On the middle interface language

Big Brother Big Sister were all good
Recently I undertake to an Arabic typesetting character, so I downloaded and installed InDesign CC Middle East edition, the interface language is English, English I am very poor, there is no way to turn the Middle East version of the language change into simplified Chinese version or let Chinese version supports Arabic writing and publishing.

Warranty is worldwide. He can take it to a Dutch Apple Store without worrying
Best of luck.

  • How can I activate the Middle East Languages in My Indesign CS6?

I need to view and change the Middle East Language Text in the Indesign Documents.
I've the Adobe CS6 Master Suite. Do I need to buy a particular version of Indesign CS6? Or i't enough to download some package?
    Thanks a lot

Peter and Steve have already given you somewhere between 90% and 100% of the answers you'd need to get this to work.
If I open a document with Arabian Text (for example) I see this text
That makes it look like you are missing a font. If you have InDesign documents that already have correctly-typeset Arabic (not "Arabian") text using contemporary fonts and RTL text direction, then all you have going on here is a dropped font. When you open the document up, do you get a missing-fonts warning? If so, that's what you need to fix! If not, then you need to be using the same version of the font that was used in the document originally. In fact, if I had to take a guess, I would guess that someone typeset an Arabic document in one of those fonts on a Windows machine in Arial, and your Mac has an old version of Arial that has no Arabic glyphs. Or something along those lines. But it's just a guess - without more information from you, all we can do here is guess and make general reccomendations.
    Speaking of which:
I'd strongly recommend viewing Diane's videos on Lynda. com. It will answer all your questions. It's a pretty complex area if you haven't done it before:
Steve's recco here is a very good one. That is the best intro to this kind of work that I have ever seen.
. I would think that a file that was saved from an Arabic enabled version would already have the Composer, and Right -to-left options, activated, but it's outside my workflow.
Peter's observation here is correct, most of the time. Some Arabic files were produced by 20th-century means (mirror-reversed fonts, custom-encoding hacks, special fonts that only really work with ArabicXT on Quark, and so on) and require significant reconstruction if you want to use them in CS6.
So if their suggestions don't get you 100% of the way to a working document, try posting some more details (like names of fonts, histories of files, more-revealing screenshots of the whole ID window in View-> Screen Mode -> Normal with text tool active, and so on) and I'm sure we can figure it out.

  • How to change the iPad interface language from Chinese to English?

On my iPad's 'Settngs' software I was selecting Chinese and Arabic keyboards to enable input in those languages which I am learning and went on to activate those languages in other settings also.   This somehow changed the interface language to Chinese and now program names and menus in 'Settings' program are all in Chinese which I cannot understand and thus cannot go back to English.   How to change to English language without having to restore or reset my iPad as I do not want to loose the data in it.
    Thanks

  • HT4208 App store user interface language

Recently, the user interface language of the App Store turned from German to Japanese. How can I set it back to German?

The iTunes and App store will usually only display the language of the country you made the subscription I can only down load from Japan iTunes and sometimes they do not have Apps or what ever but someties it depends on you language prefferences too ,it is quite annoying and confusing I use Finnish and English Swedish.
Apple is not altogether internatonal because of international agreements and local protectionism that is why there is no Finnish dictionary and spell checker
we are bound by the laws of the country we live in at the present and Apple and any other company does not want us to mixit up ,but they the internationalists Capitalists can do this  like make Apple pruducts in China cheap labour.
yet it took years for Chinese to get Apple products ! Apple Japan is not very popular beause Japanese do not like the translations of Japanese by Nissei Japanese who live in the US!
Look at all the language preferences  in Apple OSX they do nothing I use about 5 languages and find a total mix up my keyboard does not know what I am using better to have different computers install different language.

  • Changing Interface language of PSE10

    Hi all,
I'd appreciate if someone of you coud explain me how to change the actual interface language of Adobe PE10 from Dutch into English.
    TIA
    Best regards,
    Sherefedin

    Dear Sir,
you can also change the NLS_LANG in the registry editor to same value without adding new system variable.
but set it to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1256 so you can still store and retrieve Arabic characters in the database. because if you use AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 the Arabian words will appear like this (???).

  • Is it possible to have English as the interface language, but use (and develope for) any other language/locale?

