On startup, Itunes is telling me that it's 32bit
I have a 64 bit computer and when I start itunes, it says that it's 32 bit, but I used the 64 bit installer.
And also it doesn't detect my ipod when I plug it in, only windows does.
I have windows 8.1
Is it an error message that you're getting? Or are you just noticing that the iTunes app is running as 32-bit? If the latter, that's correct. The drivers are 64-bit but the iTunes app itself is still 32-bit. It would derive no benefit to being made a 64-bit app.
As to your iPod, what model of iPod is it? We'll need to know so as to provide appropriate suggestions.
Regards.

I am trying to sync my iPhoto to my iPad from my Mac but iTunes keeps telling me that my iPhoto Library can't be found. I obviously can see that I have many photos and events so I am not sure why I'm getting this message.I have all the current software and have been playing around with it for hours and can't figure out the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I updated my iphone 5 and now it is telling me to be able to work i had to connect it to itunes and itunes it telling me that i have to restore my iphone. what can i do? i dont want to lose all my pictures and stuff like that.
Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
There is nothing wrong with the update.
Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed. -

I have tried all the troubleshooting tips online but my Classic ipod doesnt work. My Itunes keeps telling me that it cannot restore the ipod because the ipod is busy. What can I do?
Have you tried rebooting for the Mac and iPod to see if that helps? To reset the iPod, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It wouldn't hurt to also try plugging the iPod into another USB port and use a different USB sync cable.

After restoring iPhone 4, iTunes is telling me that my SIM card is not supported. It is the same SIM I have always used with this phone. What action can I take to convince phone that the SIM card is OK?
Hello again, update time.
Finally got to speak to a senior technical advisor at Apple today who was most confused until he back-tracked and double checked all the basics. He then realised that the actual serial number of my original phone (from the proof of purchase I sent him) was different to the one that they had recorded when they made the swap. I think he said it was out by one character and was actually showing as a mobile connected to AT&T (from the States). He said that the replacement phone was then set-up as per the serial number they had typoed into their system as locked to AT&T. The genius who did the swap at Apple Doncaster must have placed an unlock on it at the time in order for my 3 SIM to work at all. Therefore when I restored it, it returned to the settings of the incorrect original phone serial number!
So... Apple tech advisor said he can rectify the records and re-set the factory setting to an Australian iPhone on the 3 network within 12-24 hours. Fingers crossed all is good by tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks for your suggestions though, I had been trying everything to get it to work as I'm sure you know how hard they are to live without once you've got used to living with one!
Cheers, Tom. -
iTunes is telling me that my iP4 may be damaged and can't be activated, but I was using it when it turned itself off, so how can it be damaged? I even managed to download photo's from it whilst it was turned off, so there was clearly some functionality before I restored it. Is anyone aware of any problems with the Apple's servers currently?
Things fail sometimes.
Was it jailbroken or "unlocked"? -
iTunes is telling me that I have not purchased from my iPhone before although I have multiple times, and I don't remember my security questions and there is no option to change them. Any suggestions other than making a new account?
If you create a new Apple ID you won't have access to the media purchased with the Apple ID you are currently using.

Itunes is telling me that my simcard is not supported
I have the first iphone and just recently set it back to factory settings. Now it says to plug it into Itunes, but when I do so Itunes is telling me that the simcard is not supported. Can anyone help?
Two things
- Your SIM Card may be corrupted or damaged. Visit your carrier to fix replace it for a low cost or for free
- If your SIM Card is an unlocked edition, it might pull up forever until you get an official SIM card. There are new stores opening up for official SIM Card carriers like Cricket and Virgin Mobile. -
ITunes is telling me that my iMac is not authorised with my iTunes account.
Hi,
I need a bit of help here.
iTunes is telling me that my iMac is not authorised to my iTunes account, hence it's not allowing me to download purchases onto my hard drive.
I've had the iMac for about 2 years and this is the only computer I use for iTunes. It's saying I can't authorise for 82 days.
Any idea how I might get around this?
All the purchases are in the cloud so I can see them, I just cant download them to my drive.
Thanks

when trying to manually manage my music and videos on itunes its telling me i am already connected to another itunes library and that if i apply these settings it will delete all of my data and replace it with the current itunes library. will this just delete from the i tunes library or from my i tunes account all together?
Thanks for your reply. I don't keep all of my music in the iTunes' designated music folder. I don't like the way iTunes reorganizes my songs and I keep all my music in my own self organized music folders as I don't use iTunes as my primary media application. Not to mention allot of my files come from all different corners of my computer's hard drive. It would literally take months to go through over 20 gigs of media files to pick out the songs I have in my iPhone library to rebuild an iTunes library. Like i said, I don't even use iTunes other than to transfer files to my iPhone. I thought the purpose of manually managing the files was so you don't have to sync it with the iTunes library but now it won't give my that option without requiring me to delete everything on my phone I worked so hard on.
What I don't understand is logically or technically why iTunes HAS to delete all the content off of my iphone. Who's decision in the Apple's software engineering department was to require the one's iPhone to be erased if someone loses their iTunes library? Its frustrating because it makes no sense and I feel as if the software is punishing me for reasons I don't understand by threatening to delete all my content off my phone. Is there absolutely no way to transfer my music to my iPhone without deleting everything currently on and completely rebuilding my music library from scratch? -
my itunes program keeps telling me that i do not have the write access for my itunes media folder or a folder within it, what should i do to get permissions?
i really need help because my itunes keeps saying "you don't have write access for your Itunes Media Folder or a folder within it. Change permissions (in the Finder) and then choose Store > Check For Available Downloads."
