One account - mutliple users

I work for a school and am interested in the Form Central product to survey and collect feedback on student learning and other information from parents.
I can see infomation for single users, but in a school context this in not affordable to get every teacher who will create / edit and analyse feedback an individual licence.
We run the full Creative CC package at the school, holding a licence for all this software and were hoping it might sit within that, but seemingly not.
Is there any way to have multiple users on the one account without the cost associated with individual licences.
Thanks

Hi;
We do have a free solution that should fulfill your needs.  I'll continue with more info below...
There are not any special pricing plans for schools, non-profit or others, there is also no sort of shared or team plan.  FormsCentral is also not a part of the Creative Cloud membership.
You would want to create one paid subscription that would be the "master" account where you'd create your new forms.  Then, anyone who needs to analyze the data, or collaborate on any of the forms can create a Free account and you can share forms with those Free users, you can either share the form and/or the responses at different levels of permission.  The features in any form are tied to the authors subscription level, so long as you (the one with the paid subscription) are the initial author on the forms and share them with the other Free users all the forms behave as paid subscription level forms (response quota, ability to distribute as PDF, email reciepts and notifications etc).
Here are the instructions for sharing your forms: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462
Thanks,
Josh

  • One account - two users ?

    Hi
I've been a mac user for 18 months and almost from the start, I have used an external HD to boot from, seeing how slow the 4200 RPM internal HD is.
I have just noticed something that really confuses me, though. Even if I only have one account created, "memyself&I" it looks like there is one user on each drive. If I create a new file/folder in my regular external drive user account, it will not show if for some reason, I decide to boot from the internal drive and vice-versa.
That wouldn't be so bad except I seem to have noticed that some apps (like Connect360) seem to ignore the external drive's user and only look at the internal drive's user account for data/settings.
Can anyone shed some light on this ? Would it be easier to forget the external HD and suffer the turtle effects of the internal drive or is there a way to easily manage the situation.
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply.
Does your answer mean that I could have Tiger installed on my external drive and Panther or better yet, Leopard installed on my internal drive, both with "memyself&I", as a user ?
That could be interesting when a new OS comes out and you're not sure you will like it or simply want to to keep the "old" one, for a while.

  • Best practices for one account's users to get new accounts?

After eight years of sharing my iTunes account, my kids are moving out into the real world.  How would/should they get their "own" iTunes accounts?  They will want to buy their own music with their own money (without Dad's payment info) but of course want to be able to continue to play all the music they've bought over the years on my account.  What is the best way to accomplish this?

Well, I've been trying this for a while. By my calculations, at this rate, installing all the applications one by one and trying to restore all the data manually will take me about six years. I would finished just in time for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The main problem is, I don't know where all the bodies are buried. Just one example, I'm using Cornerstone for an svn client. I have working copies of multiple repositories on my computer. I really don't want to set them all up again, and I can't figure out where the Cornerstone preferences and all settings are stored. I couldn't find them in the Library anywhere.
    And that's just one case.
I haven't done much with my MacBook Pro yet, I think in retrospect the easiest course of action is to reinstall OS X as though it were new MacBook Pro, start from scratch, and use my Time Machine backup with the migration assistant and go from there.
And that's what I'm doing right now. I'm in the middle of reinstalling OS X.
Afterwords I'll use a clean app uninstaller application to get rid of all the applications that I'm not using. And I'll just hack away at directories that I know I haven't looked at for years, with the confidence that I have a backup both in Time Machine and in CCC and also on my iMac. That's three backups.
I would rather start out "light", but I can see it's just going to take forever and a day to get it done. Anyway, fortunately nothing is carved in stone, and I can always try again if I want to. But dealing with all the documents and all the applications one by one separately was just obviously going to take too much time.
I'll report back on my results. And I appreciate your suggestion.

  • Multiple users/gift cards on one account

I have what I would imagine to be a common scenario but not sure how to handle. Before yesterday, we had one teenager using the home PC on a iTunes account linked to our CC for any purchases she needed to pay us back for. We now have 2 more teenagers who need to do the same with their new iPods and all 3 kids have gift cards. How do we ensure they can all use their gift cards separately, but still link any additional purchases back to our common account linked to our CC? I have seen several posts about how to use multiple iPods on the same PC but not how to manage iTunes accounts in relation to multiple gift cards and a common iTunes account for billing purposes which should be common. I want to make sure I set this up properly from the start so any aasistance is appreciated.

