On the row of tabs, my 'new tab' button thingy at the end disapeared overnight.

Yesterday there was a tiny button with a plus on it to open a new tab. overnight it somehow just disappeared, and it forces me to now go to 'File>New Tab' which is a huge inconvenience, and makes it much more difficult.

You usually find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible space to the left of it.

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings. 
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made. 
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".

How do I create a new row on tab out of the last column, last row?

I've seen a few topics on this but none that I think were really very good solutions.
Use Case:
On tab out of the last column in the last row, a new row should be added to the end of the table. Bonus points for setting the focus to the first <af:inputText> of the newly created row.
Complications:
1. I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a function that returns the column's displayed index. Sadly, <column binding>.getDisplayIndex() returns -1 unless the user has manually re-ordered the column.
2. Value Change Listeners only fire if there is a value change. Guess that means I need to do client/server listeners to check each and every <af:inputText> for a tab press?
3. I'm not even going to get into setting the focus. With all the templates, regions, etc. going on, it's dang near impossible.
Any ideas on how to attack this one?

Hi,
You will need to use the Run Engine Installation Wizard found on the Tools menu. In addition you need to create a installation set for the operator interface.
Look at Chapter 16 Distrubuting TestStand ( chapter 17 for version 2).
Once you have created your installation, install is on your new system.
The serial number etc is part of the process model. When you run the entry point 'Test UUTs' the PreUUT callback is executed which asks the user for the serial number.

I want my new tabs to open at the end of the row of tabs, how do I do that?

When I open a new tab, I would like it to open at the end of the row of tabs, not next to the tab I'm on now. I'm used to it opening on the end like it did in older versions of Firefox. I'm sure this is an easy fix but I can't find anything in options and I'm getting frustrated.

I have several news sites as my home page. Previously if i clicked a link...it would open a new tab at the righthand end of the row....now it opens in the middle of the row of tabs. Cannot find the setting to change back to righthand end of row

Place of newly opened tabs is not logical (not put to the end of row)

When I have more tabs opened (for example 5) and I click a link with the middle mouse-button NOT on the last tab (for example on the 2nd one) Firefox does not put the newly opened tab to the end of the row, it is inserted right after the clicked page (newly opened tab is inserted between 2 existing tabs). Previous Firefox versions did always put the newly opened tabs to the end. How could it be set in case of 3.6.10?

When I have many tabs open, & I am viewing the 1st one in the row of tabs, how can I make ctrl+T open tab next to it instead of down at the end of all the tabs?

Create an application item. APP_HOME_COUNT.
Create an application process:
make the application process type "on new instance" if you only want this to run once
make it "on load before header" if you want to have the value set every page load
application process source:
select count(*) into APP_HOME_COUNT from <your table>
modify the tab name to reference the app item, maybe something like "Count(&APP_HOME_COUNT.)"
result should look like this "Count(5)"

You are not using Numbers '09. You are using Numbers 3 and that feature has gone. Numbers '09 (Numbers 2.3) may still be on your computer. Look in a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder.

The trick is to drag icons for both versions to your Dock. Right click or control click on each and Options > Keep in Dock. That puts you in charge of which version you launch.
Instead of double clicking the document, run whichever version of Numbers/Pages/Keynote suits and use File > Open.

Since latest update, every time I start up Firefox the "New Tab" button is gone and I need to re-add it from the "customise toolbar" menu.

I don't know if my settings are not being remembered or what, but the New Tab button is missing each time I open up Firefox.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Left clicking or right clicking on the new tab button does not open a new tab. Common fixes have been unsuccessful. I don't know what's wrong. It's a recent problem, and even though I'm using an older version of Firefox this hasn't been a problem before.

The current version of Firefox moves the tabs. Now the focus moves off the end of the row. I think this runs counter to the point of having tabs, if you can only see one at a time. How do I fix this

The tabs bar on 3.6 Firefox now focuses on the last tab in the row. This means that I can only effectively see one tab, unless I use the arrow button to scroll back through all the tabs. Thanks for taking a stab at it: that didn't prove to be the problem. That option in the settings for tabbed browsing was not checked.
I may be a bit behind the times: I am used to tabbed browsing showing all the tabs it possibly can, instead of just the last one. Sometimes it won't even show the last tab: I can have 15 tabs open, and not see a single tab. I've been confused by this into closing a window with lots of tabs open, because it looks like a single page-window.
My main problem with the tab-bar flashing to the end of the row is that it means a great deal more mouse-clicking around to browse.
I haven't tried installing the latest beta. Maybe that would fix the problem.
