One network account cannot access BPC 7

We are using BPC 7 on Microsoft. We have one user that is having trouble accessing BPC, we'll call her J. Everything used to work fine for her. Recently it stopped working. She is still in the appropriate network security groups. Here is what happens now.
Whenever J is logged in to a computer, you cannot connect to BPC in the wizard using any account. The error is "The system cannot connect to the (HTTP://Server) Application server. Verify that you have specified a valid Application server name, or see if the Application server is unavailable at this time." However, when you log in to the same computer as a different user, you can then connect to BPC in the wizard using J's account or anyone else's. We have replicated this on multiple computers.
I don't think it's a server issue because everyone else works. I don't think it's a computer issue because you can log on as someone else and it works. I don't think it's a desktop profile issue, because it happens on multiple computers. I don't think it's a BPC account issue, because if you log on to the computer as someone else, you can then connect to BPC using her account. That just leaves the network account, but I am not sure what to check.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello,
This has been a common issue for customers, and we are working diligently to resolve this issue. It usually occurs when a user attempts to acces an appset while offline or in the process of modifying an application or processing a dimension.

Jason

  • Error: Sorry, your account cannot access the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite

A few days ago I ordered Creative Cloud account. Since that when I try to log in into Folio Producer I receive this message:
Sorry, your account cannot access the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. Please contact Customer Support for help.
At the same time I do can log in into Folio Builder in my InDesign CS6 and even add folios. Might be this error by someway linked to that I had in the past DPS Pro account?
    Thank you in advance.

This issue does not have solution. I came up to DPS developing team, anyone does not want to fix manually each account and they do not have an automatic solution.

  • I am connected to my wireless network but cannot access the internet. Any ideas?

I am connected to my wireless network but cannot access the internet. Any ideas?

Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

  • Connected to home network, but cannot access internet on ipad

I have got strong signal on home network but cannot access the internet. Tried resets, etc

It could be a simple problem that needs a reset for the related devices. Other than that, try to control the security settings and passwords of your home network. You might be using WEP password protocol to connect your home network. Try to use WPA protocol instead of WEP. Maybe it will help to solve your problem.

  • Network Account Cannot Log On

New, fresh install of 10.8.2 OS X Server. DHCP, DNS, Open Directory, File Sharing all working. Server hostname is set to myserver.private. Two users are created:
test1 (and other accounts) has a network home, on AFP-shared Users, enabled for Home Directories
test2 home is set to Local Only
On an MBP 10.8.2, successfully joined to myserver.private, I try to log-in with those two network accounts. One works, the other does not:
test2 is able to log-on without a problem, log-out, and log-on, and so on,
test1 seems to authenticate, but cannot log on, displays message "You are unable to log in to the user account "test1" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."
After failing with test1, test2 will also produce the same error, until I log-in and log-out successfully with a local MBP account, or it has been rebooted.
The only error related to test1 that I can see in the Console logs is:
    authorizationhost[1197]: ERROR | -[HomeDirMounter mountNetworkHomeWithURL:attributes:dirPath:username:] | PremountHomeDirectoryWithAuthentication( url=afp://myserver.private/Users, homedir=/Network/Servers/myserver.private/Users/test1, name=test1 ) returned 64
Now, if I change test1 home directory setting (using Server.app) to "Local Only", I will be able to log-in on the MBP, however no home directory is provided (it serves the root of the local file system). If I log-out, and then use the Server.app to change it back to the previously set network home, I will be able to log-in with this account on the MBP with test1, but not with any other accounts that have a network home directory.
Any ideas why I am getting the "You are unable to log in" error in the first place? Many thanks for any hints...

It seems that the problem is that LS cannot prompt you for connection requests during the very early login stage, ie. when you are still at the login window, so the connection gets rejected and the login fails.
If you disable the LS then upon first login you will get a dialog from LS saying that there were connection attempts during login, and allow you to verfiy them, I tried it now on the second mac, and it seems that all that matters is the NetAuthSysAgent - allow outgoing connections to domain yourdomainname, but this is a rule of the user you are logging into!

  • Asphire one D255-KK116 cannot access bios

Good Day Guys. Hope you can help me with my problem. I brought a asphire one D255-KK116 online without a hard drive. So I brought a hard drive of 500GB,AF 4K sector and install the drive. But when I started to boot the laptop to install the OS, it won't boot in even in BIOS it cannot access or enter into it only shows a blinking cursor ( _ ) and the display only backlight is lighted. Hope you can help me with this.

