Once again, I need help...I'm starting to hate this board

Ok, I'm going to start from the beginning. When I first built this computer last year, (specs at the bottom) everything ran seemlessly. I upgraded to WinXP and no problems. Then my hardrive started screwing up around mid-summertime. The computer would freeze, crash, ect. Various things. After doing some research, running diagnostics and calling IBM, it was decided that the drive had gone bad. So I took it out, and bought a new western digital. After installation of the drive, and installing XP on the newly formatted drive, I expected everything to work fine. It didn't. First, there were blue and black screens of death. Sometimes the blue screens would mention something about IRQ's not less or equal, sometimes something else. Sometimes the computer would just restart for no reason. So I reformatted again. This fixed the blue screen problem and for about a day, everything (I thought) was cool. Think again. To start, I couldn't run any 3d application for an extended period of time without it freezing. And if I set the CPU to 1.2 ghz (where it should be!) it gets even worse. I even tried uping the voltage a little. No help. Sometimes the computer would just (once again) restart for no reason. Especially while using winamp. I tried different drivers, different bioses, readjusting my fan on my cpu, running memtest86 (which showed the memory to be fine). I have read through MANY threads on the forums and tried many other things, with no luck. The current situation, after attempting to install WinXP servicepack 1 is that I cant even load Windows. It always gets to the point where the blue bar is moving across while it says WinXP, and then the computer restarts. I ran tests to check how the powersupply was running during use, nd all the numbers looked good. The thing that really pisses me off, is that everything use to work fine, before the IBM drive crashed. Guys, I need some expertise and a Beer. I can do the second one myself and will gladly get a case for whoever can help me straighten this out! Even if I just have some part that needs replaced, I just need answers! Thanks guys!

All these guys with there power supply is a bunch of bunk and the combine this and that. a decent 300w psu will run the nforce with onboard vid or a geforce 3 easely. and forget all the combined crap.
Heres what my 300watt power could handle before I gave it to my kid.

And whatever else I plugged into the usb port and the only time I ever had Maveric's problem, which I had the same thing was when switch system driver from 1.0 to 1.05 they gave me the same thing he is having. so I stayed with the 1.0 until the 1.13's came along and they worked well.
I suggest his is a driver issue IRQ not less then, Bksod or random restarts or other blue screen errors.

Oh by the way now my kid uses my old 300watter on his 1900xp nforce machine, with all kind of toys and his is also stable. So Wonky and Athlonix quit suggesting that a 300psu is not sufficent when in fact it may work very well. oh and one more thing Athlonix GET OFF THE SOUND CARD THING!!! the onboard works, can't you get that in your head. Only yours doesn't every one elses does. can someone draw a picture of that

I guess I spoke too soon! I really can't believe this nightmare is not over yet! My account is still wrong. The credit that I was due totaled $63.00 I am looking at a message on my phone saying that $21.01 was credited which makes my balance $219.72. I received a text the following day that says, I processed your credit of $30.00 and your new balance $216.73 how is that possible? None of the late fees were credited and the amount due for my monthly charges are wrong. Before any changes were made to my data plan back in Nov. My monthly charges were $140.00, I needed my hot spot back and i was told that the hot spot will increase my bill $10 for each phone that totals $20. The customer rep that change my data plan at that time also gave me a credit of $20 to compensate for the increase until I had time to talk with customer service about the mix-up with my Hot spot. I originally had the hot spot, but the rep that change my plan almost a year prior told me nothing was changing except I was getting more for less money. I explained to that rep that I need my hot spot 4 times a year...and I don't want my plan to have any changes. To verify what I'm telling u check my account and see that I called from Albany New York wanting to know where my hot spot was and I was told I didn't have the hot spot on my account since the last data change! I lost money once again due to the verizon rep's. so my current data plan the rep promised would increase $20 which makes my monthly charges that were $140 prior to the change $160 after the hot spot was returned to my account. Then I was given a $12 credit per month for 12 months because of so many mistakes made to my account so with that $12 credit my monthly charges should $148 + surcharges + taxes and that's not what I see. I do know this much right now my account is in such a shambles I can hardly see the light at the end if there is an end! I need real help!

Are you sure you have the right pin for your other friend? Try deleting the contact and re-adding them. Also, BBM has to be approved in the countries of both parties.

