then tap delete
so easy!

Deleted the iphoto app to clear out photos (yes, really). Now cannot download it again. Other deleted apps download exactly as the manual says but not iphoto. Can anyone suggest how to fix please? Also, cannot delete test photos from"photos" app, brought in from Dropbox. Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

You should be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad - if it's not showing there (you haven't changed countries since buying the app ?) then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
For the photos, if they are in the Camera Roll album in the Photos app then you can either delete them via the trashcan icon in the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the Select button top right in thumbnail view.

I recently restored my iPad after having some problems and did not restore from back up as when I did, I still had problems. I restored and created a new iPad and all is fine... However, I did lose all my info like things I had bought within the apps and game saves etc but I can live with that. What I cant live with is the fact that I lost all my TIME magazines. Anyone know how I can restore them? Where you go to the App there is no option... Other apps have automatically downloaded content I already bought.. surely TIME would do the same?

Actually I just tried to buy one again and after going through the purchase process and putting in password to confirm, it then tells you you have already bought it and can download it for free! Just as well... But you do have to do as if you were buying it again.

What I was trying to do though was to mass delete the voice memos from the phone, and I was told that one can do that via iTunes. Problem is that when I do open iTunes, I am not able to locate a TAB thats says ON THIS IPHONE
I was told that one could click on this and then select multiple Voice Memos and delete this way.

is it a movie you have shot yourself or is it one you have downloaded?
if it's a download then you need to uninstall via iTunes, just uncheck the movie and then sync,
if it is one you have shot yourself then :
Tap select top right: tap the video you want to delete: tap the bin.

i realised i have this 200mb of messages this morning & tried deleting my messages but it started to hang half way and my phone gets very hot. thn i do pressed my lock & home button to reset the phone, thn it cool atfer awhile but i got all my messges back lol..
thn i found out, after deleting all the unwanted messages, sync to itunes, thn all the messages is gone for good. hope it helps?

I feel stupid asking this question but how do you delete a song from a playlist? right clicking doesn't give a menu option to do it, and neither does the file menu. The highlight/delete option doesn't work either.
Also, I've ended up with several copies of the same songs in my library . Can i delete the excess tracks in one go without highlighting them?

Option-delete will remove a selected track from a playlist AND the library. Delete will just remove the track from a regular playlist.
Yes, you need to highlight all the songs you want to delete. Sort your library by song title. This should put all the dups together for easy highlighting and deleting.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....
