One Computer - 2 iCloud accounts

I am buying a new man mini for a home computer that both my wife and I will share.  We currently each have our own Macbooks and our own seperate iCloud accounts set up.  My question is whether we can have 2 iCloud accounts setup on the new mac mini so that we can keep our calendars and contacts seperate while sharing the same computer.  Ideally, we would be able to associate an iCloud account with a specific login on the Mac so we could simply switch users on the Mac in order to see our own calendars, contacts, mail, etc.  I am trying to find out how this setup will work before I dive in and make any drastic changes.  Is this setup possible?
Thanks,
jake

If this is an iCloud address in an account which is different from the primary account in a user account you can add it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars.
Of course if it's another ISP's account you just add it in the Mail application in the usual way. Note that if it's a POP account you need to set it to leave mail on the server for a period.

I have downloaded icloud onto my PC. When I try to access my account I am told that although my Apple ID and password are correct they are not the right ones for the icloud account. How can I find out what these are?

Oh, then you can't unless you know someone with a Mac you could use for a moment or 2. (Like at the Apple Store)

  • HT204053 How does one open an ICloud account? I do have a valid an Apple ID. Please Help

How does one open an Icloud Account?

You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher.  You do this by going to Settings>iCloud (on an iOS device) or System Preferences>iCloud (on a Mac) and signing in with your Apple ID.
Once you create your account you will then be able to sign into the account using the ID on your PC.

  • How to move a mailbox from "on my mac" to one of my iCloud accounts

Can I move a mailbox from "on my mac" to one of my iCloud accounts - I find that I need to access this particular mailbox from my phone or iPad from time to time.  I tried dragging it down to that account out of on my mac, it auto-scrolled down to the account, but when I let it go to put it where I wanted it - it just reverted back to on my mac...  Any suggestions?  thnx.

Right click the mailbox, select Copy To, select a destination for it.
Moving data over the internet takes time, be patient, when it's completed delete the originals.
It's safer just to move the content, I would create a new iCloud mailbox with the same name and copy the contents in batches of 50 to 100 at a time. Then delete the originals.

  • Multiple IDs+One Computer=Wrong phone account.

So, there are 3 of us in my house who have iPhones and we use one computer which means the same iTunes pops up everytime time we plug in our phone. But sometimes after unplugging our phones from the computer and we try to download an app on our phone it says one of the other Apple IDs that isn't mine. How do I get my Apple ID back on my phone?

Your Apple ID is on your phone unless you actually signed out of it on the phone or restored it from one of the other devices backups.
The issue is that content linked to one of the other accounts has been synced to your device.
You really should read this article about how to manage multiple devices on a single computer.  Doing so with the same iTunes library under a single login is not an ideal choice.

  • I just got an email saying one of my iCloud accounts is full, but didn't tell me which one

I have a family that uses one iTunes account, but four iCloud accounts (from old mobile me accounts). I got an email on the iTunes account saying one of them was full, which probably means I didn't get one device setup correctly with the common iTunes account for the store, and the individual iCloud account for personal backups, etc
How can I see which device is registered to the iTunes account for its iCloud (instead of the old mobile me account) without logging into each device?
Is there any way for me to monitor four separate iCloud accounts (space utilization) to see if anyone needs cleaning up. As the family sysadmin, I don't want to find out later someone's space ran over and they haven't been backup up in months.

Here are more details. The email that's not working says, "password rejected for security reasons, please sign in to reset password". I've reset the password numerous times (not at once but I wait a couple days to change it) and it's still rejecting each new one. I signed in to iCloud.com and in my Advanced Settings I "Reset Documents and Data". iCloud does not show any of my email devices (I have a Macbook Pro, iPhone & iPad). iCloud says if my devices aren't showing I must be signed in to iOS 8 or OS X which I am. I'm receiving all email except for the one email account. It is a secondary iCloud account, me.com. After doing the resets, restarting my Mac, the email account is STILL telling me I have to reset the password, which is where I'm stuck. Also, my AppleID/iCloud email is a valid gmail account I've been using for 5 years.

  • One computer, 2 iTunes accounts

Many hours spent trying to figure this out. We have one computer with internet access. I already have an iTunes account and have used it often. Another member of the family who has access to the same computer, wants a separte LIBRARY. I have opened 2 accounts...my original and then a yahoo for 2nd person. But even when I sign in under the new yahoo account, it brings up my original libary list which we do not what to sync with the new iPOD.
New iPOD wants his own library to come up when he uses my computer but his Apple Id and password. Any suggestions??

