One itunes account for 3 iPhone 4

I am using 3 iPhone 4 in my family. Is there any problem for using one itunes account for 3 iphones?

No, you can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep track of the content on each device, including separate backups.

I started with one itunes account for my iphone and ipad, and now have a second ipad linked to the same itunes.  Can I set up a new itunes account for one ipad without losing what has already been downloaded on it?  I want to stop my husbands downloads appearing on my ipad, and vice versa.

A much simpler solution would be to go into Settings > Store and turn off Automatic Downloads

You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

The entire family has used one itunes account for years. How do we all set up separate iCloud accounts now? Or should we? 5 macbooks, 2 ipads, 4 iphones, 2 itouch, 2 imacs.   How does one decide what to sync, share and what not to? Green Jeans.

You need to start by understanding the distinction between iTunes and iCloud - Apple confuse the issue by referring to 'iTunes Match' as part of iCloud. It isn't.
You don't have to have the same login (Apple ID) for iTunes and iCloud; many people don't and there's no problem about it.
Your iCloud ID gets you email, calendars, contacts, iWork documents and PhotoStream syncing between devices.
Your iTunes ID gets you the iTunes Store, the App Store for iOS, the Mac App Store for OSX,, 'iTunes in the Cloud' (downloading of purchased items to any logged-in device) and 'iTunes Match' (uploading of songs not purchased in the iTunes Store).
Your family members can easily each get their own iCloud account to keep email etc. separate - in each case they will need a different non-Apple email address (a free one from Yahoo etc. would do) to set up the ID. If they are sharing a Mac they need to be using a separate user account.
They can have their own iCloud accounts and still all sign into the same iTunes account: or they can open their own iTunes accounts using their new iCloud Apple IDs.
BUT they cannot transfer items purchased under the present iTunes ID to different iTunes IDs.

  • One Itunes account for me and my wife

I am trying to find out how I can have one itunes account for my phone and my wifes. Right now my phone shows my account and hers show her. Unfortunately we have always bought itunes stuff through her account. Can anyone help me or tell me where to go to find help?

You can "share" iTunes content within the same household. That might be a better approach with two separate computers & iTunes accounts. The stuff on your wife's computer is grayed out, because by design you can sync iTunes content with the iPhone on ONE computer at a time. So, if you want to "share", do this:
    1. First disable auto-sync under Preferences>Devices in iTunes(under the edit menu if using Windows) on your computer.
    2. You sign out of iTunes & sign your wife in.
    3. Connect her phone...DO NOT SYNC!
    4. Store>Authorize this Computer.
    5. File>Transfer Purchases.
    6. Eject her phone.
    7. Sign her out, you sign back in.
You can now sync and add whatever content you want to each device. Just remember, all app updates to any apps obtained with her account MUST be done by signing into iTunes using her account, update the apps in question, sign her out, you sign back in.
That's all you have to do.

Can I use one itunes account for multiple users and multiple devices?

The iTunes EULA, as I understand it (I'm not an attorney )for Apps is basically that one person can use an App multiple devices, or multiple people can use an App one device..so one to many or many to one, but not many to many....

    No.
One of you create a new AppleID and one use the existing AppleID.
But you can still use the items in each iTunes library.
Create separate computer logins for each of you.
This will give you each your own data. Contacts, calendars, photos, etc. (and your own iTunes library).

  • HT1203 Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? Do I need a home computer,

Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? How do I sync all the devices to have the same music and apps?

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262\
However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S  audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

  • I currently have one iTunes account for my personal iPod Touch and for my work iPhone and iPad.  Can I create a separate account for work and keep my current account for my personal use - on the same computers?

I have an iTunes account for my personal iPod Touch - have had for several years.  When my work provided me with an iPhone and now and iPad 2, they all fall under my personal iTunes account.  Is it possible for me to create a separate account for my work devices and apps, while leaving my personal account intact?  I use both my compter at home and at work to sync occasionally.

  • One itunes account for many phones

    Hello,
We are currently deploying iphones within our business and I need to know how best to install some apps on all phones.
As you need an itunes account to download apps (free ones) is there a way to have one account (for the business) and this allows us to install free apps to the phones before we give them to users.
We dont want to set up a personal itunes account for each user as they may have there own or may not want one at all.

You may want to consider the iPhone Configuration Utility for Windows. It's a program that allows you to setup the phone from your computer and you can wirelessly push apps and info to the phones from your computer at any time. You can also restrict things the phones can do (like watch YouTube or take videos) if you don't want your employees to have full access to the device.

  • Sharing Music: using one iTunes account for two users on one MacBook Air

I'm trying to set up my parents on their new MacBook Air and I have set up an account for each of them. To keep their music collection simple & compact I want them both to use one iTunes account on the one machine. Can two separate users work off the same iTunes account on the one machine?
I have tried the Home Sharing function but this seems to be for separate machines rather than accounts.
I have also tried putting the music into a shared folder but this hasn't worked properly for me as the secondary account is able to purchase (but not download) the music correctly from iTunes.
    Any help appreciated. Thank you.

  • Itunes account for iphone 4 has one balance. iPad has another balance?

I recently purchased an iPad 2 (16GB 3G) and purchased a $25 iTunes card. I also have an iPhone 4 with a current iTunes account. The balance is not the same on my phone. I only have one account and use the same log in credentials for both. Shouldn't my balance be the same no matter what device?

It should be.  Have you tried restarting the devices?
BTW, you have posted in the Itunes U forum.  Itunes U is where colleges, universities and museums post educational material for students.
As your question has nothing to do with itunes U, it may help to post an a more appropriate forum.
