One iTunes account two passwords

I have 1 iTunes account (user iD), but have two passwords for some reason (I have one main password for most apps, but several apps are using an older password).  The result is I have to authorize my PC twice for one account.  Is there anyway I can merge all the apps to one password or kill the other password?
Thanks

there's nothing you can do except to send an email to the iTS customer service using this form and ask the folks there if they can help.
good luck !

  • Photostream not working - two iphones, one itunes account, two icloud accounts

    Hello,
My wife and I both have iphones (both 4s). I have had mine for some time and she got hers last week.
We have one itunes account. We have two icloud accounts.
We cannot get shared photostreams to - my phone will not receive invites from hers. It works the other way round though.
All the settings are correct and switched on.
Please don't send me to the FAQ page as I have tried everything on there to no avail
    Thanks
    Matt

The quickest and easiest thing to do is take the desired iPhone and connect it to the desired iTunes account. This most likely will erase and data on the iPhone and replace it with the data from the itunes account it is connected to.

  • One iTunes account, two computers...

    Dear community,
My first post: I'm looking for some advice regarding my iTunes account. Can anyone solve this conundrum?
My ex-girlfriend and i used to share a computer (windows vista) with my iTunes account on it. I used to sink my iPhone 3G on it.
We went our separate ways, still friends, now she has the computer. I bought a laptop (Windows 7), loaded iTunes on to it and opened my account but no sign of music etc.
I'm borrowing the old computer for a week to see if i can sink my phone for the first time in a year but chiefly to duplicate our music collection using an external hard drive. I would like to be able to sink my phone on my own computer in the future and return the old computer with her music still intact.
Do you think i will need to start a new account for her or de-authorise her computer and load a copy of the music back on to her computer?
Can anyone help? Very many thanks. (I'm about to receive an iPhone 4S so really should be ready).

You can copy the entire iTunes folder from the old one to the new one. Recommend you change the password to your account if you haven't done so already, but I guess you can leave her machine authorised until you find you need all five authorisations for yourself.

  • Two iphones, one iTunes account, two icloud accounts

    Hi,
I have two iPhones, one  privat, one from my company.
    I would like ...
... to have all music, apps, books bought via iTunes to be on both iPhones - use same Apple ID for iTunes account?
... seperate calender, contacts, todos - use different Apple IDs for iCloud?
Is there still a way to have all pictures taken in one common photo stream?

I have the same question.  My daughter and I share an apple account which is fine, but now I am getting some of her texts and each time I send her one I get a duplicate?  I thought I messed this up when we tried to Facetime each other and I have deleted all those options.  How do I fix it so I have my own texts and she has her own texts, I don't get duplicate texts but she can still access our I tunes account?  Please help

  • One iTunes account - two iPod Touch...

    Here's my problem:
My sons have an iPod Touch each. Occasionally I let them buy apps for their iPods from the Appstore, using my iTunes account. So they each have different apps on their iPods. Now every time I connect one of their iPods to my Mac to update the iPod OS or add pics or music, it also syncs all the apps. This means both of them get all the apps the other one has bought or downloaded. This fills up their iPods and there is no more free space on their iPods. When I unselect the Sync Apps in iTunes it warns me that all existing apps on the connected iPod will be removed.
What can I do??? I basically want iTunes to stop syncing apps, but I don't want my sons to loose all the apps they have on their iPods. Anyone, please?

Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes that the user controls. The same apps can be installed on both devices or different apps on each device, which is selected under the Apps tab for each device.
First disable automatic syncing when each iPod is connected. Under the Apps tab for the first device, deselect automatically sync new apps. Deselect the apps that you don't want installed on the device. Select Apply followed by a sync.
    Repeat for the 2nd device.

  • One iTunes account, Two iPhones...Help

    Hi everyone,
I am an iPhone user. I pay the bill for my iPhone and my wife's cell phone. I am getter her an iPhone but don't want here to have my contacts and calender on her phone. Am I right in assuming that she must have her own iTunes account and Calender to make it HER phone?
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of issue?
    Thanks

You can do this with the same iTunes account and computer login account on your Mac, but best to create an additional login account on your Mac for your wife.
This will give your wife her own Home folder directory for creating her contact information and calendar events only with the Address Book and iCal applications under her login account which will be synced with her iPhone.
She can also create and access her email account or accounts only with the Mail application under her computer login account. You can enable Fast User Switching on your Mac to make the process of switching between multiple computer login accounts a fast and easy process.
OS X was designed for multiple users - with the Home folder/directory and the data stored within kept separate and protected. Each user has a shared folder for sharing documents and other data between multiple login accounts.
She can transfer music from the iTunes library under your login account and the same for photos transfered from your computer to the iPhone, and sync contact information and calendar events only under her login account.