    Hi, suemach.
I'm not sure if I understand your situation precisely but it sounds like you're both using the same Windows XP User Account.
If that's correct, have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base and let us know if it brings you any combination of joy and/or satisfaction.

  • ITunes 9.0 home sharing with one computer with two accounts

is it possible to use the home share option using only one computer that has two iTunes accounts on it? i used the same user account for both accounts as stated but can not access the files. any info is appreciated.

You can set up Home Sharing to copy media from iTunes on one computer to iTunes on another computer, you will need to log in with the same iTunes Store account on both machin. Have a look at this article for more info
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3819
If however you want to move the entire iTunes library from one machine to another, then using Home Sharing is not the most efficient way.
    does this answer your question?

  • One PC, two iCloud accounts and photo stream...

I have the feeling I know what the answer is going to be to this question, but figured I'd ask just in case. So, my wife and I have an iPhone each and both need the ability to auto-upload photos from our phones to our (single) laptop without having to plug in and manually transfer them. I love the auto upload feature with iCloud, but as only one of us can be logged in to iCloud on the lap top at a time, it doesn't seem to work for us.
    Is there a way to:
    1. Sync photos taken by different iPhones/iCloud accounts to the same PC simultaneously?
    2. Back up/auto upload photos from different iPhones automatically to our PC any other way?
    Many thanks!

well, the simplest thing you can do is to go to settings - mail, contacts, calendars, click add account and then select iCoud. After you enter username and pass, you have to select that you want your calendar to be used on that adress.
EDIT: on this list, just select calendars

  • Iphone 4s + 3g one itune, two iclouds accounts?

My daughter and I are going to share the itune account.  She already set up icloud for her 3g under our itune account user name.  I just purchased the iphone 4s, can we share the same icloud user name for both phones, or should I create my own icloud user name and if so, how do I do that, since we are sharing itune user name.
    thank for your help.

Go to Settings>iCloud and set up a separate iCloud account on each phone using a separate Apple ID.  Do the same for iMessage and FaceTime.  Share the same Apple ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores (or Settings>Store in iOS 5).
If you've already set up the same iCloud account on both phones, on one of the phones go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account (you will be given the option to keep the data on the phone), then set up a different account.  (Deleteing the account only deletes if from the phone, not from iCloud.  The other phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)

  • One of my iCloud accounts can't get mail

I have 2 iCloud accounts, with Mail.app on my Mac configured to check them both from my main user account. The primary email address is fine. The other one has problems. It used to be a Mac.com additional address (not an alias), the kind that used to cost $10 extra. I converted it to an iCloud address when I moved to iCloud, and it has mostly worked until recently. I'd get the occasional spinning gear next to the mailbox, but mail would eventually show up. Today, The spinning gear is non-stop, and the account can't get mail. To check, I tried to log in to iCloud online with this account, and the same thing happens, endless spinning gear. What is going on, and how can I fix this?

I am having this problem too, I called Apple about it and was told they were having server problems, some were working and still some werent, My server...p04-smtp.mail.me.com , is one of those that is still screwed, I was told that it shouldnt be very long til its fixed but if its not tomorrow, to call back. its something that we cant do anything about

  • Two iPods, One computer, Different Login accounts

Hi. I've had my iPod Mini for about two years now and my mother just bought one for herself. On our computer we use different login accounts which is basically just different settings. So iTunes has it's own library on each account and we can add songs to the different libraries.
But when we try and update my mother's iPod, we go to click 'Update iPod', but it is greyed out. Is there any way around this or can we only use one iPod on the whole computer, despite the different accounts.

    Check this out.

  • Sharing Photo Libraries on one computer with two accounts

I have two accounts on my Mac Mini, OS 10.7.5 and have enabled photo sharing in both. However the second account, my wife's doesn't show the photo libraries I'm trying to share. Any thoughts please

Photo sharing works only between different computers, not for accounts on the same machine.
On the same computer you can give your wife direct access to your libraries, like described here:
iPhoto: Sharing libraries among multiple users
Or if your Mac MIni can be upgraded to a system that supports iCloud, you can share selected albums as Shared PhotoStreams: See iCloud: Using and troubleshooting Shared Photo Streams
