"One Moment Please...." iTunes not connecting to Store

i am getting the following message when I try to open the store:
"one moment please, connecting to the itune store.... loading"
and nothing happens. the weird thing is, i get this message every time i open itunes...

I tried the Edit>Preferences thing, and when I clicked on iTunes store link, I got a message saying the iTunes store is not currently available. I haven't been able to get into the iTunes store for over a week (it won't load). I didn't install anything new or change any settings prior to that.
My sister started having the same problem on the same day. She lives elsewhere and has her own computer.

  • Itunes not connecting with store & won't update iphone 4

First, please don't tell me to look through the archives, because I already did and can't find a solution.  If you have 5 hours to search for me, please do so and let me know what thread the answer is in.
After the second to last itunes update (back in July/August, maybe?), itunes would not connect to the store.  When I went to update my iphone to the latest software, it would start backing up and then stay there forever.  When the next (latest) itunes update popped up a few weeks ago, I was thrilled because I thought the problem would be solved.  No dice.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated.  The only thing I haven't done is downgraded but that is because one, I can't find an old version of itunes, and two, I read in other threads this didn't work anyway.  I've deauthorized and reauthorized my computer.  That didn't work.  I can't sync, update, or back up my iphone.
Does anyone have any other advice???
    Thank you!
PS I just noticed that somehow I DO have the latest version of the iOS, but not sure how this happened since the iphone never connected with itunes.

Had some time at lunch to work on this issue. On my Win 7 PC I noticed the Apple USB drive had an ! mark on it in the device manager. I right clicked on it and updated driver software. I picked the automatically search for new driver. Now it works.

Your profile indicates your Mac is running v10.7.2
If that is correct, updating your system software may help.
Click Software Update from the Apple menu.
Restart your Mac after updates are installed then try the App Store.
If you can't update that way, there's a workaround.
Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
Then restart your Mac and try the App Store.

  • Solution to the "One Moment Please connecting to the iTunes store" Problem

Thought I would post this as a new topic because I see many people had the same problem as I do (did).
I kept getting the "One Momement Please connecting to the iTunes store" problem and could not figure out what was going on. I basically turned off everything I could think of "firewall, antivirus, antispyware, you name it and it still was not working.
Then I found in a thread the suggestion to delete my iTune preferences file. I did it and voila... all was fine.
So... here are the instructions. Do this first before you try anything else. It may save you A LOT OF TIME.
For VISTA the pref file is found at: C:\Users\+user name+\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. Delete the file named "iTunesPrefs.xml", restart i-Tunes and it will reset all of you preferences. You will need to enable "show hidden folders" in Folder Options in the control panel as "AppData" will be hidden otherwise.
Hope this helps. I wished I'd seen it earlier.

Unfortunately deleting the iTunesPrefs.xml didn't work for me and others.
Try this. Click on Edit..Preferences...Parental Control and place a check mark in the box to the left of iTunes Store, also place a check mark in the box to the left of Allow access to iTunes U as well and then click OK.
Now go to the store. Finally, return to Parental Control and remove the check mark beside iTunes Store.
Hopefully you will now be able to access the iTunes Store without the dreaded One Moment please message.

  • "One Moment Please... Connecting to iTunes Store... Loading"

    Hi,
Just purchased an 11" Air and the App Store just doesn't work on it. Keep on showing the following message, "One Moment Please... Connecting to iTunes Store... Loading". When I click on "Purchases", I get the following mesage, "We could not complete your App Store request" The App Store is temporarily unavailable". But I know the App Store is NOT unavailable cos I have it running fine on my MBP.
    Any ideas?
    Crazy

    Hi,
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac. Try again.
If you still can't access the MAS, click here.
    Mac App Store Customer Servoice
Also, make sure your computer's time and date are correct. Open System Preferences / Date & Time. Select the Date & Time tab then make sure the button next to: *Set date and time automatically* is selected. Click the Time Zone tab. Make sure you have the correct time zone selected.
And... because the Mac App Store is so busy, when you can't access it, wait an hour, try again.
Just found this on the MAS help viewer.
*Although anybody who logs in to your Mac can browse available applications, only an administrator can purchase, download, and install applications.* Make sure you are trying to login to the store with your admin account.
To view the source for that information, with the MAS open, click Help from the Menu bar top of your screen.

  • Can't access iTunes Store. 'One Moment Please' message.  Please help!

