One App Two iPhones Different iTunes Accounts
I currently have an iPhone 5 and I will be upgrading to an iPhone 6. I'm going give the iPhone 5 to my brother. I purchased a TomTom Navigation App and I want the App to be available on both phones but managed through different iTunes accounts. How should I go about doing this, if possible?
If it isn't possible to do this because the App is linked to my iTunes account, can I, instead, manage my iTunes account on multiple computers? Or is it that one computer can handle multiple devices?

Suppose I authorize another computer to use my current iPhone 5 and sync apps to that computer. Then I get my iPhone 6 and sync my apps to this new phone. Then I change the apple ID on one of the two computers. Would leave the installed apps on both devices? I don't have the new iPhone yet as I'm waiting to get an unlocked GSM version directly from Apple so I can't try this right away.

How do updates work if you download Apps with 2 different itunes accounts?
I am wondering what will happen when Apps need to be updated and they have been purchased on the same iPad but with two different iTunes accounts?
One person is signed in and purchases Apps and then signs out. The other person signs in and make purchases with another account.
When updates are available, you are asked to put in a password. Does it matter which password is used??

PreaYour purchases are linked to your own iTunes account so in order to update you would have to log in with the one account to update the apps purchased from that account, sign out, then sign in with the second account in order to update those apps purchased with the second account.
Yes it matters which password you use. Separate accounts will require separate passwords in order to sign in and update apps.

Business with multiple iPhones different iTunes account users
Hello, My office has a difficult situation and I'm hoping you can help.ANY advice or pointers are appreciated. Here's the situation:
We are a small sales office with about 5 employees. My franchise owners have supplied iPhones to each rep. We recently had 2 reps quit. They gave back their iPhones but we can't get the contacts off of them since they are registered to those reps' personal iTunes accounts. I need a new iPhone but they're waiting to get me one until they get the following situation figured out to prevent this problem in the future...
How do we get the contacts off of the iPhones and into one central iTunes account?
If we need the usernames and passwords (like I suspect) then will we be able to grab the contacts and copy them to one central computer? Then they can change their passwords and have that computer deauthorized?
Is there a special way we should set up a new iPhone to prevent this frombeing an issue again?
Anything else we should be aware of?

After the account is added go into Settings>Mails,Contacts, Calendars and scroll down to the bottom and select Import Sim Contacts. You can then import these into the email account

Two iPhones, 1 iTunes account, 2 iCloud accounts - still getting duplicate texts

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4, my husband has an iPhone 3 and has finally updated his software to iOS 6.1.4 as well (he hadn't updated it since he bought it years ago). We have the problem of duplicate text messages - my phone now thinks its his phone (ie I've lost my contacts, but have all of his) and when I send him a text, he gets it but so do I. It also comes up on our iPad. I thought it was perhaps an iCloud account issue so made a second iCloud account and logged into that on my phone but it hasn't helped.
The duplicate messages are driving me crazy - how do I stop them?

Sarah.I have the same question. My daughter and I share an apple account which is fine, but now I am getting some of her texts and each time I send her one I get a duplicate? I thought I messed this up when we tried to Facetime each other and I have deleted all those options. How do I fix it so I have my own texts and she has her own texts, I don't get duplicate texts but she can still access our I tunes account? Please help

my mom somehow ended up with two totally different iTunes accounts, based on an old (dead) email address and a newer one as well. She's bought a lot of music on both accounts over time... is there some way to merge the old account into her newer one?

Can I move games from one iPhone to Another on different iTunes accounts?
We bought my daughter an iPhone 5C for christmas. Up until now she has been sharing my iTunes account as she was using my old phone.
This has meant that when she or I bought a new app, it automatically showed up on the others phone. (I know that this can be turned off) We decided that we would create a new iTunes account for her when we got the new phone.
I just assumed that this would mean we would need to repurchase all her Apps. She is a bit sad about this as it means rebuilding all her little Sims worlds and losing her high scores etc.
So, is there anyway that the Apps or at least the games content from her old phone can be transferred to the new one even though they are now on different iTunes accounts? We share the same iCloud (so I can track here phone from mine)
I don't think so - but she is adamant that it can be done - so I thought I would check.

We have one imac, two iphones, two imac/iphone user accounts. My account updated itunes and the phone quite easily. The other side will not update itunes - it shows there is an update available, then says there is not. I tried installing from the apple store. It installed, but did not change the version of itunes active on the computer (we even turned it off and on, a la Windows). SO we synced his phone with my side - it updated the OS, but otherwise restored the phone to factory settings. (he is not happy). So I tried to restore it from a backup on his side just to see what would happen, and of course it can't because the phone's software is more current that his itunes.
So we're in a maddening loop. Factory settings, no updated itunes, no access to the backups.The feed is fine. The problem lies with the URL for the media files. I checked the latest episode; the file will play in a browser, and as you say on the iTunes Store; but when subscribing there is an error message that the file requires authentication.
This would happen if you had password-protected it, but that would also appear when playing in a browser. The use of PHP or similar to serve the files is asking for trouble - sometimes it works, sometimes it upsets either the Store or subscribing or both. In this case it would seem that either the scripting is throwing iTunes and leading it to believe that a password is required (though it's not bringing up the pane asking for one), or your server is reacting differently to requests from the iTunes application to the way it reacts to requests from the Store or a browser, where the protocol is different.
It's not an iTunes problem. Strictly you should be putting the actual URL of the file in the feed, not a script; and you may need to check your server settings top make sure it allows downloading in iTunes as well as playing elsewhere. -
i have 3 different itunes accounts and would like to combine them into just one for all my devices, a macbook pro, an iphone 4S, an older IPOD, and a ver sion one Ipad. how can i do this on all devices ?
i had one for a long time, then when i got the ipad i didn't realize they would all still work under one so i set up the second one on that
then when i got the new iphone i put in the info for the first and main one from my mac pro and it would not work at all, and i knew it was right, then it asked me to create a new one or i couldnt finish the setup
hence why i have 3 now
hard to believe you cannot combine into one
oh well, i will just make them all accessible for all 3

We have 6 ipods and 1 iphone in our house. We have different itunes accounts. We use one computer. How can we share each others music? I moved everybodies itunes media folder to the public music folder but when I open itunes I only see that accounts music. We need different itunes accounts. We share 1 computer but we have different user accounts on the computer.
Adding media directly to the media folder does not make it appear in the library. iTunes doesn't really 'look' at that folder except to go to specific files when you call upon them from a library. You have to drag new content to each user's library, that is assuming each user has their own library.

I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first.
