Once I purchase version, can I publish on any website?

Hello!  I am brand, brand-spanking new to Captivate and Adobe products.  I asked the Adobe Help Desk if, after purchasing Captivate to create e-learning, I could just let my students access them.  The Help Desk people told me that, no, my students each had to purchase a license in order to even see the e-learning that I had created for them.  I thought this is ridiculous so thought I'd ask y'all what the real situation is.  Once I purchase a version, can't I just publish my e-learning to any website I want?
Thanks!

Yes you can just publish your projects to HTML/SWF or HTML5, upload them to a website and give the link to anyone to view in their web browser.  The Help Desk person obviously misunderstood your question and thought you were asking if end users could also use Captivate itself, rather than just view the output.

You can access websites without WiFi? Do you have a 3G/4G iPad?

  • I can't get to any websites using Firefox or IE but AOL works fine.

When I open Firefox or IE, the home pages are fine but then both just hang without loading any websites. Both just show the progress wheel circling. Sometimes clockwise green and sometimes counter clockwise gray. No issues with AOL. Problem started a couple of days ago after a scheduled computer update. Before that, I would get messages on Firefox that shockwave plugin and/or java plugins stopped working or crashed but would still be able to access sites like ebay. I've repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox which would work for briefly and then revert back to nothing happening. Repeatedly restarting the computer would allow both browsers to access a site or two and then they would freeze. Ran a full scan on Norton with no problems or malware discovered. Updated Java and I've also checked to see that there was no problem with the firewall and also reset the winsock. Help?

There are two things to check.
    *1
    Network Proxy
Type '''about:preferences'''<Enter> in the address bar.
    Select '''Advanced > Network.'''
Look for '''Configure How Firefox Connects''' and press the '''Settings''' button.
    Check the settings.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
    Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
    * Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
    * Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

  • Can't login to any websites with safari?

Hi, I have a prblem, that I can not login anymore to any websites (such as facebook, apple, yahoo ...) using Safari version 5.1.9, how I could solve this problem, because when you are trying to login it just reloads and asks again to type the username and pasword.

Are you using a third party password manager?
    And try this ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

  • "Connected" to the internet, but can't get on any websites or other pgms...

A couple nights ago, there was a blackout at my house. This happened while my iMac was on.
It connects using the Airport wireless modem to my landlord's router 3 stories up.
Since the blackout, I've been "connected" to his network, but haven't been able to get on any websites. Do I simply need him to reset his router, or is there a deeper problem? Thanks!
FWIW, this did happen very rarely before the blackout, but is now 100% of the time since....
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,
A UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) is a battery back up, so if you power goes out you can finish up what you're working on and shut down normally.
I had a similar incident this week, power went out all computers, modem and router went out. After power was restored all started up fine and looked good. Wireless router showed I was connected to the internet but could not surf any site. I had changed my email account password several weeks earlier (email account provided by my ISP) and did not think this had anything to do my boradband connection, but I was wrong.
To make a long story short, I had to update the password as it related to my broadband connection. The connection was there, it just did not recognize my new password because I had changed it... If you control the account and you've changed any passwords associated with account yu will have to update or your landlord will have to update... make sense?

  • Can't connect to any website through Firefox (Connecting...), but Internet Explorer works.

I have had on and off problems with Firefox working, but up until now, restarting the computer solved the problem. Now it won't load any website for anything...it keeps circulating with "Connecting...". Internet Explorer works just fine and the internet is working with all other devices, the only thing I can find that may be impacting is that the internet has no IPv6 access (I have no clue though and the box is checked). I have tried all of the advice I have found on other similar posts such as disabling the IPv6 and the Prefetch through 'about:config', I restarted the computer multiple times, unplugged the router, checked the firewall and removed and re-added Firefox, cleared the cookies and cache, reinstalled Firefox, uninstalled Chrome.
Nothing seems to be getting me any closer to having Firefox up and connecting again.
As a side note, I only have been having those on and off problems, and this current problem, while connected to my home internet--other connections have had no problems. Also, I am using Norton Antivirus which is up to date and showing no problems at present.
Any ideas on how to fix?

Have you flushed the dns cache on the computer recently? It could be that it has stored the unsuccessful message.

  • Can i publish an iWeb website to any host?

