One Key Optimizer - calibrate battery message everyday

I am receiving One Key Optimizer message many times each day. The "Calibrate" option worked once and created the pop up error, i.e. the lmcfrundll.exe error. Now the One Key Optimizer "calibrate" button does not work at all and the battery is only staying charged for about 3 hours. Help.........

Okay, so I tried the calibrate button again and this time it worked.
Battery completely ran down and then recharged. However, the power
indicator is providing inconsistent readouts of the power remaining, e.g.
15 minutes ago it said that there was 2 hrs and 7 minutes remaining and
now, 15 min later it says 2 hr and 43 min remaining. This happens all the
time. Last night the battery ran down in three hours after charging all
day. There is not any consistency with the battery's holding a charge nor
its indicator providing a consistent readout.

  • How can I change the key to delete a message from the delete key to command-delete like it is in the finder?

These new forums confuse me... Sorry.
I often think I am typing in another window but I'm actually typing while Mail.app is selected.  When I discover this, I often (without really thinking) start whacking the delete key.  When I whack the delete key, of course, a message is moved to the trash.  So, without really thinking about it, I delete three to six messages.  Go ahead -- call me stupid.  But...
If delete is not used to delete files in the Finder, then why is it used to delete files in Mail?
One group suggested making customer keyboard macros.  Sounded like a plausible solution.  I could make a customer keyboard macro so that delete did nothing (or something benign) and make command-delete delete the message.  Alas, using the Apple => System Preferences => Keyboard => Keyboard Shortcuts => Application Shortcuts gave me no Joy because it won't let me do either of those.  When I try to enter either delete or command-delete into the "Keyboard Shortcut" box, it just beeps at me.
Does anyone here have a suggestion?
    Thank you,
    pedz
p.s.   I can get the deleted messages back using Undo (repeatedly) but I think that is new with Lion.  So life isn't tragic but it still is an interface that I'd like to change if I could.

You can define your own custom keystrokes in System Preferences -> Keyboard.  I'm not 100% sure that this blocks the old keystroke, though, and am posting from my iPad and can't check that at the moment.

  • Ideacenter K330B One Key Recovery External Hard Drive

Hello, a few months back I made a full backup of my system to an external hard drive. I reached a point where it was just easiest to start my computer over using the One Key Recovery. I had to go with the factory settings at least temporarily. Is there anyway I can use the external hard drive backup to restore my stystem? The One Key system doesn't seem to agree with it.
    Thank you for any replies.
Sorry if there is a post like this elsewhere. I tried to see if their was and didn't see any that applied directly to what I needed.

    hi Nutcracker,
When you tried to restore your backup using OneKey Recovery, are you getting any specific error message?
    Can you also try to:
    1. Format the external HDD with NTFS (move your OneKey Recovery backup to another computer first)
    2. Make external HDD's the partition active and copy back the OneKey Recovery backup image
    3. Boot into OneKey Recovery 7.0 and try to restore your backup.
    Let me know your findings

I have a 1.25 year old S210 Ideapad Touch.  I made a 100GB partition with EaseUS and had no problem with onekey recovery.  I tried to merge that empty partition with my C drive using EaseUS software but it did not work saying there were errors.  After that attempt One Key did not work.  Tried to open One Key with compter turned off, error message said damaged partition. Next I used Control panel Administrative Tools: Disk Management to return C drive to almost its original size less 350 mb. one key still did not work.  I reinstalled one key from Lenovo website and still did not work. Still indicated damage partition.  What can I do now?

  • Hardisk partition and one key recovery problem

    Hi All,
I am new to to the lenovo community. I  recently bought a lenovo G series machine( G550 model #298595Q preloaded with Windows vista and 320 GB  HDD) . surprisingly  The C: drive contained 254 GB of the total  available 284 GB and D: drive had the remaining space. I wanted to inistall linux, I had to partition the C:drive and no where in the lenovo mannual it is warned against the resizing  C
I used a partition software called "paragon" to resize my C: drive. My system hanged while  running the process and after a long wait I had to shutdown my system and after that my OS was not loading. So I decided to recover my vista using one key recovery. I tried the back up I stored in D: drive  and in DVD and it is giving an error message that  "not enough space in the system"  and in the one key recovery menu the target location of the one key recovery is showing to D: drive  but my preloaded vista was installed in C: drive and also it is showing the total free space as 298 GB)
Could any one help me to get my vista back.( why the target location of one key recovery is showing  to D
or is there any way to increase the D: partition from boot setup). Please help me.
and also my warranty is valid , since I touched my C: drive( no where it is warned against that)?

I have posted this somewhere else, but it involves Win7, see if this helps:
What I can tell you is that I spent a lot of time as well trying to mend the soft/partitioning and to get rid of bloatware!
In short: I did a clean reinstall + recovered my OEM activation + partitioned the HDD as I wanted. Now it looks and reacts familiar (I used XP as well, before).
BEWARE: trying partitions managers as Easeus or Paragon has blocked my partitions - they seem to be "coded" somehow.
Do not hesitate: after you backup activation erase totally HDD (I used killdisc) and all shall be gone and you start fresh.
Get a Win 7 serching for "digitalriver" Get ABW for activation restoring Get drivers from Lenovo support, install only what you need by function not all of them!

  • Lenovo G570 essential - One Key Recovery issue

Hello to everybody and congratulations for the forum. I have a Lenovo G570 notebook which is running the original version of Windows 7 that came installed with. Before I mention the problem I have to state that I have restructured the hard drive by using the program Acronis Disk Director. When I click the One Key Recovery application and choose the RECOVERY option I receive the follwing message.
"The program cannot find the service partition. The service is currently unavalaible."
After checking, I noticed a change in the Default recovery partition (the factory one) and the Windows installation partition. These partitions are not ACTIVE as before. What can I do in order to overcome this problem and achieve to restore my notebook to the factory default installation?