  • One itunes account two phones with mixed up apps

I have an iphone 3Gs (Hers)and my boyf 4 (His), and i used my itunes on my computer to put music on his phone before- no problems.
I had upgraded my phone to iOS 5.1 and a few days later did his. iTunes recognised the phone id as "His" and proceeded to say upgrade available blah blah blah, and backed it up, and asked that there were purchases on "his" that werent in my iTunes libruary, etc, all went fine so we thought.
Now he has all my contacts in with his contacts and he's missing all his apps! and when we go across to Apps tab on summary it won't let us apply the selected apps to sync back to his phone. We tried manually deleating the contacts AND UNWANTED APPS (Ab workout & Period Tracker!) only to find them back on there when we went to put the music back on.(which is not going back on either btw)
He cant access App Store as my id ([email protected]) is coming up constantly on his phone and its asking for my password. He downloaded Facebook and some soccer apps this morning directly to his iphone using my ID as he cant get his to come back or get back his stuff that are in the itunes libruary. THe newest problem is that half hour ago i went into App store on my iphone, which is still accepting my ID, and downloaded FM104 ( he has this already) - the downlad commenced and up poppped the three soccer apps and downloaded too onto my iphone.
My boyf is a carpenter and has alot of contacts in his phone, and doesnt want mine, he's like his music back as he's on the road alot, and doesnt need a 7pm reminder to take his contraceptive pill going off!!!  PLEASE HELP !!!

  • One Itunes account, two users

My husband and I both received ipods for christmas. We do not like the same music so want different songs on our ipods. How can I pick certain songs from the library and he pick others. I don't want to keep having to skip songs because we have the same music on both ipods. Thanks so much for any help!

My advice is to stop using the checkmarks to sync your iPod....if you are doing it that way. Make some playlists with just YOUR favorites and sync your ipods with selected playlists.
Once you try it, you'll see what I mean....it is SO much easier.

  • One itunes account, two ipads (no cloud). What will happen when I sync the new ipdad the first time?

My original iPAD is full of pictures, music, books and apps and was recently synced (iOS7) to my PC.
Just bought a new iPAD (Mini), and not sure what will happen if I sync it to my PC. Will the failry empty Mini wipe out all my content on the PC? or can I just select what from my PC I wat to sync to this new iPAD?

No, syncing an additional iDevice to a computer will have no affect on the original.
    Syncing is per device.
Connect the new device, select the content desired to sync and sync.

  • HT1420 I have two email accounts associated with one iTunes account

I have two email accounts associated with one iTunes account with two passwords,  I guess it happened when i changed my internet service provider.

Could be, but i do have an old email account, whis is not used, changed carrriers.  I have noticed that some songs have a cloud with a line through it.  I try to play it and a dialog box from Itunes pops up: "THIS COMPUTER IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY "THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE(SOUND TRACK VERSION, would you like to authorize it?  THe apple ID haxe my old  email address " and an empty block asking for my password.  Well all i know is when you start trying to authorze with an old ID or something of that nature, the account is block and you need to do a new setup again.  And who knows what other problems that will cause,
I just want the songs (i think there are several songs) assosiated with this old account to move to my new account.
    Any ideas?

  • Two macs -- one iTunes account -- one mobileme account

ok, so i hope i can get my question across correctly. thanks in advance for those of you that help. i have a macbook pro, along with an iPhone and an iPad. my husband has an iMac and an iPad. we both want to be able to use the same iTunes account but we both want to be able to sync our iPad's & iPhone to our own computers. we both also want to sync in mobileme. my questions:
    1. how do we sync both computers to one iTunes account?
    2. do we both need to have a separate mobileme account?

This might be just the place to post my question.
First, I'm on Windows Vista ... not a mac ... and I do not own MobleMe ... wondering if someone has suggestios for me concernign sharing an iTunes account between me and my wife.
Currently, my wife and I have separate Windows Logons ... and we each have our own respective iTunes account.   She syncs her iTunes with her iPhone, and I sync my iTunes with my iPad and iPhone.
I'm interesting in merging our separate iTunes accounts into one for the purpose of not having to purchase duplicate apps that we each will be wanting in the future.  (She doesn't know it yet, but she's going to get her own iPad for a surprise present.)
Looks like we are going to repurchase all her paid apps and place those into my account ... (she has fewer paid apps than I have, and that seems to be the least expensive way to start off.)
    So... Here's my question:
Is it better to have her sign off permantly from her installed iTunes Account, and sign back on as "me" ... then download all the apps I have already bought that she wants?   ( I.e.  have two separate iTunes installations - both using the same login ID and password ... but personally configured to our liking).
    ... OR ...
Is it better to delete her installation of her iTunes Account and just start using mine ... again configured to her liking by checking which apps should install her her devices and which should be installed to my devices?
    =============
Right now, she has her own music and I have mine ...
I'm open to any suggestions about PROs and CONs of each method ...
    Thanks for sharing

  • How do i sync one itunes account with two iphones, one ipod touch, and a nano?

I need help in how to sync the one itunes account we use as a family with the two iphones my wife and i have and an ipod touch that my son has and a nano that my daughter has. Please help.

That article applies, as far as I can tell, to all things called iPod X where X can be nano, touch, classic etc.
We don't have two iPhones in the family as yet but as I understand it each device can have separate settings for syncing calendars and contacts. For example my iPhone syncs these over the air with the Exchange server at work so if/when my wife gets an iPhone it would be easy to have hers sync to our computer
To make sure your apps don't inadvertently merge turn off Automatically sync new apps from the apps tab when you connect your device.
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways for managing the media content. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iDevices using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their device. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed and need rebuilding. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

  • How do I share one itunes account between two users on the same computer

How do I share one itunes account between two users on the same computer without taking up twice as much space on my hard drive?

You would need to move the itunes folder to a location that both users have permissions to access such as the Shared folder or any folder on the root level of the macintosh HD.
You can find instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1203 This method allows you to share the content without sharing the same library.