Before installing Firefox, I need to clarify the following:
The use of locales: I am a developer and my preferable language, for the interface, is English (though, it is not my mother tongue). But, I would like to be able to use any other language (including, the use of any dictionary) and develop for any language or locale. So, does the English version let me do the above mentioned?
Or, eg, do I need to install the Hebrew locale, if I want to use the Hebrew dictionary?
Or, is it possible to install different locales on the same computer (and for the same user, in Win XP)?

You can install any dictionary is every locale, so that shouldn't be a problem if you use the English locale.
If you want to check out the user interface or how the browser acts with an RTL locale like Hebrew then you need to install the language pack and switch to that locale.
You can install additional language packs in any Firefox version.

That sounds like a kernel panic. These are generally hardware related, often caused by poorly seated or fauly RAM.

I have installed the photosop cc as a finnish language version. It was a mistake and I would to like to chage the interface language into english. How do I do it?

Here is a screenshot guide, if you need it.  First open the CC Panel and from the cog choose Preferences.
Select your language and Photoshop should now have an install button which will be your desired language.
    Go ahead and install.
When that step is completed, go into Photoshop Preferences > Interface and choose your newly installed language.
Restart Photoshop for it to take effect.

  • How can i use the maps in language which different...

i do use the phone in English interface. but to navigate in the Middle East is very hard because the spelling of the names of the street is so different. So better to navigate in Arabic. when i switched the phone to Arabic the maps switch too. but i wish if there is anyway to keep the phone in English and the map in Arabic ..... any ideas ??!!!

If you are referring to the displayed names, then no - this is determined by the phone language settings, but if you are referring to voice guidance then it's as easy as pie - the Maps voice guidance language is not linked to the UI language, you can download voice files to the phone using either Map Loader or Ovi Suite, then you just need to go in Maps to Options>Tools>Settings>Navigation>Voice guidance and select Arabic.
It is also possible to download the voice files directly to the phone, though the download is likely to be several megabites so beware if you are using a chargeable connection. Simply make sure that Maps is online (Options>Tools>Go online) then select the Arabic language as I guided above and it will ask you to confirm that you want to download the voice files and then do it.
The very latest Maps version, 3.03, also includes a new feature to read out the street names, so instead of just "In 100 metres turn right", it would say "In 100 metres, turn right into High Street"; but unfortunatelty this new feature is only so far available in a small number of languages and Arabic is not yet one of those.

  • Middle-East Languages support - Will it ever be so...

    Dear the Skype support team,
As an Israeli user who's using Skype a lot for work and private purposes, After so many years I really can't understand why there's no any Middle-East languages full support. Of course, you can to change the language to hebrew, but then everything is mixed up because it's built on the base of Left-to-Right languages, like English etc.
I am attaching a few images to show the difference between how it is right now using Hebrew with skype and how it is should be like.
    Skype home:
Looks like: http://i . imgur . com/eGllguc.jpg (with no spaces)
Should be like: http://i . imgur . com/IPApvdr.jpg (with no spaces)
As you can see the all interface should be RTL, starting with changing the places of the Skype home and the contacts and recent window tabs, as the status changing, the friends latest updates which should be RTL (the profile picture and the text in opposite sides), changing the place between the "recent" and "contacts" tabs, and also there to change the place between the contacts profile picture to theirs Skype nickname and status.
    Chatting with someone:
Looks like: http://i . imgur . com/4jpPLYR.jpg (with no spaces)
Should be like: http://i . imgur . com/MEOyv34.jpg (with no spaces)
As you can see, it's not so bad as it is in Skype home, but still something writing in Hebrew, changing to English, and going back to Hebrew mix-up the order of the sentence and become impossible to read, also the usernames and the sending times are in opposite sides and makes it more complicated to know who the message were sent from.
If you'll need anymore help with understanding how to make it comfortable to use for Middle-East users, I'll be glad to help, but please fix this issue, which should be a minor one, and despite this not yet solved.
    Thanks a lot,
    Erel.

  • Does the IE CS6 version have Support for the Middle Eastern tool set? - left to right typing etc.

Does the IE CS6 version have Support for the Middle Eastern tool set? - left to right typing etc.

I assume IE means International English, as opposed to English North America (aka US English). There is Middle Eastern and Hebrew support via an English user interface for programs that support it such as InDesign.
You can change the install language by launching the Adobe Application Manager and clicking on your name in the top left to bring up a context menu. From the menu select Preferences and then click the drop down for Languages. See the screen shot below:
