One Nano, One receiver, Two sensors and Calibration

I share a nano with my wife. We each have our own sensors, but use the one receiver. We re-link our sensor to the receiver if the other has used the nano before hand. This has worked well-for the most part. My distances and pace have become irratic in comparison to the recorded distance and pace of the treadmill. I'm feeling the need to calibrate my sensor but am concerned that it may affect the my wifes sensor since we use the one receiver.
Question: Will calibrating affect the readings of any other sensors that share the same nano and receiver?
Where is that information stored?
Thanks

You will not have any problem. You are not sharing your calibration files. Each person has their own training file on the Nano which contains their own calibration settings.

  • New sensor and calibration

I have had to get a new sensor. I'm confused on where the calibration info is stored. Will I now have to re-calibrate with the new sensor or is that info stored on the nano from my old sensor? I'm using the same receiver that I had.

Ok - after a ton of web searching I've now figured out how to fix the multiple sensor problem - add a missed run - and correct bad data.
Unfortunately I run my itunes on a vista computer - this means that before you delve into the file structure of the ipod you have to discover and run through vista's cryptic new procedure for showing hidden files. Once this is done the only way that seems to work for seeing the new sensor is to delete the old sensor. Using the copy and past you can move these to the folders under the new sensor.
So much for the idea of having both a nano sensor and the wristband sensor unless you can get them to work with the same sensor - which I haven't succeeded with yet.
Any ideas on what to do with the fact that the best bluetooth headphones and earbuds either use the sensor jack on the ipod or the nike+ sensor and bluetooth 3.5mm jack won't fit in the same nano at the same time? I have the logitech and jay bird models and both require adaptors to work with t nano.
I guess the solution will be an ipod that recognizes bluetooth on it's own but then we'll have the headache of figuring out how to get the technologies to work together - it would be nice if this stuff would just work without having to become computer programmers.

  • Is new software around for Ipod Nano 5G with the Nike sensor and Polar wearlink HeartRateMonitor to get spoken feedback on heartrate-zone, so you get a warning if your heartrate is higher or lower than the predefined range.

    I have:
Ipod Nano 5G with Nike+ sensor and Polar wearlink Heartrate monitor:
works fine, linking is easy, but....
Software is rather minimal: Heartrate is on the screen and you get feedback when the center-button is touched.
To get better results, more functions would be useful, like defining a heartrate zone (like Polar`s own-zone) and automatic spoken feedback if the heartrate is out of the pre-defined range. Also automatic spoken feedback on actual and average heartrate every pre-defined time-interval would be very useful: like the spoken feedback on distance and actual pace I get on my Iphone with Nike+GPS
    Anyone have any suggestions ?

I have the same issue! I purchased a nano 6th, polar hrm so I could run and receive spoken feedback when my heart rate was outside my preset zone.  My suunto t3 used to beep when outside the preset zones.  Automatic, periodic beeps or spoken feedback is the most important information to receive during exercise. I hope apple can update the software to add this simple yet critical feature.

    Hello,
see >>> http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html  here >>> How many computers can I install on
I quote: You may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each.
If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers. You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.
    Good luck!

  • How do i sync one itunes account with two iphones, one ipod touch, and a nano?

I need help in how to sync the one itunes account we use as a family with the two iphones my wife and i have and an ipod touch that my son has and a nano that my daughter has. Please help.

That article applies, as far as I can tell, to all things called iPod X where X can be nano, touch, classic etc.
We don't have two iPhones in the family as yet but as I understand it each device can have separate settings for syncing calendars and contacts. For example my iPhone syncs these over the air with the Exchange server at work so if/when my wife gets an iPhone it would be easy to have hers sync to our computer
To make sure your apps don't inadvertently merge turn off Automatically sync new apps from the apps tab when you connect your device.
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways for managing the media content. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iDevices using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their device. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed and need rebuilding. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

  • Calibrate two sensors for one runner and one iPod?

in my quest to find a way to get an accurate reading for flat runs versus my hilly-course runs, I bought a second Nike+ Sport-Kit. I calibrated the new Sensor#2 on the gradually rising course, leaving the Sensor#1 calibrated to the flatter courses and (I thought) also stored.
When I switched back to Shoe Sensor#1, lo and behold, the calibration from Sensor#2 remained.
So, I then calibrated the flat course for sensor #1.
But the next day when I switched to Sensor #2, then the one and only calibration was from Sensor #1 and was totally inaccurate for the hilly course
Is there then any way to have one runner, using one iPod and two sensors, to have calibration runs retained and used and identified WITH the respective sensor?

but can i then only ever use both the iphone and itouch with that particular mac?
you can use home sharing to transfer media files (incl. apps) between the two Macs. if you and your wife use separate Apple ID's to purchase content, authorize the wife's machine for yours and yours for hers.
is there a way to make both portable devices work with both macs?
by design, iOS devices sync with only one library at a time.
i am hoping the "home sharing" feature will be the answer but so far i have not been able to make it work.

  • Can I use more than one blue-tooth device at the same time on IPhone 4S? Like a wireless headsets and speed and cadence sensor for cycling computer, receive the data and listen music simultaneously

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

Did you change the email address or create a new Apple ID?
If the email address associated with the account was merely changed, sign out of the Apple ID on the devices and sign in using the new credentials.

  • File Adapter - Reading 2 files from sender and one file to receiver

All - I am looking for a best solution for reading two files from sender and generating one file to the receiver.
    Here is the scenario
Sender file s - A is a master file. B is a detail file; B will have a one to many records for each record of File A.. that is the relation ship between 2 files..  I am looking for a better solution to
    Example
    Input:
File A will have a record like "summary1 ABC 1234"
File B will have a record like "Detailfor Summary1 CDF 8679"
    Output:
    File C shall have a record "consolidatedofSummary&Detail ABC 1234 8679"
    1) read records of master row and detail row from these 2 files
    2) do the mapping to the receiver output format which it is creating for records with some harcoded values and based on the values from master and detail rows of sender file
if I can accomblish reading sender files and do the mapping to the receiver , assume that mapping to the receiver format would not be cumbersome.
    please help me...
    Thanks

    Hi Gopal,
Ur approach to the interface is perfect.... Go ahead.
For selecting multiple files in source use Advanced Selection for files.. and specify the directory paths and also the file name shema...
This will fetch the 2 files into the integration engine... then u map the 2 source files to one target file(2:1 mapping).
Specify accordingly the receiver side FCC and test it end to end...
If u face any prblm post here... some1 will help u out..

  • Why is it in the Apple store in Fresno, Ca there are no scheduled one on one sessions in Aperture, Iphoto, Pages, motion, and several other programs. I purchased two for $200.00 and wonder what's happening

    1. I've purchased two one on one training cards in the Fresno Apple Store.
    2. For the past week and a half I've tried to schedule a personal or group in Aperture, Imovie, motion and the schedule shows to future times.
    3. What is going on that I cannot receive training in any of this popular topics. WHAT'S GOING ON?

    Hi,
You've posted your question on the Apple-sponsored user-to-user discussion forum for Aperture.  Apple prepares for us this little clearing in the orchard, but otherwise is not here.  Your questions should be addressed to the Fresno Apple Store personnel.

I do exactly as Thomas Reed does. Always have from day one. Going on 15 months now and I get at least 10 hours of use out the battery every day. No matter how much juice is left on the device when I go to bed - I put the iPad on the charger - doesn't matter what the battery gauge says - I plug it in and let it charge all night.

  • Receiving two identical emails insted of one

For a while now I have been receiving two identical emails insted of one from whoever e-mails me (junk mail too) can anyone help me solve this problem? Thankyou in advance.

    Hello ssr123456,
If you use the Gmail Labs, did you by chance add the Advanced IMAP Controls label by Jamie N? If so, remove that lab and reset all labels to default. Afterwards, try to re-validate your Gmail account.
Let me know how you make out.
    Thanks!

  • Two librarys, one nano...possible?

I had one library on my main computer and then downloaded itunes on my office computer. when I pluged my nano into the second computer, all my songs were erased! is this normal ? can i have two librarys?

yes, just on both machines make sure is does not say anything about automatic under the preferences/ipod tab. if you check the box that says "manually at songs" you dont have to worry about your songs being deleted each time.

  • Three CMs or Two CMs and One SRST Reference

Noticing documentation on CUCM and phone registration stating that a phone can receive "either up to three CUCM servers or two CUCM and one SRST reference." (emphasis mine).  Does this mean it is one OR the other; you can either have three CMs in your CM Group or you can have two CMs in a group and one SRST reference?  We've normally configured three CMs in a CM Group AND an SRST reference.  Suppose I could view a cnf file and look at it myself, but thought it would be good to ask the question here for future reference.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

That's 3 CUCM servers in the CUCM group + SRST reference.
