One IP Address to create a IPMP and logical hostname?

Hi,
Is this possible to have a network failover in sun cluster with one IP address ( requirement is in two node cluster, each system having one NIC port. IPMP group will have only one IP address which is also use as logical address also)?

I doubt it. In your cluster setup, one of the nodes would always have no(!) IP address. Actually, before you would configure your logical IP address, none of your cluster nodes would have a valid IP address, as the logicalhostname resource would want to plumb the address.
Re-reading your post, the answer is no. This setup will have all sorts of problems.

Hi,
this may be a false/positive log record.
First check the services and applications on the effecting machine (NETSTAT -ANO) to see which connections the machine has established or tries to establish.
Check the machine against viruses and spyware.
if you don't find any viruses / spyware or "mysterious" connections, create a connection exception limit in the flood mitigation settings on your TMG Server:

I have an email account which seems to be using icloud, and I want to add another email account so that I can access it via icloud. Is it possible to have more than one email address on icloud? I have an iphone 5 and a macbook.

You can only have one email account for each iCloud account. You can create up to three alias addresses, but these will still receive email in the current account inbox. This explains how to create an alias if you want to do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.
You can create a second ("secondary") iCloud account on your device by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and entering a different iCloud ID. This will give you second iCloud email account but it will only be fetch email (not push). Also, you can only create a maximum of three iCloud accounts on each device so this would use one of your allotted accounts.

My one AOL address is different on Mail and on Safari which continually times out.

Mail on Macbook will not open. When it is open, it won't quit.
Email on locked network on Safari continually times out. If I unplug and replug it connects.
One AOL address does not post some emails, both sending and receiving, on both Mail and Safari

Difference betwn shared address and logical hostname

For cluster 3.2, could someone explain the diff betwn "clreslogicalhostname create" and "clressharedaddress create"? I thought the former was to share a logical hostname (depending on DNS to resolve to the ip address) betwn nodes, and the latter to share ip address (don't need to rely ip address resolution). But examples of the latter use a hostname and not an ip address, which leads to my confusion.

You've got things a little bit confused.
A logical hostname resource is an IP address (and associated hostname) that is placed in a fail-over resource group and used by the application(s) in that resource group. Such a resource group is resident on one node only and thus the IP address only exists, i.e. is plumbed in, on that cluster node too.
An example of such a service would be, say, an NFS service, with the IP address being the one you mount shares from. Alternatively, it could be an HA-Oracle database with the IP address being that of the listener that clients connect to.
A shared address resource is an IP address (and associated hostname) that is placed in a fail-over resource group but is used by applications in a scalable resource group. The shared address IP/hostname becomes a global IP address, such that it is physically plumbed in, e.g. on bge0:1, on the cluster node where the fail-over resource group is mastered and also plumbed in on the loopback interface, e.g. lo:2, of the cluster nodes that run the scalable services that depend on it.
An example of such a service would be a scalable web server, e.g. Apache or Sun Java Web Server, that is run on multiple cluster nodes at once and has requests load-balanced to them directly by the cluster. The scalable IP address would provide a single address that clients could use, yet the requests can be serviced by one of several nodes.

Consider a case in which a cluster node has two public network interface in a IPMP group and a logical hostname (ip addr) is also assigned to one of the interfaces.
If an SNMP trap is generated from this cluster node, what would be the source IP address in the IP header of the trap?
Is there a way to restrict the source IP addr to one of the interfaces?

There is only IPMP group so I'm not sure what you mean by active/standby groups. If your question meant to ask whether the interfaces within the group are in active/standby, the answer is no.
Even if they were active/standby and the trap always travels over the active interface, the question still remains whether the source IP address would be the physical address or the logical address, assuming the logical address is also assigned to the same interface.

There were already few fields attribute1, attribute2, attribute3 etc in that page. You need to personalize the page to make those fields rendered so that they can be displayed on the page and give the name that you want to like Address line1, address line2, city, state, zip etc. They will be saved in the table POR_ITEM_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES in the columns attribute1, attribute2 etc.

