One material gets substituted for another upon entry in order. Why??

We have certain materials that when entered into a quote for example, always get replaced with another material. Is this some configuration that's done and where can I find out more about why this occurs?

Thanks for the help. I checked in spro and there is no product substitution setup at all for the txn types.
Here's something else I noticed. When I search for the product via the Maintain Products transaction, I put in one material number and it always returns the other one. If I put the substituted part, it says it can't find the product. These are two separate parts in R/3.

Airplay works for one user but not for another on the same machine

I have the problem where airplay works for one user but not for another and both users are on the same machine. For the user where it does not work, everything appears normal, it's just that there is no sound being transmitted. I have tried restarting the Airport express, restarting iTunes, repairing disk permissions. Any ideas about what can be done to resolve this?

When server start, get "Waiting for another script to finish..." message and doesn't go anywhere.

Hello, my engineer (Japanese) is trying to start AdobeMediaServer but he got stuck after getting "Waiting for another script to finish..." message. Any idea how to resolve this situation?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.<br />
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

we run costing run in 20 materieal code insted of 20 materieal one materieal is showing double value remaining materieal is showing perfect.
we chacked BOM and routing in workcenter which is same for all materieal codes,

see product cost estimates is calculated using cnsumption qty mention in BOM multiplied by the price maintained in the material master + std direct activity qty mentioned in workcenter/routing and indirect activities related cost center multiplied by the activity rate maintained in KP26.
Now i am amazed that how could be BOM / ROUTING can be same for all the material, if this is the case means all the material and its cost will come as same if there is no difference in indirect activity qty and rate.
So plz check the BOM Components there might be double std qty entered for the consumption else there would be the line repetion for the qty. U can also check for the direct activity qty and activity calculation formula.

Production Order - Modify field Material Provision Indicator for component in the production order

I have a component in the bill of material, that has the option Material Provision Indicator activated.
When i create the production order, the component automaticaly is activated with the Material Provision Indicator option.
However, in the production order, this field isn't possible to modify, because is closed.
Anybody knows way the modify this field? Configure to open?

I am also getting the same error while Releasing Production Order and Costing (CO11N). This error is related to EHP7 in our case.
Please try one of the following solution and see whether the error is gone or not.
1. Implement the SAP Note 1317551 - Error AD_SUBCON 141 / 143 / 144 (T417)
OR
2. Complete the customizing of Material Provision Indicator (T Code OICO) as per the attachment.

ALE-IDOC ISSUE(material getting locked for enhancement)

Dear all,
I have extended the idoc and enhanced inbound material master function module to suite the requirement .
The challenge is that the material is getting locked when the material sent from bd10 and prodction version view for which function module extended is not getting created.The error log says that "material is locked".But when the idoc is processed again from we19 the material is not getting locked and PV(production version is successfully created).
Can anybody guide me how this locking issue can be resolved?(have done unlock -lock before and after BDC for Production version).

Hi,
If some one using the same material in another session, definitely the idoc will fail as the material is locked... In order to overcome this first lock the material u want to send, if doing this u get foreign lock then u will know that already someone locked it , so once gain process the same record until the foreign lock is gone, once it is gone process ur record and then unlock the material.

Mail sent from one account gets replies to another account

I have several email accounts under Apple Mail. One is my Gmail account, and another is my school account that uses the Gmail system (but has a different @address).
Every time I send an email from my school account, I get replies to my Gmail account. Any idea why?

Program won't launch on Mac for one user but will for another

We just installed a new program (that is Java based) that we are about to start using in our office. It is the WorkFlows client from SirsiDynix. It works fine on my MAC but 2 other users in our office have MACs and it won't launch. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. We created another user on one of the computers and installed the program and it launches fine. Both users are Administrators. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still no luck. We have ran the Repair Permissions utility on the HD. Is there a tool or software that we can use to compare permissions or settings of the 2 users to find out why the program won't run under one of them?
We have Mac Mini OS X version 10.9.5

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages

Office 2008 Setup Assistant Loop for one user, but not for another

I just upgraded my MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air and migrated everything across using Migration Assistant via WiFi.
Seems to have gone fine but found that my wife can't get any Office 2008 apps to start up. Word, Excel, etc start up in my account without a hitch but when we try to start any Office app in wife's account the Setup Assistant pops up, asks if we'd like to participate in feedback, then asks to choose to register or learn more. No matter what we choose the Microsoft Updater pops up and prompts to check for updates after this the app closes. We are forever in this loop of trying to open an Office app, checking for updates and then the app closing down. And the app closes even if I quit Setup Assistant and/or Microsoft Updater.
I've tried dumping various plists but not luck.
Any help in resolving this would be much appreciated.

Another copy of this question turned up a couple of weeks later and has been answered. Basically, you have to reinstall Office 2008 from the original media.

No backlight for one user, but fine for another

One of my students' iBooks has no backlight when he is logged in, although the screen is fine when logged in as a teacher. When I go in the student's prefs, the brightness slider in the display settings doesn't do anything. It slides back and forth, but nothing changes. Also, F1 and F2 don't do anything. The sun icon shows up and the bars work properly, but nothing happens to the screen. I reset the PMU and that didn't do anything. I'm not the administrator for these school computers, so my access is somewhat limited (ie, I can't get into the terminal), but our tech guy can't figure this out. He thinks the student sabotaged the settings, but I can't figure out what he could have done.
And my eyes are killing me from trying to look at this dim screen! Help!

Could the student have set a 'dim screen image' as a full screenshot
and have that load as a startup item so it's on there until certain key
commands are used to revert to a normal desktop? Sometimes a
person can just use Preview and put it on full screen to make the
real Finder/Desktop quite hard to access or use, unless you know it.
I've found I can set almost anything as a desktop. One item that would
have someone wondering, is an image of my desktop with iTunes on.
There is a menu bar and a Dock on the far right side; the rest of the
screen is iTunes in Visualizer, to the edges. This, as a full screen
capture, leaves one the impression the whole desktop has frozen.
The same could be done with almost any image; even a black one.
I've not tried to get an image to load this way as a startup item in
a user account. But I think it could be done; perhaps in single user.
Though I doubt it could be as simple as this, the answer may be
something surprisingly uncomplicated to do; harder to resolve.
There may be a way to (as an Admin) remove the dysfunctional
user account entirely; perhaps even save some of the settings to
a new account, or possibly a student's work, if actually needed.
Limiting lesser user accounts to a few applications and not give
them access to change much of anything is a feature in OS X.
In any event, hope the issue gets worked out OK.

Filter for one hierarchy and expanding for another one?

Hi to all,
We've a dimension A with 2 different hierarchies (call them as usual PARENTH1 and PARENTH2).
What I've been asked by the users is a little interface, where they can:
- filter for one parent of the first hierarchy
- expand for the parents of the second hierarchy, who share the same base members.
Initially I had hoped that imposing the value desired of the parenth1 in the PageKeyRange, and expanding with a filter like HIR="H2" and HLEVEL="2" would work, but it doesn't work (I get ALL the parents at level 2 of the second hierarchy, not the parents who shares the same basemembers).
Is it possible to model this with an evDRE? If so how? Unfortunately, I cannot make a single hierarchy (this parents aren't in a 1-N relationship between them, unfortunately).

could you explain more in detail your solution? Because I tried it, and it didn't work as I expected...
Let me explain with an example
Hierarchy1:
Dir_01 has got 4 basemembers (test1, test2, test3, test4), while Dir_02 has got other 2 basemembers (test5, test6)
Hierarchy 2
Es1 has got 3 basemembers (test1, test2, test3), Es2 has got 1 basemember(test4), Es3 has got 2 basemembers (test5, test6)
What I would like to do is to
- filter an evDRE with Dir_01
- "expand" (I believe i've wrongfully explained myself in this point) with the other Hierarchy, which means: I want in the report only the nodes in the hierarchy 2 that share the same basemembers
In this way, I would have as available keys in my evDRE report:
Es1
Es2
With your solution, I even get Es3, which doesn't have any common basemember...

Material getting set for Batch Management in O/B delivery

Hi Folks,
For a material which is not batch managed, I created an outbound delivery.
For some reason, the material is getting set as 'BatchManagement' even though the Batch Management indicator is not set.
Due to this PGI is not possible.
Any thoughts on why the 'Batch Management' indicator has been set and how to resolve this?

I am unable to replicate this problem in Q. Its occuring only in P while doing a goods issue.
Message is
"The batches are not defined for delivery item XXXXXX".
As I said earlier, we have not set the batch management check box in MM.
However the outbound delivery has the batch management check box selected .
Anything I missed to check? Q is almost identical to P. But still issue is only in P.

User needs to see only one E&A database for manual data entry

Please can you suggest a solution for the following requirement.
Requirement is that when a user log in to the Entry & Approval to entry the manual KPIs he should see only the one database which he is allowed to instead of drop-down and select the database which he has to enter the data as multiple models are created to Entry& Approval and Scorecards.
Tried to create model connection for the model and assigned to the user and when i login with that users also all the databases are visible and have to select a database from the list of databases available for entry&approval.

More information, after running a profile trace the following 2 statements, the column with the default on a UDF returns a row while the other default does not. This might be the cause of this bug. Is the same logic to generate the object on