I downloaded the latest version (9.0.3) of iTunes at the start of this week when I bought my iPhone. Everything worked fine & I could access the iTunes store & purchased music. I had purchased music on my iPod which I transferred to my iTunes library & everything was still working fine.
Then a couple of days later I created a ringtone from a purchased song. I synced my iPhone & the ringtone works absolutely fine, however, I can no longer access the iTunes Store. The following message is displayed:
"One Moment Please, Connecting to the iTunes Store, Loading... If iTunes doesn't open , click the application in your Dock or Windows Task Bar."
I have also tried to sign in to my account however I am unable to & receive the following message:
“We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error with the iTunes Store. Please try again later.”
I use a wireless connection at home & iTunes is working absolutely fine on my other computer.
The Radio works fine, I am definitely connected to the Internet as I am accessing other sites at the same time as trying to open the store.
I have not switched to a new ISP & absolutely none of my Internet/firewall/security settings have changed in any way.
I have tried all of the following but none have fixed the problem:
I have configured Windows Firewall to allow iTunes to access the iTunes Store.
I have run Diagnostics which indicates that there is absolutely nothing wrong.
I have removed & re-installed iTunes on my laptop.
I have temporarily disabled my security software and firewalls.
I have using the MSCONFIG utility on my laptop to try & identify if a software program is preventing me from accessing the store but I still cannot access the store.
I am at a loss, I have no idea what to do next…please help, thanks!

Hi I just went through several days of the same problem, I was told to uninstall all of the Apple related software and reinstall in the order on this link
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923?viewlocale=en_US
    than follow these steps
iTunes Store, iTunes, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and Vista
    Remove pop-up blockers
Some pop-up or ad-blocking programs may interfere with the ability of iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store. Removing them in many cases will resolve the issue.
    Flush DNS Setting in Windows
In some cases, the DNS information you computer uses to connect to the Internet needs to be reset. Follow these instructions to flush your Windows DNS information:
    Windows XP
1.On the Start menu, click Run.
2.In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
3.In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
4.You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7
1.On the Start menu, point to All Programs > Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator from the shortcut menu. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
2.In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
3.You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
Note: If, in the command prompt, you see this message: "The requested operation requires elevation", close the command prompt and repeat steps 1 and 2 above to be sure that Administrator privileges are used to access to Command Prompt.
For additional troubleshooting information about connecting to the iTunes Store, see Can't connect to the iTunes Store
after all this I had to go to control panel and create a new user with administrator controls, log off and on to the new users account. In the new account itunes store finally works, I'm not sure if all of the steps I was first instructed to take were needed, but I was happy to be able to finally access the itune store again. I hope this helps someone else.
    Good Luck

    Hi there.
I'm having this problem with iTunes about a couple of days ago.
"one moment please, connecting to iTunes. Loading..."... still waiting
I have tried almost everything, I even downloaded and install iTunes again and nothing.
There are some tips on how to fix it but most of them are for PC user and not for Mac.
If any one can help I will really appreciate.

  • Starting up...one moment please

While i'd been very satisfied with the quality after switching over from TW, in less than a month, I suffered the 1st issue.  Both my STB (non dvr) stopped working at the same time.  1st telling me channel is not available, press B to troubleshoot, then proceeded to getting starting up...one moment please.  Restarting components did not resolve.  Internet, fortunately, still worked.  I used the home agent/live chat, and was able to get a customer rep in < 3 mins.  Not too bad, considering it's Fri evening on a holiday weekend.  Rep followed scripted procedure, ie. sending command to reset router...etc.  Problem persisted, and he determined it could be a bad splitter, and setup an onsite service appt for Monday.
It's a new install, so it's not confidence inspiring to have components failing so soon.  The rep stated there's no area wide issue, but is anyone aware of issues impacting NYC UES?
Or if you'd experienced this before, was the diagnostic/resolution consistent to a splitter issue?

    1. Do you have an ONT inside you unit with fiber running to it, if you are in an apartment of condo?
    2. What Model equipment do you have?
    3. Have you tried disconnecting the STBs at the splitter and swapping the connections one at a time? Leaving the Router connected of course. The Internet works so there is no use in messing with that.
    4. You may be able to get one TV up and running.
I have not seen a bad splitter unless you get some type of power surge or short in one of the cables. Some have reported one going bad. Usually they work out of the box or they don't. If you have vDSL with a separate VDSL box next to the router, it could be a bad router killing the TV signal. Other than # 3, you will probably need to wait for a tech, or get a bi-directional cable splitter from Radio Shack or somewhere else, if you are really desperate for TV. But it may not be a bad splitter, and at that point you would have wasted money, or replaced something that Verizon owes you.
Monday is a Holiday for many of us, so we will not be working anyway. If you can get them out and have an appointment for Monday, I would say great!
It never hurts to have a second set of eyes on someone else's install. I read where in one apartment the previous installer left off a low pass filter on the customers cable so the customers were seeing each others hardware which can also cause problems. The filter was located in the utility closet. But could also be installed in the unit.

  • One Moment Please....

My new podcast is live (and working via iTunes search), but when I click the "phobos" URL provided by Apple - or anybody else's for that matter - all I get is the One Moment Please and Loading screen in my browser (Firefox on PC and Mac, Safari on Mac). Nothing seems to happen at all - ever.
Am I waiting for a file to download or what? iTunes doesn't open automatically - and even if it's open nothing happens. Is it me?
