One channel jumping on only one box

I stated earlier about my problem with the box that won't activate, but I actually noticed something even more weird. One channel in my area, channel 3 (WSBK) has a very jumpy picture on the other new box that is active. It's on this box only. Has this ever happened before? Now I'm starting to see all the problems that come with FiOS. I'm wondering if I should go back to Comcast. How much is the cancellation fee?

Since you didn't have boxes installed at those locations they were never tested. Maybe something is wrong with the line. Your other box just needs to be hooked up and activated and it will work.

40SL500U - Tuning one QAM channel jumps to another QAM channel

My cable company is Armstrong Utilities. I have 3 TVs, none with a set top box.
I used to get these HDTV 720p channels on all 3 TVs: 128-1, 128-3, 128-5, 128-6
Recently channel 128-5 moved to 68-5. I can no longer tune any 128 sub channel. Tuning any 128 channel jumps to 68-5.
When I go into setup and manually tune 128 it shows one channel: 68.5. 68.5 in now ratio 4:3 and 480i resolution.
On my other two TVs I can tune 128-1, 128-3, 128-6 and they are 720p and 16:9. 68-5 is 4:3 and 480i.
When I display the info on my ViewSonic TV it shows: "68-5 E1_5 WQ". The station is WQED and I think that's where the "WQ" comes from.
Attached is a scan done on my PC TV tuner.
So, I can not tune any subchannel on channel 128.

More information in the attached photo of the Manual Tuning screen. In the upper right corner in the green you can see that I entered channel 128 and then pressed OK to scan. The only channel found is 68. My other 2 TV tuners find 4 subchannels on 128.

Safari, iTunes, software update iCal not connecting. Firefox is fine. Tried Proxies, but not sure what to do there. Only one box was checked, I unchecked it, and made no difference. Have also tried some other DNS numbers, nothing worked yet.

I have found some archieved discussions about this, but none that went into detail about how to fix problem using proxies - I don't really understand what they are/ do.
I went into the Proxies screen, Only one box was checked, "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" I unchecked it, and made no difference. There was also some stuff written in the "Bypass proxy settings for these hosts and domains" I deleated that and nothing different happened. Have also tried some other DNS numbers, nothing worked yet.
Any suggestions?

I still have no idea what was wrong with Safari last week, but I opened it today, and its all working! Hurrah!

Multiple versions on one box

Could someone help me with the below questions.
We have multiple MaxDB databases running on one box for EC and BW. There is a requirement to upgrade the BW database software, to do this do I have to upgrade the other databases on the box? Though my OS is Linux, I would also like to know the possibilities in windows environement.
If we can have multiple versions of databases on one box, are there any known problems. If the database version are different, how does the common services or executables work (eg:- I understand that there is only on XSERVER per box) and which folders are updated (is it only "database_dependent_path" or "independent_program_path" as well)?

1. "Do I have to upgrade the other databases on the box?" -- It depends on your software and instance setup. If the multiple instances are installed under different directories. For e.g., the two instances 773 and 763 are installed under different directories on my PC:

If the EC and BW instances are installed under different directories, you can upgrade them independently of each other. This behavior is similar on all OS.
2. There are no known problems running multiple versions of databases on one box. When you update one instance, the database_dependent_path is updated. If the independent_program_path contains programs of an older version or build, it is updated as well.

If you are using extended classic scenario you can simply delete the line items in the PO within SRM. This will replicate the appropriate changes in the backend.
You won't be able to change the PO in the backend as this is standard functionality.
You can also archive SRM PO incase you don't want to delete the same
PO Archiving
Once the purchase order is ordered and issued, it is a legal document between your company and the vendor. Only PO line items can be deleted and you can not delete PO header.
Deleting line item of PO is not enough. Make sure that PR or SC history does not contain any follow on document else system will interpret this a close PR or SC.
Because the PO was already printed or output exist... You cannot delete PO header.
Once the PO has been issued to vendor in any form, deletion is not possible at the header level, only possibility is deleting line items of the PO (deletion indicator marked for all the line items of PO). Only when the PO is rejected by the approver (in case any, which will be in the 'release rejected' status) or in held state (before issued to vendor), PO can be deleted at the header level, as the data still exists in SRM and not get transferred to R3 backend. If you want to forcibly delete the PO at the header level, flag DOC_CLOSED field in the table BBP_PDHGP (header tabe) through BBP_PD for the respective PO.
Try using the Function Modules "BBP_PD_PO_DB_DELETE".

Problem with one box

One box in my house is not getting all channels and other channels are digitized. All other boxes are fine. Rebooting does not help. Ideas?

Could be a problem with the connection. Make sure everything is tight both at box and at splitter.
If that doesn't help, swap the boxes around. If problem follws, you have a bad box, if not, still a problem with that coax run. Could also try swapping ports on the splitter.

Maintenance Wizard Installation on more than one box.

Hi,
We are in the process of installing the Maintenance Wizard, to help us on our EBusiness upgrade. As a current, policy we avoid installing App server and database on the same machine (it also applies for MW installation).
The only part where something similar is mentioned is on the FAQ. But I'm not sure if the installation is supported having one box for the database and one box for the App server. Can anyone help me on this topic?