    Hello Oust_alex,
First the simple procedure to bring the system to factory setting by using the recovery disc if you have created before altering the partitions.
If the recovery disc is not created then you must restore the partitions as previous and then check.
Last option is to purchase the recovery disc from the service center.
    Best Regards,

One Key system repair is the worst piece of software ever.
I can't understand why Lenovo chose that system.
After failing to get my computer recovered ( read more here ), I deleted all signs of One Key and installed Acronis.
Now I feel much safer and it's so much easier and more reliable.
There are many postings about the issues with One Key and not one comment back from Lenovo anywhere on the Internet.
I think they realize their mistake but refuse to comment or fix it.

  • G570 Can't download One Key Recovery to Windows 7 64 bit

    My system is Windows 7
The one-key recovery option was accidentally removed from my 64 Bit Lenovo  G570.
Since then I have tried to download a recovery driver from the Lenovo support page.
Two options are available:  one for a 32 Bit sytem and one for a 64 Bit system.
I have made absolutely sure that I have chosen the 64Bit version.
The programme downloads but half way through the installation process  the green progress line stops and the message flashes up: "You must install this programme on a 32 bit version of Windows".
This happens time after time and the situation is really quite bizarre.  There is no doubt that my system  is 64 Bit and there is no doubt I am choosing the 64 Bit option.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you in advance,
    Bill

  • Flex 14 Ideapad Windows 8.1 not able to start or recover using One Key Recovery

I have a Flex 14 Ideapad with Windows 8.1. This was bought in Dec-2013. In the last 6 / 7 months I have has Windows crashing many times. The crashes used to end with a message boot media not found. Each time I used the One Key Recovery to restore the machine to factory setting.
Recently, I faced an issue around user id files not being able to be loaded at the initial startup. This time also I used the One Key Recovery to restore the system. After this I have has another windows crash and now the One Key Recovery also is not working.
What can be done now to make the system work again?

When you start up the system with the NOVO-Button, there should be an option for BIOS.
Do you see the hard drive in the BIOS?
    Another option is this:
You can use an USB-Flash Drive to start the system.
For example you can give Ubuntu a try, a good tutorial to do that can be found here:
    http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
If this system start up without any problems, we can use it to test your system.

    Hi
    Welcome To Lenovo Community
One Key Recovery is the program which works with pre-loaded Operating System only,
OKR helps user to restore system to factory default using a button, take backup and create factory disks
Lenovo creates three partitions on the installed Hard Disk Drive:
    1. The smaller drive commonly known as the C drive which contains Windows and your pre-installed software. The C drive should NOT be resized otherwise your OneKey recovery may no longer operate.
    2. The larger drive known as the D drive which is ready for storing your personal data files such as videos, music, pictures etc. Both the C and D drives are visible in Windows but the D drive is MUCH larger to hold all your personal data. The C drive should NOT be resized otherwise your OneKey recovery may no longer operate.
    3. The Service Partition (the partition without a drive letter) is used by the One Key recovery system to backup and recover the C partition. This invisible partition requires only 18GB to 20GB of HDD space. The service partition should NOT be deleted otherwise your One Key recovery will no longer operate.
One advantage of having these partitions is the protection of your personal data. In the event you need to use the One Key recovery system, the personal data stored on the D drive will not be erased as the files on the C drive are restored.
Disk Management is an installed tool which will allow you to view these three partitions. You may access Disk Management by selecting Control Panel -> Management Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.
    * Actual size of the invisible partition may vary based on the model and preload.
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Disk-Partitioning-and-OneKey-Recovery-Feature/...
Since you have bought a dos box you can install windows 7 and use the inbuilt recovery option
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7
    Hope This Helps

  • Need Help using One-Key to make a system back up to DVDs

I bought U330 in Sept and now that I have some of my own programs installed and running, I want to make a backup to D (I think?) and also make backups to DVDs so I could make backups.
I'm no novice, but I cannot figure out the instructions for this.
When I pick  Backup, even at Max compression, it says I don't have enough space.   I don't have THAT much on D:---did I need to repartition this before I even started using this computer?  Does this mean I can never use One-Key?
When I pick Create Recover Disc (to make DVD backups), what do I do next?
The dropdown for "Select Source From" has only two options, I am guessing I have to pick "Select another image", but then I don't know what to pick for the Image path.    How do I pick the whole C drive ???   Or??
Please tell me exactly how to do this because I am finding LENOVO's instructions totally inadequate.
A couple times I got to the DVD burner--not sure how--but then it just wanted to burn the sample music files.    I'm feeling quite frustrated--this should not be this difficult!!

I thought you've got error of another type - that error is fixed by simple software update.
Regarding your case - it's always frightening in first time. Believe me - there's completely nothing to be afraid of.
Resizing C drive may result killing your DATA on it only in case of energy is down during the process. Process is taking about 15-20 minutes on slow programs and about 3-4 minutes on fast programs. That means that even having problems with electricity you'll be able to finish everything correctly running on battery.
I'd recommend using Acronis Disk director Suite, but it is not free. One of the best free progs for that are bootable Linux livecds PartedMagic and GParted. They're all intuitive understandable.
You will get your NOVO recovery feature lost after C resize, but you can enable it later, replacing that factory backup in hidden partition with your own backup - your NOVO button will restore your system with all your software and settings.
it will be good for you to start with some basic principles on partitions organization schemes - why, what for and how questions are briefly explained here. After reading this you'll be able to ask right questions to get right answers.
