Audiobooks purchased from Audible.com. They play on iTunes on my computer. They have been playing on my iPod Classic until two days ago. I'm in the middle of two books and now one does not keep track of where I am and the other does not play. I also have other books not playing on the iPod that use to play. They all play on iTunes on my computer.

How will having another icloud email benefit me. I have my work email which is all i require, but had to set up a @me account to get email on my Macbook.
I have a Mac computer that i upgraded to Mountain lion, a macbook pro and an iPhone 4s which has the latest software. all i want is simplicity and to have one email account which which will not duplicate everything 4 or 5 times.
My notes are duplicated, i have to delete my emails individually on all devices so whenever i put my phone on, all the emails i have deleted at work re-appear on my phone and again the same thing happens on my Macbook pro. I seem to spend all my time deleting emails 3 times.
Is there something simple in the set up of these that i am missing?

I am trying to set an open DNS using the MacAir. But when I tried to flush the existing one at utilities/terminal, it will not work. I am using Yosemite. May I know what should be the command line so that I can shift to an open DNS? Thanks

Suddenly, one of my iPhone libraries will not open with 86 gigs of images: it opens and says there are no photos, yet by other looking, all the images are there and when backing up, it takes an hour.
Somehow iPhoto application will not recognize the images (over 13,000) in the file.

Dr. Harris, BermudaTo move from iPhoto 08 (which is v7) to iPhoto 11 (which is v9) requires that you purchase iPhoto 11. Your software update is running just fine. V7.1.5 is last version of iPhoto 08.
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
As to the problematic library:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
I am starting to affiliate market and need a donotfollow plug in or add on and the one available on your site will not work with version 4 of Firefox. Is there another place I can go or do you have another add on that will perform the same function as the do not follow you have on your site for the previous versions of Firefox? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OK - to answer my own question, Apple recommend 8.2.1, but you can install 9.1.1 and it will run on a G3. Very slowly. Looks like this is the only option. Get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1036. You need OSX 10.4.11 or later though....

One of my pages documents will not open. the others will
Hello, wondering if anyone has any answers here. One (only one) of my pages document will not open. The message says `the document couldn`t be opened` and there is a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it, next to the message. I used this document this morning, no problem. Also, I checked other pages documents and there is no problem only with one.

This may help. In Finder, right click (or control click) on the document icon and Open With > Preview. If this works, copy the content and paste it into a new blank Pages document.

Second part of audio book will not play.
I recently started to buy and play audio books through iTunes. Three of my books are in two parts. For two of those books the second book will not play. I suspect a syncing issue but can’t figure out how to fix the problem.

When I try to start my Garageband 6.05,I get a repetitive message that the core audio midi will not start. If I choose to ignore it, report it or reopen it, it just keeps coming up and garage will not load or start up? Any suggestions? THanks
I'm just guessing at this point, but I suspect that you have installed a midi driver on your computer for some external device, and, since GarageBand's midi capabilities are limited in some ways, chances are your audio/midi driver is asking GarageBand to do something more than it's made to do, causing core audio's midi function to crash.
If that's the case, you might want to try adjusting your midi device's driver settings, or uninstalling your midi device's driver, and then see if GarageBand starts up normally without it. -
The first few movies I rented began to play shortly after the download started, but the one I'm renting today will not let me play during the download. Why?

I am trying to access tax forms from the IRS. I download them to my comuter and they read fine (version XI). However, when iItry to open them on another computer (version 4) they will not open. Version 4 opens all other pdf documents fine, just not the ones from the IRS. Any ideas?
Version 4 is oh so old.
The IRS and many other providers of forms are using products like LIveCycle which require at least version 7.05.

When I click "Buy Now" in iPhoto's book I get the following message: "Your book appears to have default text that has not been edited. Printed books will not include this text. Do you want to continue?"
How do I proceed? How do I identify which is "default text?"What version of iPhoto are you using?
Go thru each page, check the layout to see if there's a text box included on the page and make sure there is text in that text box. If not it may show the "holding" text like this:
If you don't want to change the page layout to one that only has photos and no text boxes just select that holding text and put a space in its place.

using itunes10 and purchased audio books but they wont open or play!Are you positive they are in mp3 format? Try using MediaInfo Mac and get the codec description. It should say MPEG Layer III or something similar.
Will the files play in Quicktime?
iTunes has been known to not play some mp3 files, but we should ascertain first these are definitely mp3. If they truly are then sometimes the free utility MP3 Scan+Repair has been known to fix issues. -

Using Win 7 and latest download of iTunes, the software will not recognize my music CDs when inserted in my DVD drive. I put a CD in the drive and nothing happens. iTunes does not have a "start" button, or some menu option to tell it to begin copying music to the library, so it just sits there. When I first installed iTunes, it would open the CDs, but I would get an error message after the first track started to transfer. Now, after a coupel uninstalls, disc cleanup, etc., nothing happens when I insert the CD. I am lost here and about to sell my new Ipod Classic because it is useless to me. Maybe I'm just too old to own something like this? Any (serious) suggestions would be appreciated.
In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first.