I am doing an assignment for a summer class online. This summer class requires us to use Adobe Reader to fill out some questions that involve tables and typing. One of the tables is structured in such a way that we must fill in each row with pertinent information relating to the case that we negotiated. The problem is, whenever I fill in a box in a certain row, it will fill in every single box in that same column with the information that I had typed in only one box. Can anyone help me figure out the problem here?

If I had to guess I would say that the person that created the fields made the first one then copy/pased the addtional fields and did not change the field names. All fields with the same names will auto-fill.

Multiple Instance of XI in one BOX ?

Hi All,
Is it possible to install two instances of XI (say DEV and QA environment) in one box.I understand for the abap stack we can use different system numbers for different environment.For the java stack,the port would then include the system number thus allowing multiple instances.
Has anyone tried this ,does it work?

I am not sure it could works because you can only connect one J2EE stack to one ABAP client.
In your case you need 1 J2EE Engine for each client -> So 2 J2EE Engine.
I am not sure you can install 2 JAVA Addin for one ABAP Stack !!??

Can Oracle DB and AS be installed on one box

When I installed Oracle 11g on my machine, everything worked fine. But after I installed OAS 10.1.3.3 on the same box, the TNSListener cannot be startup with the following error:
"The OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."
I tried to delete and recreate the listener, but it doesn't help. And when I tried to start the listener using the command "lsnrctl start", I found another listener named Oracleoracleas1TNSListener was generated in Services and I don't know how to remove it.
I am thinking maybe Oracle DB and AS should not be installed on one box. Can anyone who ran into the same issue and knew the solution help me on this?

1) The best is to do the test. In my case, my customer was just doing this transfer (in full) to perform tests on the BEX reportings. Actually, they never raised any issue regarding document number when they did additional postings in test system... I would also say that during the transfer, the number counter in Qual gets not synchronized with the one in Prod. So, I think the system will just take the next number available in Qual. Should not be an issue.
2) As explained in answer 1), in my case, the purpose was not to perform data migration from one system to the other one. Thus, my customer never performed a subsequent consolidation in the target system. But, basically, the transfer copies all data : posting levels 00 to 30, for all periods you have selected + Additional financial data and sequence of activities. Thus, for me, everyhting is available in the target system, including COI documents. In other words, the "picture" regarding the data should be exactly the same between both system. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the customizing : it must be the same in Qual and Prod (example : date of acquisition and divestiture, structure of the group, etc...).
Another very important thing, is that your export data source must not be enriched due to the BCS Delta load scenario. If it is the case, the system will write the consolidation logic (i-e the consolidation group + reporting mode) when transferring the data from the source Real Time Infocube to the Target Real time infocube, which will lead to inconsistent data in the target system.

Call customer-subscreen causes dump in one box but not in another box

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone here encountered this situation before and knows of any explanation or solution.
There's two development boxes with a program that contains the following code/statement:
call customer-subscreen SSCR903 including 'SAPLXXXXXX' '2000'
SAPLXXXXXX happens to not exist in both boxes. In the first box, when execution reaches that statement above it will generate a dump saying that 'SAPLXXXXXX doesn't exist'. But in the second box, when execution reaches that statement above it won't generate a dump and execution continues to the next statement in the program.
I checked SAP documentation on the CALL CUSTOMER-SUBSCREEN keywords, but I didn't find anything that would explain why it dumps in the first box, but not in the second one.
Anyone encountered the same situation before? Any explanation why it's dumping in one box, but not in the other box?

Abap doesn't check existence of the dynpro, it only check activation of the exit in CMOD, that may explain the, difference.

SCCM and SCOM 2012 R2 Databases on one box

Our current situation is: About 150 Servers(VMware) and 600 windows 7 clients.
SCCM 2007 and SQL 2008 on one box, and for SCOM 2007 we have a dedicated SQL2005 VM. All of them on W2K3R2 OS.
Because of end of support for W2K3, we are not going to upgrade the servers.
New situation is SCCM and SCOM 2012 R2 with SQL 2014 on W2k12R2. I'm considering to install one SQL 2014 server only for SCOM and SCCM. Would performance be an issue??

MacBook accepted my entire music collection except for one boxed set.

I downloaded my entire music collection to iTunes on my new MacBook with the exception of one boxed set. I tried the set at my daughter's house and it downloaded there just fine so I put it on my iPod but now when I sync it back at home I'll lose it since it's just a one-way street! Mac to iPod, never iPod to Mac. Is there a fix? Why won't my computer accept this one and only boxed set? (I have a huge collection and this is the only set it has happened with.)

Make sure if it's from a CD, it must either go to AAC or MP3 in order to work on iTunes. WMA, OGG and etc. formats will not work.

How to move CRM_UI_FRAME component from one box to another box

Need help about this task.
Background:
- CRM Dev Box
- CRM QC Box
- CRM Prod Box
Problem:
- CRM_UI_FRAME component on the QC Box is not working properly. When we are going to the BSP Workbench, an error comes out that there is an unclosed tag; '>' or '/>' expected entity: "<<document>>" Offset : 0000003376 Error Severity: error.
- BSPWD_BASICS/WorkAreaHostViewSet is not loaded
- This problem never occurs on both Dev and Prod Box
Our Solution:
- To copy the whole CRM_UI_FRAME component from Dev to QC
Our Question
- Is the solution possible?
- If it is, how could we transfer/copy the whole CRM_UI_FRAME or any component from one box to another box
- Could we just attach this to a transport? Or is this a BASIS task?
- Other suggestions on how to do this?
