Once again, how to close file marked "edit in process"

I have several times searched for answer on this, and the same thing keeps happening to me.  I open a jpeg in Organizer and then mvoe to edit.  BUt then I can't figure out how to save it or close it or whatever you are supposed to do.  I just got through with one by exporting it so I could use it in a Publisher project, but it's still in Organizer (PSE9) with the infamous red band.  I can't get into the editor because it's busy and I habe to finish editing.  It's like an endless loop.    There must be some simple solution - but it looks as if a lot of people have trouble with this.
Please help!!!!!!

The red band in the Organizer would go away as soon as you close the image in Editor.
Please note that the red band would remain there even if you save the image. So the only way to get it removed is to close the image in Editor

  • TS5376 iTunes once again won't close. Past versions of iTunes had the most annoying behavior that when ever closed it would immediately reopen. Apple update just installed the latest version and the problem is back. Help.

    Past versions of iTunes for Windows had the annoying behavior that it couldn't be closed. If I tried to exit or close the window iTunes would just open back up again. It had gone away, but apple just installed version 11.1.5.5 and it's back! The only way to exit is to open task manager and kill the process. Nothing else seems to work. Guess what Apple, I really don't want to have iTunes open all the time. I think the only answer is to stop using iTunes, since I don't have any Apple devices anyway, and go with a different music player on my PC.

    Thanks.
    Just in case, we'd better check on another old potential culprit (don't see it reported much lately, though) ... do you have any Logitech gaming software installed on the PC?
    If so, perhaps try the suggestion from the following post:

  • How to view files and edit them

    Hi,
    I am a begginer to java programing. Now I have been involved in developing a tool, which takes text files as inputs and performs intelligent file comparisions and gives reports in different formats like, HTML, PDF and Text files. And these inputs can be given through a GUI window. Now When the user selects his input file from this window, I want to provide him an option of viewing this pariticular file so that he can be sure of his input and also allow him to make necessary changes in this file as well. This file is always going to be a text file. For selecting the file Iam using FileChooser. But I couldnt get much help on what to use for viewing a file and then editing it as well. Can anyone pleeeeeeeeeease help me. It would be really great if somebody can help me out with this.
    Thanks and Regards,

    You might find JEdit a good base for your tool as you
    can add plugins. Google for JEdit.Thank a lot for your reply.

  • How to close Terminal Windows and terminate processes with Applescript?

    I'm trying to quit the Terminal via AppleScript. I need to run 4 different Terminal scripts on a server but would also need to restart this server every day automatically... and my favorite choice would be to do this properly.
    I suceeded terminating all other applications, cleaning folders and sending messages, but I did not find a solution quitting the Terminal!
    When I tell it to quit, it asks if I want to terminate all processes, even if I use the "ignoring application responses" command. The Terminal gets stuck on that dialog box and one has to manually hit "Terminate".
    Anyone knows about a solution how to avoid this prompt or how to default "Terminate"? There must be something like "close window 1 with process terminate", or?
    Many thanks in advance!

    :-))) Sometimes the answer is so easy... Thanks a lot!

  • [Solved]how generate a *.files for pkgfile whit a custom off-line repo

    I reated a repo whit repo-add (and options) but I noticed that I cannot get throw manpages a way to create a $repo.files for pkgfile
    my reppo is on my home for now, I learning how create one,thisis why I ask
    any 'hiden' or special combination of script for creating that file??
    another think is... abs download from the master svn branch right??

    $ repo-add --files foo.files.tar.gz pacman-4.1.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    ==> Adding package 'pacman-4.1.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz'
    -> Computing checksums...
    -> Creating 'desc' db entry...
    -> Creating 'depends' db entry...
    -> Creating 'files' db entry...
    ==> Creating updated database file 'foo.files.tar.gz'
    Second to last line:
    " -> Creating 'files' db entry...
    The "$repo.files" database is just a regular database with extra files in it. You can name it whatever you want. Pacman can use it the same way it uses the regular "$repo.db" file.
    The only reason that servers include both $repo.db and $repo.files is that $repo.files is larger. Most people do not need the file lists, so there is no need to download them. If you are running a local server, then you should just create one database with "repo-add --files", can create a symlink:
    $ repo-add --files foo.db.tar.gz
    $ ln -s foo.db files.db
    Otherwise, you have to run repo-add twice. Once to create $repo.db without the file lists, then once again to create $repo.files with the lists.
    My repo-add_and_sign script does this automatically. It can also batch-sign packages and databases.

  • How to backup files from old time machine to new time machine

    I have been using an external drive as my Time Machine for about a year. I just got a Time Capsule. Can I set up Time Machine to move all the backups from my old drive to my new Time Capsule? I assume it's not as simple as dragging the files from my old drive to the Time Capsule drive.
    I have clicked Change Disk... in the Time Machine preferences to change my backup drive to the Time Capsule. However, I don't think that's going to move my old backup files to the Time Capsule.

    boboosta wrote:
    Unfortunately, I do not have enough spare disk space on a temporary disk. I've got 600 GB on my time machine drive. I went ahead and changed my Time Machine disk to the Time Capsule. I'll keep the backup files on my old time machine disk for a few weeks--in hopes a solution is found. After that, I'll erase the old time machine files to free up the disk space.
    You might have been able to transfer the old Time Capsule contents to the new one by connecting the old Time Capsule to your computer with an Ethernet cable. If this gave you visibility of the disks of both Time Capsules, then you could use your computer to transfer the "sparsebundle" file(s) from the old to the new.
    Now that you've started using your new Time Capsule, if you try once again to transfer those files, you'll lose any interim Time Machine backups, although that may not be a problem.

  • How to sync two excel files, the content is the same in both files after edit.

    I have two excel files, which are data and edit by multi users, how can I sync the master files to the copy files after edit?
    Is this operation required VBA? marco?

    Hi,
    Your request could be done via VBA code. Here are two ideas.
    One:
    Syncing the data from master file to the copy file without opening copy file. Sample code
    Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    If Target.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
    Dim cnn As Object, SQL$, s$
    Select Case True
    Case Target.Value = ""
    s = "null"
    Case IsDate(Target.Value)
    s = "#" & Target.Value & "#"
    Case IsNumeric(Target.Value)
    s = Target.Value
    Case Else
    s = "'" & Target.Value & "'"
    End Select
    Set cnn = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    cnn.Open "provider=microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0;extended properties='excel 8.0;hdr=no';data source=" & ThisWorkbook.Path & "\test folder\Book2.xls"
    SQL = "update [Sheet1$" & Target.Address(0, 0) & ":" & Target.Address(0, 0) & "] set f1=" & s
    cnn.Execute (SQL)
    cnn.Close
    Set cnn = Nothing
    End Sub
    Two:

    hi,
    u can do it in chanin end chain.
    For example if there are 10 fields in the screen and for 5 fields whenever the user enters wrong values u like to give some error message. You can declare that fields in the chain enchain so that only those fields will be input enabled and all other fields will disabled.
    CHAIN.
    FIELD chk_connobj.
    FIELD chk_inst.
    FIELD chk_devloc.
