On several of my apps my iPad 2 w/ IOS 4.3.3 said I needed to update the apps and the updates were for ios4.3.3 but now the apps don't work at all after updating.  They just flash on the screen but don't stay displayed.  What is going on?

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason.  At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident.  Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed.  Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees).  Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!!  Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

    I have a mac mini (A1283) with OS 10.7.4. Upon upgrading to 10.7.5 it did not start up again. Instead, the light was on and the hard drive did not start up. The light on the connected USB mouse was not lit.
    My solution:
    Cold start with Command-v pressed.
    This should start Verbose mode (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492 ).
    What happened on my mac mini was that the grey startup screen with the Apple logo appeared for a long while before the login screen came.
    Maybe Cmd-v set open firmware params and fixed some corruption.
    Anyway: my mac mini works again.

    My update installed fine but now my mail isn't working. It spools but nothing new loads.

    I have the same problem. Mail, iPhoto, iWeb, Calender, Reminders and Notes not open after update. Says, "check with the developer to make sure Mail works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application." Also says

  • My Adobe CC apps no longer work at all (Windows 8) - they just crash

    I successfully used Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro on my laptop (which uses Windows 8) for a full year. Creative Cloud version. While it wasn't ideal, and some day I will switch to a Mac, I was able to get the job done. Two months ago, Premiere Pro stopped working. It crashed every time I opened it. I removed it from my computer and re-downloaded it - no improvement. Photoshop then started to get REALLY slow, I did the same process (removed and redownloaded), and no improvement. Last week, it started crashing every time. So now, I'm paying $50/mo for software I cannot use. At all. I can't even crop a photo. Can someone please help me figure out why this is happening and what I can do to fix it - or even to figure out how to go about diagnosing the problem? Everything else on my laptop is working just fine as far as I can tell. No crashes unless I try to open my Adobe programs.

    Photoshop and Premiere Pro have STRONG ties to the graphics adapter and driver, and Windows Updates have a LONG history of breaking drivers
    What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
    What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
    Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
    For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
    -you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

    this morning I updated my firefox to 14.01. after that one of my extension i.e firebug just stopped working at all, I mean I couldn't even find the icon in my browser.     When i plugged my blackberry into my PC it wanted to update the bundle/version of something on curve, everything was working fine until i updated this... 
    (the bundle 6.0.2534 thing...) 
    Now when I try to set up my e-mail it shows my 3 accounts i had linked with my blackberry (a hotmail, a orange.blackberry, and a gmail) but when i type the password and click "verify" it shows "unable to continue session please log in again"
    I read online that it could be the version of email software I was running, so - i found the most current and i updated that, still; same problem.
    I've battery pulled, i've security wiped, i've done everything I can think of.
    Is there anything I can do, or is this something i'll have to ring ORANGE about?...
    i DO have a blackberry data plan also... 
    Also, it's only personal/internet emails i'm trying to set up not enterprise

    I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.
    Occam's Razor nearly always applies when troubleshooting technology issues!

  • Apple TV doesn´t work at all after updating firmware!

    The update didn't apply correctly. You need to restore via iTunes.

    Make sure you follow the steps correctly (unplug all cables, connect micro usb, then reconnect power)
    Connect directly to a computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different cable

  • Deleting files takes hours or doesn't work at all after update to OS X Mavericks

    Hi everyone,
    My problem: I updated to OS X Mavericks the day the update got available but since then, I have a difficulty deleting files.
    Wether it are pictures or music files, sometimes it will delete the file very fast and other times it will either take hours or it won't delete at all (after waiting for hours) and even then to stop the file from going to trash will take a very long time. 
    I tried doing this while "Secure Empty Trash" was on and off but it stayed the same.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    About my Mac: 15' MacBook Pro, version 10.9.1, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

    Hi all,
    I hope you can help me with this problem. I updated my N73 with the new firmware V4.0735.3.0.2. In the last 40 secs of the update I suddenly got a notification that the connection was lost (battery was full, charger plugged in and data cable connected). I tried all the possible solutions to get the phone working again, but so far....nothing!
    I've been trying to get it back to live for a few hours now, but still nothing. Charger has been charging, battery has been removed several times, etc. and it's still dead.
    Any help would be really appreciated!

    Update: tried options in this thread /discussions/board/message?board.id=swupdate&message.id=18308#M18308 doesn't help. Tried other charger, nothing there either. Seems the phone has really past away. Will contact nokia support center tomorrow, still any help/options will be appreciated!

  • TS1425 My iPod Classic was working fine all day.  Came home and uploaded to voice memos via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod.  I've used both headphones and a docking station.  The songs don't even begin, they just skip to the next one.

    Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
    Have you tried resetting the PMU?
    I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
    Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
    How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
    All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs.
