One input Two outputs required with UDF !!

HI Guys,
Plese give me some ideas how to write a UDF, with one input value (true) and return two answers "True" and "False".
any inputs about this please?

I think you can do this graphicaly , there is no need to use ..... UDF
What i understand is , you reqd. a
FALSE , TRUE ,FALSE , FALSE -

How to conduct two inputs two outputs syetem with fuzzy control funtion?

I have two DC motors to control two variable capacitor, and I use HP 8752c network analyzer to look the circuit's resonance frequency and reflection as a feedback control.
The relation between inputs and outputs are nonlinear and they are all correlative with each other. But it still has a trend so that I can tune them by myself. It's time-consuming.
I would like to ask that the fuzzy logic control is suitable for my situation?
The system is time-invariant.

Instrument objects - change one and two others change with it

very confusing behavior within the LE arrange window: in song composition, Im ladying down from top to bottom various instrument only tracks.
Because by default (my copy of ) LE had 8 Audio and 8 Instrument objects, Ive had to by necessity move these around.
Now Im noticing if I change the topmost instrument object, Logic change one/two/three or other instrument objects along with it ? It must think they are the same, however, Ive got them mapped to play different sounds on the EXSP 24 (do I need a new iteration of this object for each different sound ?)

Your suggestion worked. I had tried deleting the artwork just from the albums involved and found one track, on one of the compilation albums, was still showing artwork on the ipod, but not itunes library. Deleting all the artwork off the ipod, adding it back onto the itunes library and then syncing the ipod worked.

Does Thunderbolt support chaining multiple monitors(e.g. non Apple Thunderbolt Display) to a MacBook Pro?
A Thunderbolt hub will be required, some external HD have two TunderBolt ports. A device with three ports will be required (one input, two ouptputs).

Issue Printing One or Two Checks on HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw

I just purchased an HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw which replaces an HP Color LaserJet 2605dn.
I've run into an issue printing checkes from Quicken when I print less than a full sheet (one or two) checks.
With my old printer, I used the manual feed for a partial sheet.
Since the new printer does not have a manual feed, I have to put the partial sheet in the paper tray.
It seems one of two things happen:
1) Sometimes the printer will print the partial page but then displays an error message which says something like "Unexpected paper size, load letter."
It then re-prints the partial page on the next sheet of paper.
2) Othertimes, it prints the partial page without the error message, but then feeds the next sheet of paper throught the printer.
In either case the next page contains the next three checks, so it's either wasting checks or printing on the wrong check numbers.
Any suggestions on how to avoid these issues would be appreciated.

I've been using an alternate printer for printing the checks, but I'd rather get rid of the old one. (The HP Laser Pro 200 takes up a lot of space!)

My client wants the following combination.
Service Tax , input tax,output tax, with VAT & without VAT. I have also configured. Can anyone tell what are the GL accounts that have to be assigned in OB40 under what transaction. for example MWS, VST, etc.?

Updating OS on one of two nodes on RAC

We have an oracle RAC database version 10.2.0.3 on RHEL 4.5 .We have two nodes.
Is it possible to update OS from 4.5 to 4.7 excluding kernel on one of two nodes?

There are 2 possibilities:
1. Update all redhat packages, exclude kernel - system will have latest patches, except not the latest kernel and as a result version will not be 4.5
2. Update all redhat packages including kernel - system will have latest patches and will be upgraded to 4.5.

Analog Input and Output in One Single VI

I need help in setting both analog input and output in one single VI. How do I assign channels to be either input or output? How do I simultaneously uses both in one single VI with a while loop structure?? Which AO am I suppose to use to obtain signal from the function generator I have built to feed into the DAQCard-1200?? Help!!

One thing you'll need to be aware of is that you will need to DMA lines: one for AI and one for AO. If you don't, then you can configure the DAQCard to do without DMA using the Config VI. But you certainly can do this.
As far as your function generator, you will want to do a buffered analog output. You will write your buffer of points to the buffer, and then tell NI-DAQ how fast to update your analog output channel with these values.
So, you can be reading from AI and checking the AO process in the same while loop. Just make sure you handle the while loop execution (the wait it exits) correctly. This can get tricky when you're doing two types of measurements.

How do I program a NI 6602 card to send trigger pulses, one at each output port, triggered by an input trigger signal, using only one counter for each output port?

I have managed to program a NI 6602 card in LabView to send pulses on three different output ports, one pulse on each output port (with individually chosen delays) for each input trigger pulse coming on a separate input port. It is the DAQmx Create Channel (CO-Pulse Generation-Time)-VI that I have used for this, see attached code. However, this VI controls both pulse delay and pulse width, and therefore uses two counters for each output port (although you only specify one counter in the VI input signals), as I understand.
In my application though, I only need to have the delay chosen, the pulse width can be arbitrarily short, and thus I should only need one counter for each output port. How do I accomplish to program this in LabView?

Well you're welcome to do that--it will work just fine as long as you are configuring a start trigger.

However, personally I really don't like putting multiple counter outputs in the same task. I have seen so many people assume that the counter outputs would be synchronized due to having them in the same task when this is not the case (you need to configure a start trigger in order to synchronize the counter outputs even if they are in the same task). This is the only case I can think of where multiple channels in a DAQmx task are not automatically synchronized.
As an example:
Running this on my PCIe X Series gives a measured 2 edge separation of 1 ms + {7.78 us - 10.11 us}. This would likely be much worse on a bus with more latency (e.g. USB).
The resulting output is close enough to what you might expect that it might go unnoticed, but really these counter outputs are not synchronized and it would be easy to glance at the code and not even think twice about it. For the small amount of extra work on my end to create a separate task for each counter, it really clears up some ambiguity about what the counters are actually doing. For me it's worth it.
So again, for your case there really isn't a problem with having the counters in the same task since you are using an external start trigger anyway. I have just gotten in the habit of avoiding doing this.