I tried to create a record, but i only managed to create a header record and the partner record is not reflected in the transaction. Why is that so? is there any indicator that i need to include?

Can't create iPhoto Books and Calendars

I have OS10.10 on a 3.1 GHZ Core i7 iMac. It is a new machine and works very well. When I try to create a calendar or book for order in iPhoto nothing happens. It creates an album but beyond that I can not do anything.
Anyone else have this problem.

What are the steps you are using - what version of iPhoto do you have?
one way is to create an album and put th photos for the book or calendar in the album - open the album and select all then under share create the book or calendar
If it does not work what exactly does happen? What error messages do you get?

SC 3.2 - logical hostname create rpoblem

I am running with Sun Cluster 3.2 in two node cluster with IPMP. And we are using IBM Storage and metaset (Solaris Volume Manager) in the cluster.
While trying to create Sun Cluster resource logical hostname, I get this error. I was able to successfully create the data resource but the logical hostname resource is giving this error.
Command executed: /usr/cluster/bin/clreslogicalhostname create -g test-rg -p Resource_project_name=default -p R_description=Failover\ network\ resource\ for\ SUNW.LogicalHostname:3 -N group1@1:node1,group1@2:node22 -h test-rs test-rs
Error message:
clreslogicalhostname: <test-rs> cannot be mapped to an IP address

The value you specified with -h option is the logical hostname that should be mapped to an IP address and is not
the resource name. The address mapping is possible if you have an entry for this hostname either in the /etc/hosts file or an entry in the name service
that you are using. Make sure that you have an entry in the /etc/hosts file for "test-rs" and retry the create operation.
BTW, You need not specify the -h option if your hostname
is same as the resource name, and resource name is resolvable.
From man page of clrslh command:
-h lhost[,]
--logicalhost lhost[,]
Specifies the list of logical hostnames that this resource represents. You must use the -h option either when more than one logical hostname is to be associated with the new logical hostname resource or when the logical hostname does not have the same name as the resource itself. All logical hostnames in the list must be on the same subnet. If you do not specify the -h option, the resource represents a single logical hostname whose name is the name of the resource itself.
You can use -h instead of setting the HostnameList property with -p. However, you cannot use -h and explicitly set HostnameList in the same command.

Os x lion and logic 8

I suspect I know the answer to this already but....
Having recently updated to OSX Lion, this has 'broken' my use of Logic Studio (version 8). Now, what I should have really done was find out if the new OS supported the software but in my eagerness to install it I missed this vital check.
I know there is a way to launch Logic 8 (by going into the package content and launching it from there) but I have found this to be extremely unreliable as it crashes more often than it remains stable.
Is there any hope for there being a fix or update that would allow me to continue to use this version? I know it is my fault but I don't want to have to spend £160 or whatever the price is to upgrade that was caused by the purchase of the OS at £21
I know I have GarageBand but, for me, I need more than it provides.
Do I need to just bit the bullet on this one?

Same, just installed lion, and logic 8.0.2 doesnt run now.. seems a bit wierd how somehow an apple product doesnt run on apple anymore...
Can we download an update to 9 to work on lion (if so whats the link?)
I dont want to crack or hack so dont worry about that.

I've never had a problem with multiple email addresses. My ISP's email account has multiple accounts and the same SMTP server, no problem.
I can't speak for GMail as I only have one, and that is my spam email account, so I don't really care what it sends.

Gmail is a very bizarre email server. It was designed to be web-based, but due to demand, they made it pseudo-compatible with POP and IMAP.
If you move email out of the Inbox, Mail will reply using the "default" email account, not necessarily the one that was originally associated with the message. Being that Gmail doesn't really have mailboxes or folders, but has tags it calls "Labels," it may have something to do with that issue.

It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process.
