On secure sites cannot get lock to come up in bottom toolbar
When accessing secure sites such as banks etc the lock symbol does not show up as it did with Explorer
The lock symbol has been removed in Firefox 4 and replaced with the [[Site Identity Button]]

I have downloaded iCloud to my new PC and am using Windows 7 and Offie 2010. I cannot get iCloud to come up on Outlook with the choices for Calendar and Contacts, my iMail accnt is there***.me.com, but not the general Cloud choices for calendar and contacts? What am I doing wrong?

Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears. If that does not work you need to take the iPad to an Apple store genius bar to have it evaluated by the technicians.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

Our main office computer's email is working fine, but staff members who access their separate accounts by wi fi can't get Thunderbird to come up. They can, however, access their non-Thunderbird email accounts, so the wifi isn't the problem.

Similarly, "They can, however, access their non-Thunderbird email accounts" doesn't make any immediate sense to me. Can you indicate what it is they are doing that does work?
There's no such thing as a "Thunderbird email account". Most people using this phrase seem to use it to describe an email account provided by their ISP, which they access via an email client such as Thunderbird as opposed to accounts provided by independent providers such as googlemail, yahoo, outlook.com, etc. However I can't infer your intended meaning here. -
As per the original statement. I always got to see the 'padlock' secure site symbol when logging it to my account on ebay or paypal...it is no longer displayed in the new 8.0.1 version of Firefox. I want it back...not a 'nice to have', I want it back or
displayed somewhere where I can see it ,without having to ask for it. It's re-assuring to see it as it confirms it is secure.

The padlock shows that there is a secure connection but does not supply additional information. You could have made a typographical error and still have been connected to a secure connection. The padlock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site Identity Button. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button at the left end of the Location Bar:

We have the latest version of firefox. downloaded gamers unit snag bar, but we cannot get it up as a toolbar or on toolbar. It shows under add-ons under the firefox drop down but does not reflect under toolbar bookmarks. how do we resolve?

Re-installed software on eMac cannot get desktop to come up
Got help here when I couldn't get into AppleWorks. Got that solved. Was able to use AppleWorks and internet the night I re-installed the software. Came home next day after daughter was using computer and saw color wheel / beachball of doom. She wasn't home at the time, so I couldn't ask her if anything unusual happened. Shut computer down, tried steps on p 51 of eMac manual about problems that prevent you from using your computer. Usually gets things right back up. All that happens is Mac OSX block appears, blue runs across the progress bars, until the last box -- the login box or something like that. Blue progress bar goes ALMOST to the end and stops with what looks like an eighth of an inch to go. Convinced I could just whack the monitor lightly on the left side and make it go over -- just kidding. I get stuck at this same spot every time. Using my daughter's laptop at a public library right now. May have to come back here tomorrow to look for any responses that can help me solve this. I can tell you -- saw the question asked of someone else who reinstalled software and lost his iTunes -- I didn't do a backup. Hey, it was working fine after the installation. It said "software installed successfully". Didn't even lose any of my past AppleWorks documents! Expected never to see them again. Can anyone help me get my home computer working again -- wanted to try this before I shelled out $49 to Apple Support over the phone.
I shut it down, then I hold the option key when I press the power button. I click the hard disk icon and and arrow to the right of the hard disk icon. I got the same results, the Mac OS X blocks come up saying things like "checking disks", "waiting for network initialization" . . . final block I'd get is "Login windows starting". Progress bar would go ALMOST to the right and stop with a little bit of white left in the bar.
I am back up after trying the single user and verbose (pressed command and s OR v after startup to get those). Still ended up the the Mac OS X blocks doing the same thing. Tried the safe mode. I think with the safe mode it ended up alternating between a blank black screen and a blank blue screen. Then put reinstall disc one in. Already had current version of OS X, so I had to send that to a send that somewhere where it would be named "previous" folder or file. This has been a lousy week with this computer. I'm back up, but can't get into Safari. Using internet explorer where internet explorer used to be the one that worked flaky. Guess I should be grateful for any way into the internet for now. Hate this ugly courier font I see when I'm typing. Not only can't get into Safari, can't get into iTunes. My original problem was with AppleWorks. THAT seems ok. I'll just give you this for starters. I'll go back and look at my applications to the the responses I was getting there. Thanks for any help you can offer. -

When I try to bring Firefox up it does not show that it is. If I shut my computer down it will come up the first time and as long as I leave it open it is okay. When I log out it does not come back up the next time. I am not having trouble with Chrome or Explorer.

Setting up a ASA 5510 cannot get SMTP to come in
I have a ASA 5510 (ver 8.4) and I have been all over the support sites looking for what I am doing wrong. I have a sanitized cut n paste of the OBJECT, NAT, ACCESS-LIST and Packet Tracer output and it keeps failing on the NAT with a rpf-check. Once i get the SMTP flowing I have to open up HTTP and HTTPS to one of the servers also.
Any help greatly appreciated!!!