H61M-E33 (B3) need help locks up @ starting win 7 screen

Having some weird issues with this board, just bought it brand new and trying to put together a nice Dual core system.
The problem is will not go past the splash screen shwoing the color orbs Starting Windows, just freezes and will not go further.
Works fine in the Bios and everything, I did find that the bios was a older version so I went to MSI and download the E7680IMS.AB0 file and used M-Flash to get it done, worked flawlessly, but still same issues.... Am I missing something? BTW below the specs I listed what I did so far.

Pentium Dual Core G630 2.7Ghz Sandy Bridge with Intel HD Graphics
1 - GSkill 4GB DDR3-1333
Seagate ES2 - 500GB Sata 2
LG DVD-RW 22X
Usiing the intel graphics no video card.
wanting to install Windows 7 x64 Pro but does the same on all OEM DISC x32 or a even a genuine Dell Win 7 Disc same issues.
I already tried 3 other hard drives, another 2GB DDR3 Gskill same specs, changed the bios settings to IDG instead of PEG, even set the overclock GT on and off, set the memory range to low and high 64-256 and maxium. I didn't try another DVD-rw don't think that would be a problem. After it loads the windows files and starts the spalsh screen. Please help, I'm out of opitons about ready to call up newegg and get this board replaced but I'm a Big MSI fan so wanna give it a chance.

Yep Posted that in the first thread, thinking about trying a different brand though, Gskill was the brand I had, I tried a stick out of my i5 system, Team Group 2GB DDR3-1600 , I also noticed it was 1.65V instead 1.5V and still same results so still stuck at square one. I set it to auto, and even did Manual 1.65V on DDR Voltage settings. I also would like to ADD its not the graphics either, installed a NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 Card still and booted it with that still same results. I don't understand it, maybe I should just RMA this board, but anymore suggestions I'm up for it.

Need help with Backup problems - anyone seen this before?

I am experiencing 2 primary problems:
1) When attempting a recent backup with HotSync on my desktop PC (Treo 700p, HotSync Manager v. 6.01, XP): I hadn't backed up for a few weeks, and this time it crashed sometime during the backup of the Calendar (and this behavior is repeated). So I then unchecked the backup of Calendar, but then it just hung on Contacts for about 15 minutes, so I realized it wasn't doing anything anymore (I have lots of contacts, but not not 15 minutes worth). At this point I gave up, but I obviously need to figure out how to make HotSync work again. Any ideas?
2) (not sure if this is the forum to address this): When using Backup Buddy v. 2.04 a couple of days ago, every time I tried to backup, it would get maybe 1/5th into the backup and crash and restart. I figured out in short order that Address.DB is what was causing the crash. [I tried to e-mail the file so I could examine it and save it, but just attaching it in SnapperMail made the device crash]. So I took the chance of deleting the Address.DB (as it seemed small and didn't appear to contain any backup information), and it looks like all of my information was retained. My question here is: two times since the initial problem, something has recreated Address.DB, which again causes the 700p to crash, so I have had to delete it again. So when is this file being (re)created, and what is the purpose of it?
An additional (minor) difficulty that I've had occur on a couple of occasions: After a recovery (where my BackupBuddy information was more current than my HotSync data), I restored, and all the calendar entries were double - 2 identical entries adjacent to one another. Has anyone seen this?

Dual G5 falling asleep again ramdomly, need help!!! DUAL G5 2.0gHz

I can't get any work done. I updated to the latest greatest OS that software update told me to do and now every time I try to work on anything processor intensive the computer fall asleep and I need to hit the escape key to wake it up. This will sometimes happen 2-3 times in one minute. I've posted on this problem several times in the last year and usually I've been able to get the machine running again. However this time nothing is fixing it. I've downloaded the combo update, trasted the ,plist files, reset the PRAM and cleaqned my cache, repaired permissions, booted from 10.4 install disc, run diagnostics, checked log files for thermal runnaway (never seen that one). Unfortunately this computer is about 3 years old now and all warantees and apple care have expired. It's had issues since the get go. I've had to replace the logic boar, case and one of the processors. I'm about to pay the 50 bucks and call apple but I was hoping that there would be a solution here first. Please help. My business is suffering...

Try this again also. If you have issues with a Mac or display that goes to sleep at inappropriate times, you may have a problem with Energy Saver. Delete the following .plist files and restart:
-/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist
-/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systemuiserver.plist--
(username is your name or System Administrators name)
-/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.AutoWake.plist
A restart is very important after deleting these plists. After a reboot your Mac will then generate new ones.
Some, in these forums, have had luck fixing sleep issues downloading the Combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again + try.
Yours would be the 10.4.8 Combo update. Others reading, download the combo update that applies to you!

