One Contract, Two Accounts.

So, I've been with Verizon for over two years but I kinda terminated the service for less than a month and then went back. I'm just wondering if my contract was affected or do I have to wait another year to be able to get out with less ETF = $350? Since my contract states that it's $175 ETF, is that what it would go with? Oh,, and They had to give me a new account and just wondering if it  can affect anything? Any help or answer would be appreciated, Thanks.

Kinda terminated?  I'm not sure what you mean by this...  did you pay an ETF?  When you went back, did they start a new contract?  Did you keep the same number?  Was service just suspended on the account?  I'm just wondering if my contract was affected or do I have to wait another year to be able to get out with less ETF = $350?  You'd have to ask an account rep who has access to your account details - we have no way of knowing.
Since my contract states that it's $175 ETF, is that what it would go with?ETF is generally $175 less $5 for each month of your completed contract.  Or $350 less $10 for each month is you have a Smartphone or Blackberry.  Since I am very confused as to what is actually going on with your account, you'd have to get the ETF amount from an acount rep who can see what's happening.

No one here has access to your account details, so you really need to call Customer Service and have someone in the accounting office look at your account to see what happened and how it affected your contract.  If you want to leave Verizon without an ETF, you need to find out when your contract ends.  After that date, you can cancel the account with no ETF.

  • One user - two accounts.

    Hi,
    I have question regarding licensing.
I have user. I bought CAL (User CAL).
Now He wants another AD account. He test something and want to use two separate accounts.
He will use them at the same time. He will be the only person that use those two accounts.
Do I have to buy extra CAL?
    Best Regards,
    Mariusz

    Hi Mariusz,
It really depends on specific scenario.
Now He wants another AD account. He test something and want to use two separate accounts.
He will use them at the same time.
If he only wants to log on to a computer locally using two accounts, then no license is required.
Here is a blog below regarding when license is required I suggest you refer to:

  • One Computer, Two Accounts - How Best to Proceed with MacOS 10.8.2?

My wife and I want to share our new iMac, and I'd like some advice on how best to do this without messing things up.
We both have iOS devices to sync, and we both are using the same iTunes Store Account. However, we each have our own iCloud account. We each have our own email accounts, Hotmail accounts, and Yahoo accounts. We each have our own account for the iMac, which I assume you would need if you wanted to maintain two different sets of Mail accounts and two different Facetime "accounts," what to speak of different desktop customization options.
Things we would like to share without duplicating files include: iPhoto library (~100 GB), iTunes media files (over 300 GB), Contacts list, (maybe) Calendar, and (maybe) Safari bookmarks. We do NOT want to share e-mail, Reminders, Facetime. Ideally, I would like for her to be able to sync her devices entirely through her iMac account. However, I am not opposed to her syncing her iOS devices through my account for some things and through her account for other things, if that is not easily avoidable.
Regarding the iTunes library, I could go either way on her having separate library files with separate ratings & playlists or just sharing the same library setup that I have. However, I would want her to have access to the same metadata that I have for all music and video files, since I have lots of custom album art as well as lyrics loaded in. Do we have to use the same library file in order to have access to the same metadata, which will be updated on a regular basis?  If so, then is there a way to do that via two different computer accounts, or does she pretty much have to sync with my account?
Now regarding iPhoto libraries, I wouldn't mind us sharing the same "library" as well as the files, including ratings and albums. I would like for the "faces" setup to be the same for both of us, if possible, so that she does not have to repeat the process of face tagging. I read in an older article that sharing the iPhoto library could be accomplished by sending the iPhoto library file to an external hard drive, but as that seemed to be an older approach, I thought I would ask here if that is still the ideal approach. I might want to send the iPhoto library file to an external HD anyway for space considerations. But if I do this, and we are both using the same library file for viewing photos, then does she still see the same albums, events, and tags that I have created already?
Is there a way to share contacts and calendars without having to share other things like Notes and Reminders? I suppose I could have her sync this information via my account, but I'd be greatful to learn of a better way if there is one.

You can share out both the iTunes library and the iPhoto Library in their respective preferences. However, the sharing account must have both iTunes and iPhoto running. You can keep the account running with those things open in the background using Fast User Switching. Enable that in the Users & Groups system prefs and then never log out, just switch to the login screen or the other account using the Fast User switching menu.
I haven't done much actual use in either, so I don't know what the limits are (like making a playlist out of the shared tracks, syncing with iPhone/iPod, etc). For iPhoto, all the photos are available, but if you want to edit one, you have to import a copy into your own library. Another option might be to not keep the media inside the Library, but store it in the /Users/Shared folder. Then, set up your Libraries to leave the content where it is (Preferences). However, I don't think you'd get the metadata for the iTunes music. I believe that is all stored within the iTunes Library.
You can share iCloud calendars so the other person can see your calendar by right-clicking on the Calendar name. There will be an option to share the calendar, there. Also, you can do so from the iCloud web interface.
I've got nothing on sharing contacts. Not sure of a good way to do that besides maintaining two sets. You can start from the same source, but it will diverge over time as contacts are added and removed individually.