OK, I disconnected all pci cards and ide drives....I only took the ide cables out at the drive ends and not the mobo ends. Disconnected the USB and Firewire cables. Then retried the CMOS suggestion cos I wasn't sure that I had turned on the pc when jumper set to 2 & 3. The problem still occurs. When you say turn on the pc with the jumper set to 2 & 3 what I did was I took the power lead out at the back then changed the jumper setting. Then I put the power lead back in and the pc wouldn't switch on. I then took the power lead back out, replaced the jumper to 1 & 2, replaced power lead and turned back on. Still the same problem.
Could it be the battery at all? That's the only thing I can think of now other than a fried mobo. If it is the battery what is the proper routine with this so I don't bugger up the mobo yet further?

  • One POP account cannot retrieve mail

We have one mac out of three that cannot retrieve mail from an earthlink pop account Two macs (20" imac intel core 2 duo running 10.4.8 and 12" ibook G4 running 10.3.9) can retrieve mail for the account in question from the earthlink server without difficulty. Mail can also be retrieved via WebMail. the 17" imac intel core duo running 10.4.8 cannot retrieve mail. Mail asks for the password over and over. The settings are the same on all three Macs. Connection doctor can connect to the smtp server using the same setup without difficulty but cannot connect to the POP server. We've tried deleting and re-entering the account. We've tried the Key chain repair tool. We tried deleting the pop password from key chain. I've dragged stuff out of the preferences folder and on and on. Nothing has worked. I even tried re-installing the 10.4.8 update. I tried re-installing Mail from the startup disk and then running the update. Nothing. We're not using a firewall. We use an Airport network but, again, all the settings are the same for all three computers.
    Any suggestions.
imac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   17" imac intel core duo

Go to System Preferences > Network > Show: Network Port Configurations, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
Also, try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible, i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc., and see whether that makes a difference.
The Mac OS X 10.4.7 Update introduced connection issues as a result of (according to the documentation) “Mail now supports connecting to mail servers through a SOCKS proxy”. If that’s the problem, you must go to System Preferences > Network and disable the SOCKS Proxy in the network configuration used to connect to the Internet, if it’s enabled -- I don’t think you would be able to send if that was the problem, though.

  • Is it possible to set up Time Capsule on one network and then access its stored data (movies) using Back to My Mac from another network that also has Apple TV to play them?

I recently purchased a Time Capsule to store data at my office.  I have an Apple TV at my home that I would like to start using to play my movies.  With the storage of the new Time Capsule, I am curious if I can somehow store my iTunes movies on the Time Capsule at my office and then use Back to My Mac to access the TC from my home and then play them via Apple TV.  Does this sound possible?  We have an iMac at the office that remains on 24/7 connected to the TC.

ATV cannot play movies from the TC, even if it is on your home network.. ATV is a streamer.. it is not a media player.. and the TC is a dumb as a board hard disk in a router.. so it has nothing in it either.
You cannot play movies from ATV without itunes, which streams to the ATV.
If the iMac is running 24/7 then you should be able to connect to the iMac remotely and run from iTunes on that, which could then play movies stored on the TC.. with the following issues.. if you use wireless on the iMac forget it. The iMac has to be ethernet connected as it has to pick up the movie on the library and play it back to the TC to network to your home.
The next issues is speed of slowest connection.
Your download to your home maybe great.. what is the upload speed from your office like??
If you pay for uploads and downloads you will pay for the movie 3x.. first to download it.. second to upload it.. office to net..  and third to download it again.. net to home..  Sorry but it is better to play the movie directly from online itunes store.
If you plan to try and play non-itunes movies over the connection, it won't work.. ATV as stated is linked to itunes and cannot play movie files.
Overall this sounds like you need to think it out a bit more.

  • Farm Account cannot access some pages in Central Administration

I am working with a new installation of SharePoint 2013 farm using least-privileged administration. I used a server local admin account to setup SharePoint and to run the Farm setup wizard. During the wizard I used the domain account I had created as the
Farm account. Today I signed in to the Central Admin as the Farm Account (SYSTEM ACCOUNT) and there was a health analyzer problem to correct. "The server farm account should not be used for other services." In the announcement there is a link for
Farm Credential Management. I click the link and the page states "Sorry this site has not been shared with you." I tried to access Security, Configure Service Accounts and got same error. I am able to go to every other link as far as I can tell.
Can anyone share any advice? How can I get around this problem. Thanks for the help.