Producer consumer with analog and digital inputs and outputs

Hi everyone,
I am working on a control system program for some practical test work. Currently I am working on the data acuisition component of the Labview program. My architecture is produced-consumer loops with a que. My system will have analog inputs, analog outputs, digital inputs and digital outputs. It's not a time critical sytem, but I would like all of the data acquisition to be synchronised. I have attached my program as it is at the moment. I am having trouble getting all of the data into the que since I have two data types. Also, I'm not sure if i've synchronised the four read/write sequences correctly. I would greatly appreciate if somebody could take a look at my program and give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

Robert, the specific error that I get is:
Error -200462 occurred at DAQmx Start Task.vi:6
Possible reason(s):
Generation cannot be started because the output buffer is empty.
Write data before starting a buffered generation. The following actions can empty the buffer: changing the size of the buffer, unreserving a task, setting the Regeneration Mode property, changing the Sample Mode, or configuring retriggering.
Task Name: Heater testing lab digital outputs
This error occurs at the 'DAQmx write.vi' function. I just want to sent one sample per second, for each channel. I would like the producer and consumer loops to each run once every second.
I have attached part of my code with just the data acquisition and writing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Input xml from output xml with reverse transformation

I have the transformation and the output xml file. Is there any way I get the input message using the trasformation and output message with minor manual changes? Is there any tool for that?

I understand that you want to archive the incoming message before map is applied. (Assuming map is not to be there on send port as not very clear about restrictions you have)
There are two ways:
1. Use of Custom pipeline component to archive message . You can find one at :http://biztalkarchiving.codeplex.com/
2. The other option is to have
Recieve port without map
Two send port one pointing to Archive folder and other to temporary folder (intermediate)location
Add both the send port to Send Port group. Have filter on it as BTS.PortName = ReceivePortName
Create a receive port with temporary folder as receive location
Apply the inbound map on this port
If map can be allowed on send port then
1. Rec port without map
2. Two send port, one without map other with map.
Thus original message will be saved by Send Port 1 and transformed by Send Port 2

Mirroring input to output on NI usb-6259 (with or without DSP)

Hi, I'm new to Labview and I am looking to make a vi that reads a digital waveform in and echoes that waveform out on another pin, preferrably after having undergone some logical switching for channel selection purposes.
I have tried looking through and modifying the example vi's (e.g. Multi-Function-Synch AI-AO.vi ) with little luck. It seems that the best I can do is to generate a square/triangle/sine wave at a frequency that is governed by my external clock trigger... No data echoing for anything complex.
Can anyone offer me some pointers on where to start with this IO stuff?
Ideally from a "block diagram" point of view, I'd like to have my external waveform generator running an external trigger to a DAQ pin, use that to trigger sampling on another (digital) IO pin, send that data to the DSP blocks, and then finally echo the data out to another IO pin...
I've tried constructing this setup in all the "intuitive" ways I can think of, and have sort of struck out.
Please help?

Hello Godzilla,
In order to do synchronized digital input and output you will need to route your external trigger through a "dummy" analog input task. The reason for this is that the digital I/O tasks do not support start triggers. By using the analog input sample clock and starting the digital tasks before the analog input they will be started at the same time and thus be synchronized.
I would recommend starting with the Multi-Function-Synch AI-Read Dig Chan.vi example program. This example does everything you need to do for the digital input; the only thing you need to change to the source input of the DAQmx Timing VI for the analog input task. Right click the source input and create a constant, then choose the PFI line you want to route your external trigger in on.
At this point you'll have a program that uses your external sample clock and you have the ability to add a digital output task that will be synchronized with your input. To add this digital output task I would suggest the Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk-Non Regeneration.vi example. If you copy this example into the other one and merge the two while loops you'll only have a few modifications to make.
Here are some things you'll need to change:
1. Route the same analog input sample clock to the source terminal of the DAQmx Timing VI for the digital output task.
2. Buffer the output with the data you want by changing the data input to the DAQmx Write VI.
Non-regeneration keeps the digital output from looping previous data. This will allow you to know if you are buffering output data fast enough. If you have trouble running this loop with your analysis then I would recommend implementing data pipelining. In general control loops are not recommended on Windows operating systems. However, depending on the analysis you're doing, your computer, and what loop rate you're looking to get it can be possible with good programming techniques. The fastest I would recommend trying to execute your loop on a Windows OS is on the order of 10ms (give or take depending on your computer and analysis). If you need to execute this control loop faster than 1ms I would recommend considering a Real-Time operating system. We have benchmarked PID control loops on Real-Time operating systems at more than 30 kHz.

What do you mean by step-signals? Do you mean a signal that steps up the voltage over time, a step function signal that is zero until a certain time then goes to 1, or a pulse train?
In the meantime you can find examples for getting started in the NI Example Finder by selecting Help » Find Examples
When that opens you can limit the examples to ones that are compatible with your hardware. In the bottom left corner select your hardware and check the Limit results to hardware box.
Browse to Hardware Input and Output » DAQmx » Digital Generation or Generating Digital Pulses.

Can I have more than one ruleset inside a dictionary with different output?

Hi!!!
I'm creating a dictionary with 4 rulesets, one xsd for the definition of the schema for the variables. Each ruleset uses different input variable and different output variable. So when I test it I have to fille all the input variables in order to make it work!
Is the design wrong? Should I separate ir in different dictionaries? What can I do?

I am facing the same problem. Word had an easy way to have two sections on one page. I can't see that it is a problem. However, my problem was I wanted two sections on the same page. It appears that Pages handles this differently. It is called a layout break. Same drop down menu. I wanted to change from one to two columns and back on the same page. Hope this helps in your situation.