  • E-Mail Issues: Retrieved E-Mails deleting off server but only on one of two accounts

I am the proud owner of a Z10 as of 4 days ago. So far, it's a great device, but I've got one problem. I want the e-mail messages retrieved on my phone to stay on the server, and this is working, but only for one account.
I setup my two e-mail accounts, Comcast and GMail, both as POP accounts. I did not setup GMail as IMAP. I tested the connections to see that the messages were properly retrieved on the phone, then I logged into each account to see that the messages were staying on the server. It appeared as though they were, but apparently I didn't wait long enough on the GMail account because the messages were being deleted from the server and I didn't notice this for 3 days. Again, my phone is NOT doing this for my Comcast account and I don't know why.
I have about 10 e-mails now on my phone in my GMail account that I can't seem to get back on the GMail server. I need to do this so I can download the messages to my home server where all my mail is stored.
I thought maybe I could create a second IMAP GMail account in the hub and copy the messages from one account to the other, but I can't.
If I continue to let the phone get those messages, they'll continue to be removed from the server.
If I forward them to myself, then they just show up as having come from me and that's not what I need either.
If I delete the account entirely, I lose my messages and that's definitely not what I want.
I thought I could tell the phone to stop logging into the GMail account by updating the password on the device, but it has to authenticate to the server to confirm that the password is correct, and if it isn't, it won't take the password and returns an error.
So far, the only thing I've been able to do to get the phone to stop retrieving the messages is to change my GMail password and not update it on the phone. That way, the phone can't sign in to GMail at all and get any new mail. However, I still have these 10 messages on my device that I need to export somehow.
Is there a way to export mail on this device? Is there a way to copy messages from account to account? What directory is the mail stored in and what file format is it stored in? Can I convert the messages to .csv and do it that way? And why did this happen only for my GMail POP account and not Comcast?

This is a wi-fi network connection problem - not a problem with an email account.
Do you have cellular reception at home? If so, you should be able to receive email with both email accounts as long as you have an internet connection with the cellular network.
On your iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings.
This will delete all wi-fi network settings from your iPhone for every wi-fi network you have successfully connected your iPhone with.
After doing so check if your wi-fi network is available again to re-join.

  • One invoice - two accounting document

    Hi to all,
can someone help me with this issue ?
I have to make this case:
creation of SD invoice - creation of accounting document - creation of another accounting document which derives from previous one.
First two steps are standard process, but for the third step we should use some user exit, but I don't know which one.
Did someone use something like this ?
    thanks in advance,
    Dubravka

    Hi,
As per my knowledge, all this is standard scenario only.No user exit is required for this.
First we will create an invoice after that accounting document will be generated which is a standard process.
After this by posting this one by using FB01 T.Code will create one more accounting document which is derived from the previous one only.
So we can use FB01T.Code  to create one more accounting document which is derived from the previous one.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • How can I keep just one of two accounts offline in Mac Mail?

I recently switched from Comcast to Cox Cable. Cox has a known issue with push notifications and email doesn't show up at regular intervals. You have to go offline and back on or quit Mail and then open it again to see new messages. It's a pain but it works.
I still have my Comcast email account enabled on Mac Mail because I need access to old emails and if I disable it (via Preferences), it disappears. I want to take it offline but clicking on the Comcast account and "take comcast.net offline" always takes my Cox account offline as well. I can't get them to both stay online because the Comcast account hangs when it can't connect to Comcast. This really exacerbates the already annoying issue of having to take Cox offline and back on.
I tried going into the Comcast account via Preferences and unchecking "include when automatically checking for new messages" but when I did so, it kept the Cox account from receiving any messages at all (I confirmed this by checking webmail, and by toggling it on and off to see what happened).
I need some solution that allows me to see the comcast account in mail without having it be active in any way. I have other mailboxes archived but that process doesn't offer the search capability that I need.

Aha! I have been doing just that. However, what has been tripping me up is that I am also used to clicking the Go Online/Go Offline toggle button on the top menu bar when I manually check for messages on Cox. Apparently when you take one inbox offline, that button switches to Off even though the other inbox is still online. If I just ignore that button and go on or off via the cox mailbox listing, it keeps comcast from being reactivated.
Thanks so much for helping me think this through.
Edited to add: I removed that dang button from my menu so I can stop clicking it.

  • I recently purchased an iMac and used migration assistant to get all files from my emac, but now I have three user accounts.  I only want one (perhaps two) accounts.  I want all my music, photos and word docs from old computer in one user name

I recently purchased a mac and used a firewire to transfer my files onto my new imac with migration assistant.  Now I have 3 users.  I want one with all my main files (pictures, music, files from my old computer).
I don't mind having an additional "family" account so my younger daughter can't mess us things, but I can't figure out how to get files from one to the next and then delete the one user name.
    Thanks,

In order to delete other accounts you must be logged into an admin account. You cannot delete the account into which you are currently logged.
When you started the new computer you were in the Setup Assistant. You created a new admin account before finishing the setup. You need to log into that account because it is an admin account. You can then delete the account you migrated from the old computer (and any other accounts you don't need or want.)
Then create a temporary new user account with admin status - name it, Temp. Log out of the current account and log into the new account, Temp. Now delete the initial account you created in Setup Assistant. You now have one account, Temp. Now re-migrate your data from the old computer. When that is completed log into the migrated account, which should be an admin account, and delete the temporary account, Temp.

