One album shows up twice

I uploaded on my itune onece, but it shows up on my itouch twice.. same album... i don't know how to get rid of second one from the music on my itouch.. it doesn't show up on the computer..

Alternatively there may have been a syncing issue which left orhpaned entries in the iPods database. Try swiping across the album and deleting both copies, then resyncing.

Email from *one sender* shows up twice (but isn't delivered twice)

Today the emails from one particular sender started showing up twice in the view pane of Mac Mail. They aren't delivered twice - just show up as though two copies have come in. If I delete one copy then both disappear.
There is nothing special about this particular sender - she is not a "VIP". We have been corresponding for several weeks without anything odd happening.
I'm running 10.9.5 on my MBP and use POP accounts in Mail. The account to which she is using to contact me is via my personally-owned domain. I receive hundreds of emails on a daily basis to that email address and have no issues with other senders. She is using her personally-owned domain for email as well.
Any ideas on what is happening?
For what it's worth, since upgrading to this OS Google Chrome - particularly when using Facebook or performing Google searches - has slowed dramatically. I'll address that in a separate post but thought it was worth mentioning here in case it's related.

Why are albums showing up twice as partial albums?

I have noticed that some albums, when transferred to the iPod, show up twice, but with a couple of songs in one entry and the rest of the songs in the other entry. I've checked all the metadata, and everything matches. I've removed the album from the iPod and reloaded it, and the same thing happened. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

See Grouping tracks into albums. For a classic either every track from the same album needs the same Artist or the album must be marked as a Part of compilation and compilations must be enabled within the classic's menus. There also needs to be absolute consistency with spelling & capitalization in both primary and sort fields.

Why does my music from one album show up as two separate albums: one with all the songs in it, and another with two or three. Why is it that when i delete the incomplete album it takes the same songs out of the complete album also?

When I first imported music from my CDs onto my iTunes library, all the songs appeared, but those with the album artist and guest/additional artists they appeared in their own album under the same album name. After searching through iTunes help and support, I learned how to put all the songs under the same album (part of a compalition) and add the additional songs information, artwork, lyrics, etc. After getting all the music (imported from my CDs) onto the iTunes library and in their album. I synced my music onto my iPhone. (My iPhone is a 3GS)
Once the music was on my iPhone i noticed that the albums appeared in 2s again. One was the complete album with all the songs, song info, etc. together (solo tracks and/or one with multiple artists) and another album of the same name, artwork, etc. with 2-4 of the songs from that album. Since all I saw need for was to have the completed album on my iPhone, I deleted the album with only 2-4 of the songs. When I went back and selected the completed album, all the songs I had deleted from the incomplete album were also deleted from the completed album too! I just couldn't figure out why it did that and my my friends with iPods and iPhones said they didn't know what caused it either. So now I'm here with the idea how to fix this problem.
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please reply. It will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure why this happens, but I found a workaround. Below the album title it will list the artist(s). The issue seems to happen when there are multiple artists. For example, an Album titled "Over the Sea to Skye" has The Chieftains and James Galway as artists. Some tracks (for whatever reason) will list only one of these and result in the playlist showing what appears to be multiple albums. You can click on the artists and it will highlight. Paste in what is appearing on the other "albums" and it will then show as one:
Hope that is somewhat clear enough to help. Doesn't fix whatever the issue is but it is a workaround. For me this is only happening with CD's that I have imported.

One computer showing up twice

I have network magic pro 5.0 with a wrt160n v3 router.on my network .I am using windows 7.One of my computers is showing up on the map twice,once as laptop second as workstation.The workstation is coming up as not having network magic installed causing an alert.How can I delete the workstation from the network?

How to make one album show up for multiple artists?

I'd like some albums to show up under multiple artists in iTunes in Windows. Say for example "The Basement Tapes" by Bob Dylan and The Band. It would be nice to see this album under both these artists. Or to have "Two Men With the Blues" show up under both Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis. Can I do that with iTues? If so I haven't figured out how. It would be nice if using a delimiter such as as comma, slash of semi-colon would signify to iTunes that it should lists those songs under all artists but it doesn't. At least commas didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

iTunes doesn't have the ability to do what you want, i.e. to define multiple separated values in a field and then have the item show up when looking at a selection based on each of those values. "Bob Dylan", "The Band" and "Bob Dylan & The Band" are three distinct values that can't be linked together. Sort values can change where in a list things are displayed but shouldn't be used to attempt to merge different values as results are undefined and unpredictable.

