On the initial installation I made an error. Now for Wi-fi network it shows my password. How do I correct

I have a new iPod Touch. I've made an error on the inital install, Whenever I try to open Wi-Fi my ID comes up as my network. I've tried a reset but to no avail.

Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

thank you for trying to help. I do not have apple software update on my computer. I have tried to install several programs so i could install it but every installation will not finish and rolls back and says no changes were made to my computer so i can't install the update. What is the correct procedure to install a TCS application not included in the initial installation?

I can go through the installation procedure to the point when I've switched to the 2nd DVD. Setup resumes and a few seconds later states that no application was installed.
I'm adding Captivate to my initial installation of FM9, Acrobat9 and Photoshop. I'm not uninstalling them first. Should I? Why?
The initial installation was a year ago. The OS is Windows 7.

Yes, I just want to add Captivate. I've been successfully doing the canonical installation (DVD1 > setup (autoplay wouldn't work due according to the error message to a Unicode error in the lang.dat file) up to the switch to DVD2.
As far as starting from DVD2 is concerned, there's no setup file on it to launch. So that route is out.
Another option (because some have reported issues with installing from DVD) is to copy the contents of both DVDs to a temp folder on your hard drive and start the install from there.
Copying DVD2 to the HD might be a solution. Unless data is somehow corrupted on DVD2, but in that case, why did the original installation succeed?

This is not the first time I get it, and it seems a recurring problem.

I have a brand new HP laptop windows 64bit that is having issues installing Itunes 10.6.3. I cannot repair the apple software update as it cannot install from the error mentioned above. Looking through the logs, it shows error : 1721, problem with windows installer package.Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

You might want to just manually power down your machine and, if necessary, start the installation process anew. You're unlikely to damage anything by doing this. It may have actually installed and is just hanging when it's supposed to reboot.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

Then I'd check the system drive, if it has problems.
To check your System drive boot into the Recovery Partition, see: OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery
Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R), and keep holding them until the Apple icon appears, indicating that your Mac is starting up.
You will see a panel, where you can use Disk Utility to check your System Drive.

I just had this happen to me too – hung on "Completing Installation" for over an hour on the 10.9.2 update. Got confidence from this thread to restart (and things also seem fine for me), but I've had bad experiences doing that with similar system updates, so it certainly makes me more wary of applying Mac OS updates than I should need to be. I definitely expect more of Apple.