  • Why is Gmail SMTP server working for only one of two accounts?

    iPhone 4S, with all updates.
I have two gmail accounts, primary and secondary.  I have both accounts set to use smtp.gmail.com, with password authentication for each account.
Primary account can send just fine using SMTP.  Secondary account cannot send through it's "own" server (i.e., [email protected]) and sent messages failover to the primary account server ([email protected]).  Of course, that means recipients see the email as coming from the primary account, which is totally contrary to the reason I have it.
Settings for smtp are identical, except for username and password.  I can send using the secondary account in Mail on my Mac, using that server, with messages showing properly (i.e. from [email protected]).
    Any ideas what's going on?

On the iPhone that can't send or receive iMessages, make sure iMessage is On in Settings > Message.
Also, try the tips in this Apple doc -> iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
If you still can't send or receive iMessages
To send and receive iMessages, your device must have a valid cellular or Wi-Fi data connection.
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    iOS: Troubleshooting cellular data
Ensure that iMessage is turned on in Settings > Messages.
iMessage registration validates your Apple ID for use with iMessage. If you are unable to activate iMessage, follow this article.
If iMessage is unavailable either on the sending or receiving device, SMS will be used. You can turn this on or off in Settings > Messages > Send As SMS. Carrier messaging rates may apply.
Verify that the Apple ID or phone number is listed in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
Note: To receive iMessages sent to your phone number on your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, you must meet the following requirements:
iPad or iPod touch using iOS 6 or a Mac using OS X 10.8.2.
Verify that you are signed in to your Apple ID account on Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.

  • Cant receive e-mails from one of two accounts set up o iphone

Recently returned from holiday where I connected to an open wifi network and now cannot connect to e-mail server on the main e-mail account on phone. From "settings" wi fi shows not connected and doesn't offer my own home wifi network but does offer a nearby secure one. Any advice?

  • 2 computers - setup One or Two Accounts

I have two computers (iMac & Airbook), when I created my user account on my second computer (the Airbook), I created a new user account with a slightly different account name. Then I enabled file sharing enabling both users access to documents on each of the machines. Now I am running into permission issues when I copy, modify, or move files/folders while connected over my home network to the other computer.
For example, I moved folders on my iMac while connected over the network from my Airbook, now when I go back to my iMac the folders are not permissioned for the iMac. Running Repair Disk Permissions from the disk utility doesn't fix this.
If I had setup the same exact user name/account on each of the machines have avoided these issues? By default I would like to access any file in my document folder on either of the computers regardless of which it was created or odified on.
    thanks

Same here. This is toward the non-intuitive end of things. I'm sure it is obvious for those who have been around networking for a while.
Often the answer is out there someplace on Apple Support but I'm having trouble finding it.
I would like to know some of the basics of smart home networking.
Is it best to use the same or different user names when you set up accounts on different Macs on a network. If you do use the same name, do you run into permissions conflicts?
If you have to use different logins, what is the recommended way to share documents, iPhoto libraries, iTunes, etc. with yourself - - other than MobileMe?
What are the good example or recommended security and firewall settings to allow filesharing?
Appreciate any help you can offer.

  • One or two accounts

I have a account that my son (11 year old) uses on the family iPad. I just got a iPhone. Should I use the same itunes account on both devices or different. We want to share some apps (not all), selective music. I am unable to use the same account on the iPhone so I need to do something in iTunes or iPad. Thx

You can use a different Apple ID for your iPhone but use the same Apple ID for computer iTunes, devices' iTunes Store, App Store. (Apps, books and music can be shared, meaning you don't have to buy again)
In iPad's Settings > Store, switch Off Automatic Downloads so when you sync you can select the content you want for you kid.

Is it possible that you are using the same password for the old O2 Study and newer O2 Apple Base Station networks?
If so, Keychain Access is storing the old information about the old network and may be associating it with your AirPort Extreme settings based on the BSSID that William has mentioned.
If that's the case, open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and look for a listing with the old network name. Delete this entry. You may need to power down both the computer and the AirPort Extreme and restart them.

I don't think I see my situation addressed. I have one mobile me account and a separate appleID for purchases.   I have 4 devices and my wife has two. Right now they are all using the same mobile me account to sync just the calendar and address book.
1.)  I want to add email syncing for my 4 devices and email syncing for my wife's two devices separately, but we want to sync and share the same calendar and address book.  Is this possible?
2.)  I also have 5 different calendars, one for work, one for home, one for... etc.  Is there a way to have different devices only sync certain calendars and not others or is it an all or nothing deal?
Thanks in advance for any tips!

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Generally speaking it is not a good idea to share an iCloud account between different people, it often results in contracts, calendars et cetera being deleted by others. Saying that however you can add secondary iCloud accounts to your devices at settings> mail, contacts, calendars. Secondary accounts do not have all the features of a primary account, but are often very useful. Because you can enable or disable each individual feature of an iCloud account, you can cover almost any situation by using secondary accounts.