One Album Showing up In Multiple Ways

When I import certain CD's in iTunes, It will split the CD as two album fronts in CoverFlow view. I change the album artist to the sames on all 14 tracks and it still doesn not work. Can someone help.

Duplicate albums showing after set-up iTMatch - how do I hide?

I have a 900 album itunes collection, which is used to play out over a Sonos set-up made up of appox 20% purchased from iTunes and 80% encoded into ALAC format (Apple Lossless). When I turned on iTunes Match I have a huge number of Albums that are appearing twice in my iTunes library. There seems to be no discernable differemnce in the Meta-Data on the albums but the "iTunes Match" version is showing at the lower bitrate along side the Lossless version. How do have only one album showing. I have to say the published information around this is not great!

How did you get the duplicates? Match does not create duplicates from your library. Your library is scanned and at the end of the process, your tracks will show an iCloud status of Matched, uploaded, purchased or ineligible.
What is the iCloud status for duplicate tracks. Do any of the tracks have download icon in the cloud column? Do they appear as duplicates on your iOS device?
Where is your library - on computer or external drive?

Compilations: Can you show just one album cover with mixes/compiations?

Using the current iTunes (11.01) is a misery. I have numerous mix discs and compilations, and for each title eg Royksopp's BACK TO MINE mix, there are about 15 tiles of the album, one for each song. In extreme cases, there may be over 100. Since I have God knows how many songs, easily in the tens of thousands, this is an extremely inefficient way to display my collection.
Is there any way to display albums with just the one album cover and title showing each time? THis is ridiculous.

I transfered my purchases from my iphone to my mac. All transfers completed. One particular album shows up on the phone but the songs are greyed out and don't play. Itunes shows album as purchased but album is not in my Mac library.

So i've found the answer to this by clicking on every menu and setting in the itunes store. It turns out some purchases in the cloud can be hidden probably as the result of an interrupted transfer/sync/backup or a network outage. To unhide purchases 'greyed out ' items , go to the Itunes store (on the PC) click on your account name and select view account. (you'll be prompted for your itunes password) once you are in scroll down to the purchase history section. there should be an option for hidden purchases. click through and click on unhide purchases, redownloadble purchases. any hidden purchases will then show up. click on unhide to reactivate and download. This may only work for purchases in the cloud.

I have added an album to my itunes library, put it in a playlist all on my computer, but when I sync my ipad to the computer, the new album doesn't show up on my ipad playlist. Everything else is on there but this one album.

I have downloaded an album in to my iTunes library. And put it in a playlist on my computer.
But I can't get it to sync with my iPad. The other albums and songs are on the playlist, but not this one album for some reason.
The album shows up on my iPad as an album just fine, but isn't included in the playlist like it is on my computer.

Thank you for the question. It sounds like you would like to delete some songs off of your iPad. I have a couple of suggestions.
First, I recommend swiping the individual songs on the album to get the delete option:
Remove a song that’s been downloaded. Swipe left, then tap Delete.
If the you are not getting a delete option and song has a cloud icon to the right of it, this indicates the song is being streamed from iTunes in the Cloud.
You can choose to hide all songs that are not downloaded on to your iPad in Settings:
Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.

Alternatively, if the song was purchased from iTunes, you can hide the song by accessing the iTunes Store on the computer:
To hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking on Music, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from top.
Hover your cursor over the item you want to hide.
You will see an "X" either to the right or left top corner of the item.
Click the "X" to hide that item. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the "X."

How can I display a compilation album as one album rather than as separate songs? (each different artist shows with the same album art)

I want a compilation album, consisting of different artists, to all be included within the one album folder. Currently when scrolling through my ipod classic each artist has its own album folder, even though they originate from the same album e.g. "The Best Rock 'n' Roll Album in the World Ever" consists of two discs (50 songs). Each artist's song shows as a 'separate album' of one song, each with the same album artwork. I want all of those on Disc 1 to be under one album cover and similarly for those on Disc 2.

Select all the tracks on disc 1 and via Get Info, change the Album Artist to Various Artists and turn on the compilation flag. This is iTunes 12:

Is this one of those CDs where the main artist asks their friend to sing a song with them?
Such as, Slash's new album. Track 1 is "Slash Feat. Ian Astbury", track 2 is "Slash Feat. Ozzy Osbourne" and so on.
To fix this, select all the tracks on that album, right-click > Get Info, and say YES to changing multiple items.
Put "Slash" in the *Album Artist* field (for this example, of course).
Make sure it is the *Album Artist* field, not the plain Artist field.

It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

Change the album title to AlbumX, apply, then change back to Album. Repeat as necessary.