I want to use iWeb to build a website but i don't use mobile me.
I have a domain name with 1&1 and I have all the relevant ftp information but i can't see how you can publish a site made in iWeb unless it's through mobile me.
So does anyone know how I can get a site i've just made onto the internet without using mobile me? my web hosters are 1and1.
    many thanks
    Joe

    Joe:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Yes you can publish an iWeb site to any host server. It involves publishing to a folder on the Desktop (or anywhere you want it to reside on the HD) and then uploading the contents of that folder, a site folder and an index.html file, to your server using an ftp client like the free Cyberduck.
Enter the ftp information into Cyberduck and upload.

  • No longer getting mail on iPhone, nor can I connect to any website on iPhon

Hoping someone can help, or has had a similar experience. This morning, my iPhone stopped sending/receiving emails. I checked on the iMac, everything working OK there. I haven't changed any settings on anything, and have been using the iPhone successfully since Christmas.
I did a forced Restore from iTunes for the iPhone - it took several attempts, and I had to do the trick of removing the USB cable, then holding in the Home button while the phone booted up, then clicking Restore. I have got everything synced as normal on the iPHone: the address book, iCal, the iPod - everything is there fine: but the email account looks odd (only an inbox is showing, and none of my .mac folders), and it won't send or receive email, and neither will Safari work (none of the bookmarks work).
Here is the message I get when I try to send/receive email:
"Cannot get Mail. The connection to the server 'mail.mac.com' failed."
Now I'm not an expert - else I wouldn't be here to ask for your help! - but I wondered if that meant some of the settings on the iPhone had been lost. But I've checked in Settings under Mail - all my correct account info is there; the right name etc, and I re-entered the password just to make sure.
On iPHone Safari, if I try to connect to a bookmark, I get a similar message:
'Safari can't open the page because it is not connected to the internet'.
I don't understand at all what's happening. The iPhone can 'see' and is connected to my usual home wifi setup (the same one the iMac and powerbook use, and they're both working fine).
If anyone has any suggestion as to what might be wrong, I would be most grateful. Thank you for your help.
    cheers
    Graeme

    Hello All,
Thank you for allowing me to join these forums.
I'm having the same e-mail issues.
My IPhone is not feeling the love for e-mails.
It has been "working" VERY sporadically since I purchased the phone.
I've already spent a ton of time trying to fix it, but nothing seems to get it to update my e-mails consistantly.
I deleted most of the e-mails that were in my Inboxes too.
Any more ideas on what I should look for, other than another phone???
Thanks for all of your help,
    Ben

  • After recently updating Firefox through the automatic updater, I can no longer load any websites in Firefox. How can I resolve this?

IE loads websites fine. I have tried all the suggestions from the articles of the knowledge base including checking proxy settings, editing about:config and starting in safe mode; none of which have resolved the problem.

Forgot to mention the online version of the Flash Player Installer is now affected as well. I could not update flash player using it and had to download the offline installer.
This makes me wonder whether it still is a firewall or even a router issue, but like I said I tried the re-adding as an exception in the firewall method and having not changed anything with my router I don't see why that would be an issue.

  • Why can't I access any website for two days? Ken

For 2 days I have been getting the message "Firefox can't establish a conection to the server at ..." This happens with any web site and it's frustrating.
Internet Explorer works on this computer but I don't like it at all.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Can't get to any websites using Mozilla Firefox with Windows XP

Have installed NoScript and use the icon to allow the individual websites, but I still get the "JavaScript required" notice. If I look with the icon, the website is allowed. Can't reach my Verizon DSL email nor Facebook.

    Hey, pizzapie22!
In my experience with NoScript, sometimes even if you allow the main site to load JS, some blocked scripts from different domains prevent content from loading.
Does your NoScript icon have a smaller "No" symbol in its lower-right corner? If it does you may have to allow additional scripts.
    Does this help?

  • Why can't I enter any website to block?

I've got a Linksys WRT610N router.  I'm in the router's administrative website, looking at the Access Restrictions tab.  There's 4 textboxes to enter URL's to block.  But I cannot enter anything into any of those textboxes.
    Why not?

Before you try to upgrade the firmware on your Router, you can try to reset your router and re-configure all the settings on your router from scratch and then check if the Access Restriction tab is grayed or you are able to make the changes on it.
