On Windows 7, Firefox 4 failed to show tabs defined by "Pin As App Tab" in the previous browsing session

On Windows 7, I defined new tabs using the , Firefox 4.0 "Pin As App Tab" . It seems OK.
While restarting Firefox 4.0 again after closing it, the new tabs created by "Pin As App Tab" disappeared.

Why has "Pin as App Tab" command disappeared when I right click on a web site?

Very much like FF4 and especially App Tabs. Today when I relaunched FF (1) App Tabs have disappeared (I have been reading how to keep them when I reopen FF) and (2) I no longer have a "Pin as App Tab" command when I right click on a web site I want to pin. Anyone got any clues? I am wondering if there is a conflict with Cooliris?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Why are tabs I've pinned as apps still opening in regular tabs as well?

Tabs I've pinned as apps continue to open as regular tabs even though I closed them and reset my options in startup that when Firefox opens use current pages. This completely wastes the spacesaving benefit of this feature. Also, with the new version, I have lost the ability to drag URLs into my folders.

You would certainly get a duplicate if you have your home page as an app-tap and with When Firefox starts: Show my home page.
Any other problems might have to do with "Tab Mix Plus" or "NoScript" extensions.
I can drag tabs to folder in Firefox 5, so that problem must be an extension.
You can test quickly one shot without extension, using
* "Alt+H" (Help) > Restart with Add-ons Disabled...
When your problem is solved, you might find value in these two extensions for tabs.

Pin as App Tab does not stick permanently

Pin as App Tab works for a day or two then disappears and I have to redo it. My favourite is GMail but it doesn't stick for long.

The file sessionstore.js is in the Firefox Profile Folder and if that file is deleted or gets corrupted then you lose the App Tabs.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to "Pin as App Tab"?

Sometimes (mainly with a touchpad) moving the mouse cursor to the tab, right-clicking and choosing "Pin as App Tab" is a lot of work compared to just using a keyboard shortcut. Is there a keyboard shortcut to do this?

It is a context menu entry and such entries require to right-click in a specific place to open that context menu. Such entries can never have a shortcut key.
You can't set focus to the tab bar easily. Ctrl +K followed by one or more tab key presses should focus the tab bar. 
Then you can press the context menu key at the right side of the space bar to open the context menu and press P to pin the current tab.

You can't currently permanently delete purchases, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding purchases

Medruck new window for terms failing to show next page

Dear Experts
I have created a new form from MEDRUCK and have created a new window for terms and conditions but its failing to show on next page. My terms and conditions are almost half a page hence i want them printed at the back of the purchase order.

The text am using are english like statement for terms and conditions simple text because they are almost half a page i created a window for them so that they will be printed at the back of the purchase order. When i print the report its not being seen. what else could i have done wrong?

I love using firefox app tabs, but they always disappear when I restart firefox. Is there any way to get chosen app tabs to load when firefox restarts?

Firefox 5 has a great new feature called app tabs, but it looks like I'm stuck resetting them every time I quit firefox or restart my computer. It seems to me the whole point of "pinned" app tabs is that they're the sites you read most frequently, and therefore it would be useful if they loaded automatically when firefox was started. Is there a way to do this? Do I have firefox on the wrong settings? Or am I stuck re-creating my app tabs every time I restart my computer / firefox??

Thanks for the reply, it seems to have solved my issue.
My tabs are normal and unpinned, I just have Firefox set to open all my current tabs. Safe Mode didn't seem to have this issue, so I disabled Classic Theme Restorer. Several restarts didn't have problems, so I enabled it again and now this isn't happening anymore. Hopefully it stays gone for good and didn't just stop momentarily.
Edit. So as soon as I posted this, it started happening again. More testing definitely points to Classic Theme Restorer as the cause, so I'll have to investigate solutions on that end.

It started right after I made a Firefox Sync account for my mobile device. Since then, I have deactivated the device and the account hoping to fix the problem. Nothing has worked.

Firefox "Pin as App Tab" bug/glitch issue

I've been trying the "Pin [website] as App Tab" feature, but sometimes after reopening Firefox, all the tabs disappear.
Although I generally lose the tabs after a browser crash, it also happens at other unusual times as well. Tabs generally don't disappear the first time the browser is reopened, but frequently disappear with subsequent closures.
Any ideas this occurs/or how this can be fixed would be much appreciated.

I can only get Firefox to start if I restore my system to an earlier date (the previous day for instance). If I just close down Firefox I cannot sart it up agian without a system restore -- yet it does not show as a task which is running after I click ont

Boinc is already running in the background as a service. There is no need to run "boinc" on the command line. The error you see is because it is trying to start Boinc again from the command line, but the service is already running and has claimed the port 31416.

I'm not sure why boincmgr won't connect... could you be more specific about what happens when you run it?
No, I can't be more specific than I've already been above. I've described all that I see that happens.
Other than that, the wiki tells you where to look at the log file (make sure there are no errors there) and explains the password for connecting (sounds like you already took care of that, but good to double check).
As you can see I've searched all the errors I got in the boinc wiki. I know what they mean, but not why are happening.
I think my problems come from a bad management of the files permissions by the package installation. I mean, when a package is installed there should be an script or something that modifies (or create the files with) the permissions that files must have, or create the groups that need to be created, and so on. But it looks like I have to modify all this data in order to get boincmngr connect to boinc, boinc and boincmngr get the writting permissions in the installation folder too, etc etc etc. I don't know very well how to do all this stuff (I mean that I've already created by hand the boinc group, changed the execution, access, modification of files with users and boinc groups credentials, and I still get silly errors as "boinc can't write" in a folder which is the owner, or can't write executed by the root. All this stuff messed me up because looks too much stupid), but more important, I shouldn't to do it manually after a package installation.
I should open a bug report in arhlinux first and if they can't solve the problem open it in the boinc support, I suppose.

When I open a new window in FFox7, how can I make it automatically appear exactly on top of the previous window -- not resized, not shifted, but directly on top?

I used to set Firefox to full screen; but my new monitor is too big to do that. So I sized the Firefox window to the size I want, and I carefully centered it (using a tape measure to get it as close to dead center as possible).
But everytime I open a new window, it appears shifted slightly to the right (I think that's called cascading, but I'm not sure). While some might like this feature, I prefer it open exactly on top of the previous window; and it's a pain to have to shift the new window manually every time I open one.
How do I set Firefox to open new windows right on top of the parent window (and the same size), covering it up completely?

Firefox won't let me select options from drop down menus, on the previous version nor on the current 4.0 version that I just downloaded.

If I am on a site and trying to get information etc, and I have to choose from a drop down menu of any kind, Firefox won't let me choose anything. I can't answer the next question regarding This Happened because I can't select from your drop down.
