Once I load photos on homepage can anyone copy/print them?

Is there a way to protect them so people can't copy/use them?

That's about the toughest thing to do on the internet.
I have seen many different ways to accomplish this and to be honest the easiest is to use a watermark or actual text on the photo, at least on the larger photo if linked to thumbnails. I do art work and this summer started getting into photography (again). I've done well in my studio and at shows with them but I am hesitant to publish on the internet. So much preparation needs to be done before uploading and feeling safe.
Here's one example of photos I took a few years ago and what I did to discourage copying and printing OP Sail 2000, all photos have been manipulated and they all have text, some will be more obvious while others you do not notice, unless you print them out.
You can try something like the above, you can use water mark, and one thing I will do, is crop the photo so I actually will have the only true 100% copy of original. I've got friends that actually make the image appear in a framed site, with half the image in one frame and the other half in the second frame but together looks good but difficult to simply copy. The last thing you can try and many artist do it, is simply only show a low resolution copy of image, something like a 400 x 600 resolution, this can still be copied and printed but can only be printed in a very small photo, maybe 3 x 5 max...