I would suggst creating a new iTunes accounts for each user using their own gift cards. You don't need a CC if you use a gift card.
Go to the iTunes store screen and click Redeem at the top right under *Quick Links*.
Enter the gift card number then select *Create new account*. At the CC details scene, select None.
but still link any additional purchases back to our common account linked to our CC?
You cannot. They can all be on the some computer.
Any gift cards put onto a single iTunes store account are put into that one account. Anything purchased by anyone will be deducted from the total.

It is not possible to create a new iCloud account using a Windows machine. You must create the account using a Mac (10.7.5 or more) or an IOS device (iPhone etc). Once that is done you can sign into and use the account on your Windows machine.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

  • Multiple users using One account and issue making calls to 1-800-###...

We have 15 volunteers who are using One account we set up for them. They login at the same time and need to make 1-800 calls (same number) concurrently. Right now, when you start pressing 800 all of sudden the display goes blank (cx300) and can't even finish
entering the number. We have Lync 2010 and 2013 running together and most services moved to Lync 2013. Before we introduced Lync 2013 we did have this problem, but only intermittently. Now with Lync2013 it is consistent issue.
    What settings do I change?
Do I need to create more accounts and assign Lync #s respectively?

    Hi,
Would you please tell us what did you do with this scenario?
Please check if there is any error message from Mediation Server and FE Server when the issue happen.
Check if it is a performance issue, you can test to login the same Lync account with two users, make call concurrently. If it works work, it may be a performance issue.
The best way is to create more account and assign to these users.

  • I have three user accounts on one computer. On only one account when I when I check Help - About fire fox only one user account says apply update and won't apply. The other two work fine.

One of three user accounts on the same computer appears to not be updating to 8.0.1 correctly. One admin and one none admin user account says it is up-to-date. The other non-admin user account, under Help About Firefox says apply update, but won't.

As long as you installed MS Office into its default location (the top level /Applications folder) it will be available to all user accounts on the Mac.
As far as licensing is concerned you only have to enter the license code once, which you should do right after installing MS Office, in the same admin account you installed it from, by opening any one of the MS Office applications.  There is no additional licensing required for additional user accounts on the same Mac.
Each user account is able to run the Office apps.  The only thing you will have to do is go through an initial setup screen in each user account (but this setup does NOT involve entering any additional license codes).
You may have problems if you installed MS Office in a particular user account (i.e. NOT in the top level /Applications folder).

  • How to transfer user settings from one account to another (on the same Mac)

I'd like to create separate user accounts for "work" and "play" (so that I can do things like have separate address books, etc...). However, I already have LOTS of personalized settings (trackpad behavior, login items, etc) that I'd like to keep the same between the two accounts.
Is there a way to transfer all of the user settings from one account to another?

You'll need to copy your /Home/Library folder. Make sure you back up first before doing the following. Log out of both your Work and Play accounts. Log in to a third account with administrator privileges. Assuming you are copying from the account called "work" to the account called "play", enter the following in Terminal:
sudo rm -rf ~play/Library (this deletes Play's Library folder.)
sudo cp -R ~work/Library ~play/Library (this copies Work's Library folder to Play's folder.)
sudo chown -R play ~play/Library (this fixes permissions of Play's new Library folder.)

Can I use iCloud to since many users to one account for my business and have me as a administrator to oversee and change my employees calendars and contacts??

Go to System Preferences and click Sign Out, select Delete at all the prompts, then sign back in with the changed ID?   (Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out and choose Delete, but will still be in iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account your data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in.)

  • How to use just one account in the domain to login to the right server having access to the right resources. Even when a user works on 4 different sites ...

We have one domain with about 36 sites.  On the sites we use (2008R2 / 2012R2) RODC's .
    All workstations have Windows 7.
Some users work on several sites. We want the user to just be able to use one account and the environment to see on which site the user logs in, so the right script can be loaded and the appropiate resources like data and printers are available.
We have several users working on 4 sites (different schools) doing their work fot that specific site overthere.
I want the system to see where a user logs in  (can be on IP address), so we can give the users just one account that will work as it should.
I like to get some ideas or advise on how to get it done.
    Thanks,
    Ben.

Use Group Policy Objects and link them to your sites as appropriate...

iCloud should still help you reduce some hard drive space. Just select "optimize" in the icloud tab in Mac Photo App preferences.
Granted, not the same as completely offloading your library to a back-up drive at your location.
    Good Luck!