  • Can see and recognize my wireless network and Internet is working, but I can't connect with ANY computers/iPad/iPod/air TV, etc. I have reset the time machine several times, and can see the network, but cannot access it with any device. PLEASE HELP!

I have Comcast Internet and have it connected to a Motorla Surfboard modem and have that running directly to a 2TB Time Capsule. The TC is serving as our time machine as well as our wireless router. We lost power in a storm a week ago and can no longer connect to my wireless network I can see the network and sign into it via password, but cannot connect with any device(iMac, MacBook, iPhones, iPod touches, air tv, etc.). ALL of these devices worked gat before the power went out. I reset both modem and TC and still can't connect. I can connect to the Internet through Ethernet cord directly from the modems dn have confirmation(per Comcast service) that the Internet is working and we have a good connection.
The TC is less than six months old so I'm not sure what is wrong. I have reset settings with TC to no avail. I have reset the TC SEVERAL times and have no idea what could be wrong and what is prohibiting me from connecting. Anyone that has ANY suggestions or ideas as to how to fix this, PLEASE HELP!!!  I'm going crazy using iPad 3G and not being able to connect to our wifi. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO THE 21ST CENTURY!

Anyone have any ideas or information to help with this?  Any help and consideration is MUCH appreciated.

  • Connected to the Airport Express network, but cannot access internet

I am using Airport Express (n) to create a wireless network in my apartment. It is connected via ethernet to a Motorola cable modem. My Macbook and iphone are on the network and I am able to connect to the internet without issue. I have a new Samsung N120 (wireless b/g) which finds and connects to the wireless network (Signal Strenth=excellent)but I am unable to connect to the internet. My Airport settings are for n, b/g compatible. The N120 has had no trouble connecting to other wireless networks. Samsung and the Cable Company can offer no insight, hoping for the Apple experts to help me figure this one out. Thanks!

    Welcome to the discussion area!
Once you have the wireless connection established from the Samsung, have you power cycled your complete network? If not, power down every device including the Samsung DVD player. Order is not important.
After a few minutes, start the modem first and let it run a few moments alone. Then power up the AirPort Express and let it run a few moments. Next, power up computers one at a time for a few minutes and check to make sure that you can establish internet connectivity. Finally, power up other devices one at a time and check for internet connectivity.
Not sure what else to suggest as your post indicates that the AirPort Express is functioning correctly.

  • Server with same Profile cannot access same networking

    Hi,
I have a lab running 1 x Nexus 5010, 2 x FIC 6120'XP's, UCS 5108 and 2 x B200 M2 Blades. I have configured everything per flexpod guidelines (except I have only 1 Nexus). I boot from SAN over Fibre and zoning everything is working 100% My firmware is 2.1(1f)
    Question:
Assinged to each blade is 2 vNICs connected to FabricA and FabricB (FabricA = port-channel from FICA to Nexus and FabricB = port-channel from FICB to Nexus - Nexus has 2 different port-channels conf for each link to each FIC)
After I install VMware, I tag vlan 10 (management vlan) for the management traffic of each VMware node. The funny thing is when I ping server 2, iget a response but not from server 1. Both are configured using the same service profile. If I ping server 1 from server 2, I get a response. This leads me to believe that for some reason the traffic is not leaving the FIC from server 1, but it is when using server 2. I have attached screenshots of both servers vifpaths.
Can someone please help urgently as this is driving me crazy as I do not know what the hell is going on.
    Cheers

    Hello
    Hope this solution will help.
Just found my notes on deleting the users profile:
"Deleted Profile logs back in with temporary profile.
This problem occurs if the current user's profile was accidentally deleted from the system.
Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry
    1. Log on to the system by using an administrative user account other than the user account that is experiencing the problem.
    2. Back up all data in the current user's profile folder if the profile folder still exists, and then delete the profile folder. By default, the profile resides in the following location:
    %SystemDrive%\Users\UserName
    3. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
    4.Locate the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
5.Under the ProfileList subkey, delete the subkey that is named SID.bak.
Note SID is a placeholder for the security identifier (SID) of the user account that is experiencing the problem. The SID.bak subkey should contain a ProfileImagePath registry entry that points to the original profile folder of the user account that is experiencing the problem.
    6. Exit Registry Editor.
    7. Log off the system.
    8. Log on to the system again."
