On the start screen, my trackpad mouse doesn't work

My mouse will move around, but will not click on anything. I have to type my user name and hit enter to select it, because the mouse doesn't click on anything. If I want to turn the computer off or anything else that requires a click on the start screen, I just can't do it. Does this happen to anyone else?

Try to press the trackpad little harder when you are logging in. It will register the click.
Tap to click becomes operative once the OS starts up and the preference settings are accessed.
That is how my MBP works.

All computers are personal computers, a PC though is also "non-Apple" in common usage.
Mac also is platform and OS.
Very confused reading what you are trying to tell us.

When trying to read emails on hotmail on firefox, the "back" button on my mouse doesn't work right. It works fine if I use internet explorer. This started about three days ago.

Also doesn't work right when I try to click on the inbox. I sometimes just get a blank screen. Seems to work fine on every other site except Hotmail.

Nothing changed after clearing cashe and cookies and restarting in safe mode.

ZiiO 7 boots till the lock screen then... (doesn't work and flickers)

... then the touchscreen doesn't work and the backlight of the screen flickers. I already wrote to the customer service. This post is just to ask: is out the anyone which experienced the same problem?
To be honest this ZiiO is not mine. Mine works perfectly and I'm very happy with it, that's why I suggested a friend to buy one too. He said it worked for about 20min then...
I already tried: a couple of "0 seconds power button reset"; recovery mode factory reset; updating firmware from microSD (.00.28 to 2.003).

Did he install any third party software before this happened? I experience a similar case once but I was able to remove the corrupt app by running on safe mode. While you are powering it on, press and hold down the Menu button. Once you're on safe mode, do a factory reset (I know you wrote in your post above that you've done factory reset but worth a try). If this doesn't work, I suggest you contact the store (if you are still within the return period) and have your unit replaced otherwise, wait for the reply from customer support and have the unit RMA'ed. Hope this helps.

Sometimes my screen starts to move on my iMac. It's like it's trying to turn the page and it gets off center and the mouse doesn't work when it happens. It usually lasts about 15 seconds or so and happens often.

Sometimes the screen on my imac starts to shake like it it trying to "go to the next page". When this happens it usually freezes up for 15 seconds or so and the mouse doesn't work.

Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, work through each of the troubleshooting suggestions in this Apple support document as necessary.

However, from your discription, I suspect that something is broken. Maybe a dead battery. In that case. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and see what they say.

Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM.
1. SMC

Follow the procedure below:
1. Power down the machine.
2. Locate the following keys on your keyboard in preparation for Step 4:
command–option–P–R
3. Press the ‘power on’ button.
4. Immediately – and before the grey screen appears – hold down ‘command-option-P-R’ all together.
5. Keep them held down until you’ve heard the start-up chime twice. After you release them you should hear it again, and hopefully your Mac will boot up as it should normally.

My mail app quits a few seconds after launching. I get a blank screen and then it goes back to the starter screen

THe mail app on my ipad 2 quits right after launching. This happened as I was forwarding an email with a long attachment. Now I get a blank screen with just the icons, no mail mailboxes etc. after a few seconds that blank screen disappears and we go back to the starter screen. I tried rebooting, relaunching but no luck so far. Can somebody help me? Thanks

Have you tried removing the email account from the app through settings? I would try removing it, rebooting, opening the email app to see if it still crashes, & then adding it back your email account.
If you're leary about causing more issues while you're not home, you could always try using a third party mail app (there are many), accessing your email through it...not a fix for your problem but a way to deal with the situation until you can get it worked out.
Resetting all settings on the iPad (not deleting content) is a good way to clear many errors as it can remove leftover cache files & files that have become corrupt.

Qosmio F30 starts with blue stripes during the start screen of Vista

My Qosmio F30-114 runs since years without Problems with Vista Ultimate.
Since some Days there is a huge Problem.
The Qosmio starts with blue stripes during the start screen of vista.
So I deleted the driver of the graphic card and used the standard vga card driver. the hardware assistent found a driver on the system.
For a short moment i was very lucky.
After a restart, there was a blue screen. after the next restard, again the standard vga card driver.
What can i do?
The download section of toshiba has no drivers for graphic card.
And really ... i wonder - how does it works all the years without problems...
Has anyone a solution?

First of all do you have this issue on an external monitor too or only on the internal monitor? Maybe its not a problem of the graphic card so check this with an external monitor.
I have checked the Toshiba website and there I can find some drivers for the Qosmio F30:

BTW, since you mentioned in your post that "I have Thrice hard reset my phone but still facing the prob". Did you go to the Settings > About > Reset your phone? Considering that you already did this, but it does not fix the issue.You can try recovering the phone's software using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. I just upgraded to snow leopard and now my intellipoint mouse doesn't work, I tried downloading a new driver and it installs successfully except an extension but it still doesn't work, is this typical of the OS higher than 10.4? Is there any way I can get around this problem?

You need to check with the mouse's developer and see if it's supported or not. That information wouldn't be known by users on this forum.

Windows 8, set default application for example adobe reader, customize the start screen

I have two questions, Im going to deploy Windows 8 to our company, but have 2 big issues.
1) I need to customize the start screen, but cant find anywhere in the gpo´s? How can I do this without sysprepping etc (deploying with SCCM2012 SP1)
2) I need to set the default programs for adobe reader, mspaint etc, how can I do this? It doesnt work with the GPP and folder options, anyone have done this?

Internet Explorer immediately launches when try to open the desktop from the Start screen

When I log onto my computer, instead of the Start screen opening, the Desktop opens, AND when the Desktop opens, Internet Explorer immediately launches there.
Other times, when I log-on, my computer will open on the Start screen, but then immediately launches Internet Explorer on the Start screen. I didn't click any Internet Explorer icons."

Have you checked the suggestions by Robert?
When opening PC the start menu will automatically start Internet Explorer in APP mode, and if we set Internet Explorer to open in desktop mode, then it will automatically open under desktop when start?
As we have no Internet Explorer in startup configured, so it won't start by itself. We may try to replace Internet Explorer item's position on the start menu with a different APP, then check what happens(drag and drop the desktop icon on the place of the
Internet Explorer);
Is the MSN webpage your home page here? If not, then there might be some application on the startup automatically launches this page, we may take a try to disable one at a time to check; and if this is your default home page, try to replace it with another
one, then change it back.
