One iTunes account - 1 MacPro, 1 iPad, 1 iPhone, 2 iTouch, 1 iPod

We have multiple devices on one iTunes account. Is there away to sync Apps, Music - but have separate Contacts and Calendars?

When you sync with iTunes, you can select the exact content that you want on each device, for as many devices as you own.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the any of the various tabs in iTunes on the right. In this instance - select the Apps tab.
Click on all of the Apps that you want to sync in the apps list
Click on the Sync Apps heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
Use the same procedure for all of the content in each of the tabs in iTunes.
If you have different address books on the Mac, then you should also be able to select your address book contacts in the Info Tab of iTunes under "Sync contacts with" - but if you share the Mac Address book - there is no way to pick and choose your contacts only.
The same would apply to the calendar. You can have different calendars and sync your own calendar to your own device.

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

This way when I change from an old ipad to a new, I can restore with the ipad backup, and when I change from an old iphone to a new, I can restore from the
iphone backup.

Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"? There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.

The above can get pretty complicated. You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content.

How to manage 2 iPhones one iTunes account and a shared iPad on iCloud?

My wife and I both have iPhones with separate contact lists but share the same iTunes account. To complicate matters further we also have a shared 'Family iPad'. I have updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 5 and iCloud. I am unsure what will happen when I update her phone to iOS 5 and iCloud? Will it replace one of our contact list with the others or will it merge the lists resulting in lots of duplicates on both our contact lists? To be honest I'm happy to share calendars, photos, music etc.. But don't want to wipe one of our contact lists. I updated iOS 5 to my own phone and my iPad. When I updated it on my wife's phone I made sure I selected for it not to sync contacts, calendars etc... With iCloud when asked during install. once it was installed on my wife's phone I then went into settings and turned on the each thing individually that we wanted to share ie it's useful when she adds a calendar date that it appears on all our devices. However, I left off syncing her contacts with iCloud so we retain separate contacts. Problem is that with you iMessage with people from the iPad it goes to both her phone and mine? Think it may be time for a genius appointment.

We have 2 iPhones and two iPads, we what to sync one phone and one iPad to an iTunes account and the other iPad and iPhone to a different iTunes account, but it keeps trying to sync the first accounts music, apps etc. We are using the one (only) computer.

Hi there, I was using an old iTunes account until it went all weird. So I created a new iTunes account and I'm wondering how to get these onto my iPod touch 4th gen and iPad 1st gen ? It comes up under the iTunes store ( at the bottom ) but when I go to update the apps that are required for update, the old username comes up ..... Those apps are tied to that ID, you can't transfer them to a new account.

Can I have more than one iTunes account on 1 computer for 1 iPhone?

I just got an iPhone. However, base on the iTunes Store in my country (Malaysia) there isn't an option for music.
Can I register another iTunes account under the USA using the same credit card?
I note that under the registartion page, I am required to insert an address in the USA. As I dont really have one, how do I continue with the registration process?

It is the labels and copyright owners restricting sales, not Apple.
Most likely, Apple would love to sell as much as possible but they can only sell where they have permission.
Copyright is different for each country and a label may have copyright in one country but not in others.

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account. To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

You can't have multiple IDs on one account, but you can use multiple IDs for different purposes on the same device.
Just use the one AppleID for iTunes and the AppStore so you can all share your music and app purchases. Then each person should have their own individual AppleID with associated iCloud account for mail, contacts, calendars, iMessage and FaceTime.
You don't have to use the same AppleID for all services.

When you have multi iphones and multi ipads, is it really best to have separate itunes accounts. My husband and I really seems to be running into problems now that I have a new I pad and we have one itunes account.

I just purchased the New Ipad, my husband and I have 2 Iphones (4 & 4s) and he has the Ipad 2, we are "technically" challenged, that I will put out there right up front . We've had nothing but troubles with the imessaging, and messages stating that they have been delivered but not received. I am not sure if it's more confusing with us having this one Itunes account, if it's best for me to have my Itunes account and my husband having his own. The Itunes account is my husband's and for some reason, the imessager doesn't recognize "him" being registered, but it sees everyone else. It wasn't working last night, but this morning, it worked, but when I tried to send him a text from my iphone this morning, it said, delivered, but he never got it, the only way I could get it to work, was to turn off, imessaging. It's become very confusing and I am not sure why. I am thinking, I will remove my Iphone from his Itunes account, set up my own (as we have too much problem with this Icloud, his contacts, his music, etc). Any thoughts, suggest, help, would be greatly appreciated. Not sure what this problem is all the sudden with the imessager, we had no problem before I got my Ipad (which has not been synced with his Itunes yet as an additonal device) I am sure if there is a problem with how we have our contacts listed). You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

You'll need to create an Apple ID for each device. Use the new Apple ID for FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud on the device. Use the original Apple ID for Settings>iTunes & App Store.

Trouble loading multiple iPads with one iTunes account

I am trying to load the same exact information from ONE iTunes account to multiple iPads (4-6). I was able to sync the app and information I needed to ONE but when I try plugging any of the other iPads into my computer NOTHING happens. The computer doesn't recognize that I have plugged in the iPad nor does the iPad recognize it is plugged into the computer. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to use the same Apple ID for all of them. One has been synced and I am logged into the same Apple ID but the other 2 have been reset so they are like "new" iPads but my computer won't detect them.

I sync three different iDevices with one iTunes account/iTunes library on my Mac. You can select the exact content that you want to sync to each device by customizing the sync settings for each device.
If you want to sync the iPad with another iTunes account or iTunes library at a later date - you will lose all of the content on the iPad from the old iTunes account. You can only sync with one iTunes library at a time and if you consider the iTunes account to be what is in your iTunes library - meaning content that you bought with one particular Apple ID - then you can only sync one account at a time as stated.
Perhaps if you defined or explained exactly what you mean by iTunes account, this could be clarified a little more.
