One Note keeps trying to purchase

I installed what was supposed to be a free app - Microsoft One Note onto my iPad. It was worthless so I deleted it, especially after I found out it was a $14.99 in app purchase. Now everytime I update a product it says "Unable to purchase OneNote at this time." - which is fine I don't want it but how do I ..
a) Get rid of OneNote once and forever
b) make my iPad stop doing that?

I had mine mess up a few months ago and tried to get the e-mail three different times and it never came. I ended up scheduling for a tech to call me to figure it out.

This has been an issue with some users for close to 24 hours now. I've been getting the error for the last 5 or so hours myself.
Having problems is understandable, it happens. and if this is related to the iCloud hack reported yesterday it is good to know Apple is trying to fix the issue.
But it sure would be nice if there was an official statement from Apple concerning this.

When I go to purchase a song, both yesterday and today, after inputing my password and other account info for purchasing, I am unable to download the songs Im trying to purchase and keep getting kicked out of the system as if going in circles. It's maddening to say the least. HERE is what Ive done to exhaust my efforts in resolving the issue...and with minimal support from APPLE:
Ive also tried downloading via wifi on my ITOUCH. Still nothing.
I've emailed apple support and havent received ANY response within the promised 24 hour period. Ive also CALLED them twice unsuccesfully to get this issue resolved.
Ive also tried establishing another new account to see if this issue could just be with my original account...still nothing.
Ive also tried reinstalling ITUNES on my computer and doing a system restore to resolve the issue & STILL havent resolved it.
Im ****** OFF THAT APPLE doesnt provide better support or live support for ITUNES issues. Ive bought hundreds of dollars worth of music and this kind of service is unacceptable!!!

How can I [politely] tell iTunes NOT to keep trying to start itself up

Logged into my PC. Get a dialog, "iTunes cannot start up because another user has it open. Tell that user to quit and try again". I say OK. Well, that dialog returns after a few minutes. So, i try the "X" on the dialog. It returns after a few minutes. I kill the iTunes process. The process restarts and the dialog returns after a few minutes. For this user account, i delete every folder and reference to iTunes under this User. The dialog returns.
It wouldn't be so bad if i could just minimize the dialog and let it be. But, every few minutes it pops to the foreground and interrupts what i'm doing. Now, talk about being SUPER RUDE!!
All I want to say to this dialog is "fine, its ok that another user has it open. No, i do not want to tell them to quit. So, please do not keep trying to launch". Or, less politely, "Stop driving me #$#$&&$^ crazy".
Is there any way i can give the message i just said, get rid of this dialog? No, i can't log into that other account -- don't know the password. But, i want to work on the PC without being incessantly bothered! I never use iTunes from this account, so I'd be happy to shut if off forever, for this account.

Something on your PC is auto-launching iTunes, if it is not that iPod setting. Do you have any itunes plug-ins? Such as, an instant messenger that shows what itunes is playing?
You might need to have some quality time with Task Manager > Processes tab, looking at what processes are running and what gives a blip on CPU usage right before iTunes gets launched.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

I purchased a book on one macbook in my itunes account. I tried to open it on another account while logging into itunes account. The book does not appear.
I have tried updating purchases, the bottom at the bottom-update purchases from another device. Still does not appear.

If it's an audiobook then you will need to copy it over from the first computer to the second computer - audiobooks are currently one-time only downloads, so they won't appear under the Purchased link for re-downloading. If you copied it onto a device from the first computer then you should be able to copy it off that device to the second computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. If it's not on a device and both computers are on the same wifi network then you should be able to copy it over via home sharing (there are instructions on this page), or you can copy it to, for example, a flash drive (you can find it's location on the first computer by control-clicking it in your iTunes library and selecting 'Show In Finder') and then add it to the second computer's iTunes (File > Add To Library).
If it's an ibook then you should be able to re-download it from the store : re-downloading.

I would like to know the answer to that one. I realized this was happening just after upgradeing my iOS to 6. Then when I looked up my purchase date, I was about 5 days past my one year warranty. So I'm dead in the water. Apple will replace the battery, but it will be about $80+. I took it to the Apple store, and they checked a bunch of stuff, but said that it seemed ok. I'm debating getting a battery for a more reasonable price off of ebay. But if it's the iOS thats draining the battery, then I'm not going to be able to help it. I wish I knew a better way to tell if its the battery, the phone, or the iOS.

Error: ' The Update could not be installed (patch apply failed)' . It keeps trying to install this patch but my version is the latest one!!

I have the latest version of firefox. I know this because your website says so. But for some reason, my current firefox keeps trying to install a new version by "trying" to install a patch. But it fails every time.
I cant say exactly when this started. A few weeks ago, firefox was behaving erratically (crashing for no reason at every launch due to some video plugin fail) but i uninstalled and reinstalled (a few times) and it was fine after the last one.

If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