I contacted Apple & did as below as advised & I got my contacts back.
Before I started I made sure that I had a Icloud backup for my IPhone ( which was before the problem started ).[ Settings > ICloud > Backup. ]
IPhone reset - by 'Erase all contents & settings...
after the phone starts, choose to restore from Icloud backup.. & choose the Backup you think is without the issue.
VERY IMPORTANT.. Once the phone restores from the backup & the Home screen comes, put the phone in Airplane mode Immediately.
Now go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts OFF. ( Keep the contacts )
Now OFF the Airplane mode & go to settings > Icloud > put the contacts ON & select Merge.
I got all my contacts back which was there until that Backup.

New User: Needs Help with getting started with the Z

Hi, my son got a creative Zen for xmas, only getting round to getting it together now, and having some problems with the manual. All this is new to us -technology etc. We have managed to rip a CD but cant get any further! Downloading from internet sounds like such a good idea, but 'know-how-to do' seems light years away in this house! Is there an easy start manual or step by step directions that I've missed out on somewhere? the quick start manual is fine for learning how to use the player but doesn't give any info on ripping CDs and whatever comes after. Can any of you 'experts' bring yourselves back to the begining and explain what to do in simple english?

I moved and edited your message as your are more likely to get help out here. As far as suggestions go for downloading from the internet goes, there is not a lot of difference between getting it from CDs. The main difference is the process of actually getting the music.
First off there are several music stores out there and some that are free. Here are a few suggestions (this is all personal knowledge, this is not an official endorsement of any of these):
Napster - Integrates into Windows Media Player if you desire and can transfer directly to most Zens. Also allows a user to subscribe to an account that allows for streaming and computer only downloads of music (must purchase song to transfer to the player...usually around .99 a song)
Buymusic.com - Website interface that sells individual tracks and albums.
Wallmart music store - Website interface that sells individual tracks and albums.
There are others but these three are the mains ones (outside of itunes, which is designed for the Ipod).
Basically once you download them, you go into MediaSource or Windows Media Player and add the files to the music library. Then you just transfer like you do with CDs.

Need help to get started!

I have little experience with Java and JDeveloper. I have to develop a very simple Portlet for our Portal and I just don't know where to look anymore to acheive this. Since this will run in Portal it has to be a Portlet.
This is what I have to acheive with JDeveloper.
I have to show data comming from a database.
1. On the Presentation Page, I want to have a table with a LOV. When a user select, as an example a Department, from the LOV on the Presentation Page, the table will be populate with the value where the Department = the LOV.Department.
Is there a place on OTN I can look for tutorial or example that can be build with JDeveloper but deploy on Portal? There is a lot of tutorial but I am not sure what can be deploy in Portal.

Finally I have been able to deploy my first Portlet to Portal. I have create a simple Portlet using Oracle PDK Java Portlet Wizard. Now if I can get an answer to the following question I will start putting my business logic to it.
Can someone tell me why I can only run the index.jsp in Jdev. If I try to run the other jsp pages created by the wizard I get an error. There must be something that I have not understand yet so any help will be very appreciate it.
Note. In portal I see all the Anatomy of my Portlet, the help, customize, etc etc.. everything is there.

Need help to get started with iMovie

I have used the iMac for sometime but never created a movie. With my new iMac, I want to start using the iMovie '09. The first basic problem is that it will not accept any of my videos.
I have videos made on a fairly new Cannon camera (*.movl), on a Flip recorder (*.avi). I thought the program would accept the *.mov but it will not. I have converted these videos to mpeg4, mp4, mov using ffmpegx, and mpeg streamclip, but they still will not be accepted by the iMovie program. I tried to drag and drop the videos without success, both with and without first creating a "New Project". What am I doing wrong?

This is a very complexed question (I think) and I can only suggest partial help if any.
I would from still photo Camera import to iPhoto. Mine does this and so the movie
sequences too.
Then after closing iPhoto and opening iMovie - I see in Browser/Events window high
at left hand - My Mac hard disk and under this iPhoto Library
And here I find my movie sequences from my Leica D-Lux and vife Nikon D300s

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the white Apple logo appears (about 15-20 seconds).
If this does not work, plug the device into a wall outlet for atleast 20 minutes and then try a reset.

It had been working but suddenly (just when I really need it) it just won't run. Other apps in the suite seem to be working OK except when I try to open a RAW camera file from Lightroom to Photoshop. It gives an error but when the error is cleared, the photo opens. Probably unrelated.
